lego parts reproduction(potential legal stuff involved/)
Maple replied to fiachrab's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Short version: Personal use you would be fine. Selling them you get tricky. LEGO is copyright, you will be in trouble as soon as LEGO finds out, more so selling them. Long version: LEGO doesn't hold the copyright on classic plastic brick anymore. However they do on other pieces, more so the minifigure parts. Companies make train track pieces and sell them for insane amounts of money. Not sure if they are any copies or just new curves. LEGO is copyright so you couldn't have that on your brick. That be a huge no no. I'm surprised you even asked. That can get into areas of fraud even. -

$70 for a 250 piece farm set? I think I'd get banned if I said how I really feel about that. -

In that case I say we go look for Mr. No or Dr. No or whatever that mentally ill guy's name is. I love the fact I got the email saying it takes 5-6 weeks when it was already past 6 weeks. -

What if the 'goat boat' doesn't mean animal but just means 'Greatest Of All Time' Boat?

My neighbor washed his 80s LEGO for his children. They didn't want the old LEGO, only new LEGO. So they were never dried out correctly. I just added dish soap, maybe even a splash of bleach to the 18 gallon container and the pieces are still fine.

I don't think it increases or decreases the chance the next theme is Spaced based. I don't think it will happen, unless it's a minidoll theme.

Right? In the USA lego.com becomes lego.com/en-us so I'm guessing a few times LEGO just got a little mixed up and because UK. It stopped, but just funny you bring that up. -
Being you have no idea what those will be, why do you want to preorder so badly?
-
If you preorder the sets now and buy something in stock you will get the current promos. If you preorder during double points you will get double points. But I don't know about physical promos. I haven't preordered enough as it's a bit of a waste of time to me.

It's funny you say this. For some reason when I type in lego.com it sends me to the British site. I even deleted the cookies and it's done it at least a dozen times the last couple months. Sometimes weird things happen. -

My thoughts exactly. On my bike ride yesterday drivers took my side when someone almost hit me. It's the end times! -

Same baseplates, exactly the same, just paper packaging and the $7-8 price is now $10. Big Grey one is still $15. -
Yikes. I sometimes skip like 20 pages because I've seen people disagree with me and then just go on for pages. Like in the Blizzard work abuse topic. Just step out and walk away. haha

My order from December finally just got billed! -
I'm not assuming you will die. I'm just stating the fact you haven't seen the set yet. haha

Very unpopular opinion, we will get a Post office set before we get a new goat. To be fair, you might not live to see the day as we haven't seen the grocery store yet. However there have been several Friends schools and a 4+ set from years ago that was a grocery store in a pink suitcase. Parcels? I don't think children know that word. But the kids know where to take the packages, to Kohl's or Whole Foods.

Exactly. Rename them 'holy bricks', just like the new two stud tall piece is called a 'prick'.

60246 is the worst LEGO police station ever made in the history of the company, or at least the history of the minifigure. -
We are no getting a goat mold anytime soon aka this year.

All I hear is you need more credit cards. (But seriously, sorry that sucks.) Yeah and the quality used to be fine and the last 3-5 years have dropped like a rock. It's a $200 set and it's a major screw up. I'll continue building it and see what happens then shoot an email to LEGO. It might be an issue at the Mexico plant again like with the STUNTZ bikes.

It's 9pm here, LEGO is closed. I went on Amazon and people have complained about 'missing' pieces. I don't think they are missing. I think LEGO screwed up steps 3 and 4. Like small bag in bag 3 was supposed to be in bag 4 and vis versa. But on a $200 LEGO set this is not acceptable. Also I got it off ebay for 35-40% off because the box is bent up. So it's not going back, I was never planning on buying it because I figured I would never get it for a price I wanted but glitter bricks are my downfall.
-
Here's an unpopular opinion. (sarcasm) I expect my $200 LEGO set not to be missing pieces or actually getting them in the right bag! I'm building the Frozen Castle and a small bag needed in bag 3 is in bag 4.
-
My only problem with these is LEGO can't keep up with demand of all the sets they make. I'd argue they make too many sets. Because of this the quality of bricks is now dino poopoo. So now they are making even more random weird sets and I'm afraid LEGO is spreading themselves too thin.
