    Hi. Just received the instructions from Mirko. They are so great. Now I'm starting sourcing all the parts from my stock before going on PAB and Bricklink. For those of you who have built it already, how do you display the U wing? On its landing gear or on its stand? Other than the red parts which can be whatever colors, the boat weights which can be red and the black wheel that you can change to DBG, is there smart part or color choice to reduce the bill? Thanks!

    I do think that using old part can be the main reason of unstable assembly. I have used old ones at some locations and the clutch strength is definitely not enough to hold firmly. But managed to do it eventually... without any glue!

    Finished my Red5 tonight. What a beauty. And such a great building experience. Unfortunately the tooth technic gear inside the gearbox broke apart when I tried opening the wings. Surely due to the fact I have been using old parts, very old parts ... (at least 20 years old...). Other than that everything is perfect.

    Hi Jerac Just for info and in case you will update the instructions, from p63 to 68 the slope 45 2 x 1 (3040pb010) and the printed tile 3069bps1 are missing in the views. Same from 74 to 80.

    Hi. Started the build today for Red5. Really interesting so far. One question though. P34 stage 16 we are supposed to add 8x technic pin connector round 1L (18654). It is working fine on the right with 4 studs available but I have got only 3 available on the left. These 3 studs can be seen on page 24 stage 9. Do you see what I mean? Thanks for your feedback

    BL order and PAB order done for RED5. With my stock of parts (I have the 75218 but when I saw this moc I took it apart... ) I managed to get all the missing parts for 100€ shipping included which is not too bad. Can't wait for the orders to arrive now ?. To reduce the cost of the BL order I changed some parts/colors : - cockpit from 75218 (because I had it) - jumper plate are 3794b in the part list. I used the more recent one 15573 -the tile modified with clip 2555 I replaced by more commonly used 15712 - the wheel spoked 2x2 30155 are really expensive in lbg. Went for light gray instead. Will send a pic when I am done.

    Got myself the yoda's hut and some PAB to get the Black card exclusive set... AT this point I would not be surprised if it was coming completely loose in the shipping box... ?

    I wrote to TLG to ask them about the VIP black card advantages telling them I was disappointed by the lack of any advantages so far except the vipx2 which was not really interesting to say the least... They replied saying that they would forward my feedback / worries to the VIP customer service. They said to keep an eye on the S@H for may the 4th as their might be sale on so on (we already knew that though...). They also said they can't say more to keep the surprise effect. Don't really what that means as we already know there will be Vipx2 on sets and some will have 20% off and there will be the bb8 polybag... Maybe an exclusive minifigure on top of that?

    Just bought the same part on BL, new condition but in 162 stud long. It seems that this lenght was much more common. I will cut it to length (I need twice 69 stud long so that should be plenty) and add the bricks that i dismounted on either ends.

    Thanks. I have seen a video on Youtube about changing the wires. Might try doing that thanks Mine are definitely matt and with a rubbery feel. And they are falling apart...

    Hello I am rebuilding my space shuttle technic 8480. The parts 5306bc069 (Electric, Wire with Brick 2 x 2 x 2/3 Pair, 69 Studs Long) really are in bad shape. Getting new ones (or not as damaged ones) on Bricklink is way to expensive so I was wondering if any of you knew of a more recent part that would do the job? thanks
