Thank you, lightningtiger! I do my best I'm glad you appreciate the little 'meta-data' (or simply extra description details) I added. I too like it when builders link to reference material: I think it adds a better insight on the origin of a model and helps undertand the use of some techniques. Fell free to use it Thank you, prateek. Actually, I defended my PhD thesis on the 5th of February, so now I'll need luck to find a new job Simply because I didn't think about it That, and because the two pieces I have in that shape are one in Dark Grey and the other in Dark Turquoise, which would stand out quite a bit when compared to the original item LuxorV

Thank you! I was worried the 'blocky' shape could look a bit off, but it came out better then I forsaw I too like to think so Well, as said that's the idea behind my experiment. Of course, everybody can use the design freely! Nice idea, YG-49! If I'll ever make an Alien attack scene, I'll use it That's one of my favourite things about LEGO models: even if you are not much in a series or concept, you can appreciate it and see it under a new light through them LuxorV

The Penguin's Harry Potter minifigures..... )
LuxorV replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very nicely done as always, The Penguin Am I right in thinking we'll see more HP characters from you in the next weeks? LuxorV -
Our member The Penguin, following the current interest for the up-coming new Harry Potter sets, shares some lovely custom figures dedicated to three Hogwarts characters which do not have a LEGO counterpart yet. (Click on the image to see the figs in detail and join the discussion)

Don't worry, everything is ok I just need to re-fresh the memory of our posting 'rules' from time to time. Your post just reminded me to do it As for the double post matter, I figured it had to be related to some sort of page-refreshment problem. We all know this things happen from time to time, and they can give funny or at least unexpected results Happy customising and 'Play well'! LuxorV

@ MustangMatt68 - I'm glad to hear you found the links useful Happy hunting designing, then LuxorV

How much do you want an official Lego moonbase module?
LuxorV replied to smegged's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I agree with Legostein. Moonbase, as well as Steampunk, is a natural development of the LEGO world by LEGO fans. Ok, it could be nice if everyone of us could build a few (or some more) modules of the moon base like those by great builders around the community, but having official LEGO sets for that would kill part of the fun, IMHO. Seeing these I really feel the need to re-discover my old Classic Space sets, and then pimp them! Great job to the builders and thanks for sharing the pics, charlieboy LuxorV

Nice use of the parts, Tom Bricks! I have been toying with the idea of a paratrooper or simply a sport-para for some time now, too. Maybe you could try with some sails from the Pirate ships, for a bigger parachute (although the fabric is not equilateral in that case)... LuxorV

Very clever and creative design, Legorski! I love the variety of models you made For how long can they spin, and which has the highest endurance? LuxorV

They're working for me now Nice vig/MOC, YG-49! Any useful insight on the building/customising of the welding tool? LuxorV

Really great job here, lego-maniac This kind of things are always interesting to see in LEGO form, and for some reason we are always surprised to see them, because they are the things we expect the least! Good luck for the contest! LuxorV

After seeing Bobskink's magistral custom Xenomorph I decided to make a 'purist' version of this facinating alien lifeform. I kept the 'black skelton' base as it is just perfect, and I toyed with the head, spine and tail design. (click to jump to the gallery) Even if it (obviously) can't be compared with Bobskink's really oganic piece, I'm quite happy with the result, especially the tail termination and the spines (those big claw/teeth pieces are just so useful!). Here is a pic of the Xenomorph in 'action' agains a strangely long-haired space marine Comments and critics are welcome

Hi there, I just wanted to share a simple MOC I made a few weeks ago. Working on my PhD, I use a binocular microscope (Leica MZ 6, for anyone interested), and one day I decided to try and make a LEGO version of it. (click to see the gallery) And here is its actual form, in use for high resolution, very very important paleontological studies Comments and critics are welcome

Hi KinzCove Pro. and welcome to Eurobricks! I cleaned your post from the double requests. And I'd like you to use a less quick style in your requests: expressions like 'I need this and that' and 'That's all' (in the part of the post I cleaned) are not very nice. I can udestand you posted these in a hurry for any reason, but a 'I would like' or 'I'd like to have' sound more nice to me Thank you for your understanding, and good luck with those requests

Very nice work, Peppermint_M! I'm not really expert with skirts, but I think a bit more of detailing, like a belt or a couple or pleats, at least on some of them, could look good too

Hi legoman960, you have come to the right place to start a new career as a LEGO custom designer You'll find a lot of useful tools and tutorials in the Minifig Customisation Workshop Index. There you can try the Templates Index (where you'll find the reference/base images for minifigures' body parts like torso and legs and accessories like armor and shields), the How to make torsos in MS Paint Tutorial (quite self explaining, isn't it? ) and the Tutorial for Inkscape (a free vectorial program to desing your decals). Oh, and there is even a How to print decals in MS Word Tutorial! Good luck with your project ad don't forget to show us your designs
-
Thanks for providing these new and interesting designs/templates, clone killer Just, could you please deeplink only images of 800 pixels or less. I know it can be useful to show the pics instead of using text links, but you could post thumbnails linked to the original sized images! Thank you

Hi MustangMatt68 and welcome to Eurobricks! You cannot use the PM system unill you reach a post count of 10 (don't read this as an invitation to spam the board to reach that level, though ). You can find a tutorial on how to print decals in MS Word here. I also tried it for clone killer's decals in this topic, and you should resize the images to 40% before printing them (the width of a torso should be 1.55 cm or 0.61 inches). Hope this helps you

Naruto Manga/Anime Decals project
LuxorV replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'm happy to see these gather some interest. You're almost right; they are (from top left to bottom right): Hermit mode Naruto, angry Sakura, Kakashi with sharingan eye covered (you can glimpse the forehead protector tilted on the right to cover it), and happy Chouji (from the dinner scene for Shikamaru's promotion). I'm working on the teams and other characters. The full versions (and even flesh ones) will be 'released' in blocks once each team/group is completed! LuxorV -
Thanks for the feedback I'm toying with the idea of making custom decals for the half-skeleton torsos, but I don't know when that will be. Anyway, updates may follow. LuxorV

We already have: it's this one. I'll pin it to make it more visible, even if it never got much attention in the past LuxorV

Hi xilefsson, I split your post into this new topic. Please don't post questions into the Minifig Customisation Index and Guidelines topic, even if it is not closed: we prefer to keep it clean. Thank you LuxorV
