  1. I finally got Noctura’s Tower built up. While it’s definitely not as impressive as Ragana’s Castle or even Cronan’s Fortress, it’s still pretty cool. The large bat on the top can fold down upon the top half, hiding away that balcony section. The mechanism is solid too. There’s a neat potion mixing/making device in the ground floor section. The chaise is removable and Noctura looks good resting on it. The large mushrooms are built up using more pieces than I thought they would and look great. I also received Naida & The Water Turtle Ambush. The built up Turtle is well articulated and looks great from most angles. The head/neck portion lends itself to lots of expressive poses and is full of personality. The terrain build is the usual great quality we see in this theme and the little attack craft for the included bat is a fun addition. I loved last year’s theme with the goblins and this one is on track to equal or even surpass that in my opinion. I haven’t taken any pics because it didn’t seem to go over too well with my review of Emily Jones & The Eagle Getaway, thanks to Photobucket’s restrictions. I also don’t have a photo tent or a decent set up, so that kind of hinders the quality of the pics.
  2. Sorry all, I don’t have another way to share the pics. The folder is public; clicking on the placeholder pics takes you to them. All of the pics were here yesterday but PhotoBucket has weird restrictions on 3rd party sharing.
  3. Could I trouble you for a link to that light tent? That sounds like a good idea.
  4. Glad you liked it! It really is a fun little set and I agree, feels worth the price. Thanks for the tip. I’ve never posted a Lego review before so I’ll have to look into getting a better set up before I do Noctura’s Tower (just built the Earth Fox, so cool).
  5. So I deleted the PhotoBucket stuff and uploaded the images to Imgur. https://imgur.com/gallery/DYDM5
  6. I ordered a few 2018 Lego Eleves sets from the US Toys-R-Us site earlier this week and received this one today. This is a fun little set and I think worth the $15 USD. One mini-doll (the titular Emily Jones herself) and one of the new creature molds, Vespe the bat. Also includes one of the new(er?) spider molds. Didn’t take long to build, at 149 pieces, but packs a lot of play value into a small package. A surprise to me was the lack of a sticker sheet; NO STICKERS here, everything is a printed piece. Emily Jones is what we’ve come to expect and she includes the separate amulet piece introduced last year (a spare is also included, but not featured with my pics). Different prints for her outfit but the face and hair are the same as last year. Vespe the bat is pretty cute and a neat mold. Smaller than the goblins but still packed with personality. I’m looking forward to having a small army of these. The cave build is sufficient. Lots of the colorful and whimsical touches we’ve come to expect from the Elves world but different enough from previous locales to set it apart. As seen in pics, the top portion of the cave separates into a little flyer that shoots disks from the front. It’s neat! One thing I didn’t notice at first was the inclusion of a bed for Vespe on the wall; very cool! The packaging does a nice job of showing off the rest of the features so I won’t drag this out any longer. Probably the most anticipated part of this set is the buildable Lumia The Eagle. It’s definitely a very simple, but creative build. Not quite as articulated as I’d prefer, using clips instead of ball joints, but serviceable. The colors look great and the printed eye pieces are very welcome, as they line up perfect and you don’t need to worry about a cockeyed bird due to misplaced stickers. I really love the Elves theme and I’m really excited to see where it goes. I’ve included pics from the end of the manual and I think the Elvendale map gives us a couple of clues to a possible summer wave.
  7. Emily Jones & The Eagle Getaway arrived today and I was able to get that built pretty quickly (still haven’t had enough time to get to Noctura’s set though). This is a fun little set and will be the perfect intro to someone just getting into the theme. I’ll create a separate review thread and include some pics. Here’s a pic from the back of the manual though; a lot of hints at a summer wave!! http://
  8. Received Noctura’s Tower & the Earth Fox Rescue today. Will try to post a few initial pics later; hope to start assembling it. There are 3! instruction books, which is nuts, and a small sticker sheet.
  9. I missed year one but have all of year 2 minus the Dragon Sanctuary (which doesn’t look like I’ll ever be getting due to the crazy prices) and the two builds for Ragana’s side are incredible, as is the Secret Marketplace. Here's to more of year 4!!
  10. That’s how I feel about this wave as well. I have the Goblin King waves spread out together and as a whole, they look spectacular on display with a great mix of structures, landscape, animals, vehicles, etc. It really looks like a living world. I hope we get a summer wave to expand on this story a bit more.
  11. I don’t have it yet but I will definitely get pics of it up once I do! I just went back to TRU and ordered the 2 smallest sets: Emily Jones & The Eagle Getaway and Naida & The Water Turtle Ambush. Yay!!!
  12. Ooh, I don’t know if I can do a review! That’s a lot of pressure; I’ve never done a review for a Lego set before. I can provide some pics and requested info though. The US TRU site now has all of the new Elves sets to order!
  13. I just ordered 41194 Noctura’s Tower & the Earth Fox Rescue set off of the US Toys-R-Us site. Super excited to get this one!!
  14. Finally!! Thanks for the link! Love these sets!
  15. Jang’s review of Lance’s Hover Jouster is up now. Pretty cool I suppose. I will pick it up.
  16. Jang has his review of the Berzerker Bomber up now! Such an amazing set. Really stoked to get this one.
  17. Jang has his review of the X-Bow up now as well. Another great look at it, but I disagree with some of his opinions on the look and color. To each their own on that! Really happy to get a good review of it. I like it even more now!
  18. Someone (sorry I forget whom) posted a link to box pics on Flickr a page or two back. High quality too.
  19. Yup absolutely. And agreed, Robin’s head looks to be new (and awesome). This will complement the Berzerker Bomber quite nicely.
  20. A good look at Aaron’s X-Bow vehicle/set. I was on the fence about this initially but now having gotten a good look at it, I think it might actually be one awesome set. Maybe even my favorite one for Aaron.
  21. Jang has his review of the Twinfector up! So cool.
