The tower is so much better! The roundedness of it increases the realism, as well as the use of grey.

Here's link to a picture of one of the troopers: http://www.flickr.com/photos/44452917@N00/526373249/ However, the historical HEIC uniforms were simple red ones. Here's a movie HEIC torso made by Mosana from the library.

It appears Father Christmas has been making some rather unorthodox deliveries ;-) Great job, your vigs are always so inventive with interesting details! *y* My favorite part of the nightmare is the crooked window.
-
Awesome *y* ! I love steampunk creations. I liked the big tank, it made it look more primitive :-)

I have this game, it's quite fun. Plays fast and loose with history though, but who cares too much :-P ?

This will be very impressive when finished! *y*

Port la Brique - check out the architecture on this one!

Yay, I love Victorian/Regency era looking architecture! I think what you have made is so far is absolutely great! *y* -

POLL: Pirate Halloween Contest Voting Begins HERE!!!
ZeekyBoogeyDoog replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
Thanks to everyone who voted for me! :-$ EDIT: I forgot to mention, in response to Sinner's query on the first page, I haven't really finished it since I haven't made sails yet. I intend to rig it as a schooner. I voted for 007's sleepy Hollow for Scariest, Cap'n sly Owl's for Best Built, and Phred's for Best Overall. I wanted to have my votes spread out :-) -
Fantastic X-O! The natural feel the hillside has is awesome! I love that forge and the way the builder integrated elements from the set into it. I love that tower and the structures cut into the rock.

This was a great contest idea, Imperial Scouts! Everyone's entries are great! The hammock in Sir Nadroj's entry is really nifty X-O . Phred's galleon, and in particular the stern is awesome *wub* . Dragonator's entry was pretty funny ;-) and pig's was quite creative. The dock in Yoda's entry is cool and the dark colored water is really neat *y* ! My favorite part of Cap'n SlyOwl's entry is the hut X-O and the islander buried in the sand :-D

Entry Thread: EB Pirate Halloween Contest!
ZeekyBoogeyDoog replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
These unlucky whalers are wishing they had never agreed to transport a witch. St. Elmo's fire flames from the tops of the masts and with a loud crash the ship is impaled on the tentacle of a horrible kraken. The whole impale on a tentacle thing is a rather old idea, but I have made it better-how, you ask? Double the impalement X-D ! The whaler is complete with a stereotypical New England sea captain, with peg leg and top hat. "I stab at thee, I stab at thee!" I was originally going to do the Salem Witch Trials, but I only made one house before I got lazy and decided to enter this whaler, which I was working on simultaneously; hence the comely witch aboard. STOP THIS ENDLESS WAR: The Vignette
ZeekyBoogeyDoog replied to SirNadroj's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sir Nadroj, you are quite the innovator! I can honestly say I have never seen Lego used for social activism before. I really like this *y*, the plane is really cleverly built, and I think it conveys its message effectively. -
Lol, this is highly amusing :-D ! Great job! I would love to see this with sound effects. Well, that's because the walrus is indeed cuter than you :-P

Barn House of Barnabas Higgens
ZeekyBoogeyDoog replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Very awesome barn! The only nitpick I have with it is the orange; perhaps black? Maybe you could add a threshing mechanism to the barn interior, it would make for some interesting deaths *skull* -
Killing the Dead Contest Discussion
ZeekyBoogeyDoog replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I really like Doctor Sinister's entry, the MOC is so well designed and the first picture of the skellie infestation I found really funny :-D ! Btw, I love that woodchipper. -
That's a big army X-O ! I love the use of forestmen as riflemen, that's really an innovative idea *y* The only nitpick I have is perhaps to give them rag-hats; they look sort of similar to hats I've seen worn by Jaegers. The forestman cap looks sort of castle-y.
-
Great job X-O ! The lighthouse and the crenelated tower on the dock are fantastic! The Eldorado fortress and the Sabre island are integrated very well into this MOC.
-
I'm from PA too! It's absolutely ridiculous, 70-80 degrees in October :-/ . I myself don't celebrate Halloween, it's fine for small children but I think its mainly an excuse to sell gaudy merchandise.
