  1. You could probably avoid cutting the lightsaber bits by using some of the lipstick holders.
  2. Interesting! I just finished my build of the initial model with a more Rebellion-esque color scheme. I'll have to post some pictures once I have a moment.
  3. I just ordered parts for a "repaint" version of this, in white, blue, and yellow (easier to get parts in that color). Should be a fun build! EDIT: For anyone who is curious, however, there are a good number of of new/hard to get parts. Double jumpers, studs with handles, inverted curved slopes . . .
  4. Did I miss an LDD or similar file for the Venator?
  5. Do you have the LDD/Stud.io file? Would love to build this, looks amazing.
  6. This is one where you really don't get an idea of the scale until you realize that each engine is the size of a beer bottle.
  7. For anyone curious, if this is anything like his U-Wing, Mirko's models, instruction booklets, and custom stickers are a genuine work of art.
  8. I have the bricks for this one on the way, with accents in blue instead of red; the Star Wing was a really fun build, so I can't wait to put this one together.
  9. I always thought that part would make for a good X-wing nose. The rest of the model looks amazing too!
  10. It's almost like they stuck S-foils on a Z-95.
  11. The nose on your U-wing particularly is much improved. How is it put together?
  12. Just the right amount of greebling and interesting shapes. Awesome!
  13. I built one of these, and it's fantastic.
  14. Awesome, can't wait to build these. Any plans to do a Bomber and/or a Vader TIE Advanced?
  15. Interested to see how stable/durable it is in real bricks!
  16. The only things really fragile on mine are the back of the cockpit (four studs; maybe we can sneak an axle in there to reinforce it somehow?) and the weapons pod on the end of the big wing (only held on by eight studs). I know it's one of the less-desirable UCS sets, but it's undoubtedly one of my favorites in terms of accuracy and overall look (aside from the front half of the cockpit and the undersides of the wings; I may someday play with a brick-built version that looks sleeker).
  17. Got it. I'm still pretty new to this, so I appreciate the follow-up.
  18. Hmm. I'm getting an error uploading to Bricklink that a part (No. 24246) is not within their catalog.
  19. Having built mine (and really love it) and after watching the movie again, I wonder if the UCS Snowspeeder windshield might make a better fit for the underside, somehow?
  20. Very accurate!
  21. I love that little U-Wing.
  22. Looking at this model, you can see the inspiration: a mashup of the YT-1300 and the CR90 with a Star Destroyer. Awesome!
  23. I really like this! Looks like a modern, high-tech update to the YT-1300. Would love to see a version in real bricks.
