  1. It's great! I think it's perfectly suited for Cuusoo, too, for all other than that it's pretty much what they're doing with the Architecture line. =)
  2. Thank you. =)
  3. Oh, sorry. I keep getting that thing about Ireland/Northern Ireland wrong. >_< It's true that they've been having a focus on American landmarks, too - I'd just have expected that more, while all the British stuff is a pleasant surprise. But I'm very happy to see Lego prioritising both sides of the pond. =)
  4. Oh, I see what they did there! They made a brilliant, timeless D2C model and added it to a current theme, presumably adding to the sales figures of both the theme and the set. And it is truly brilliant. I really really really hope I can get this as soon as possible. =D Edit: Observation. This is 40% cheaper in the UK than in Denmark. I'm happy that they're starting to put the Danish prices in these press releases, but at the same time, it's a bit of an eye-opener.
  5. I'm expecting to be in the very lucky situation where I'll have the opportunity to buy several Lego sets at a 40% off discount. Included in the offer is (I presume), amongst others: Queen Anne's Revenge, Ulra Sonic Raider, The Knight Bus, The Crazy Scientist & His Monster, and The Mines Of Moria. I'd like all of these sets, but they all seem unreasonably expensive. Technically I can afford them all, but I'd rather leave some of them out in order not to be completely broke afterwards. I have a longer list of sets I'll be getting, but these are the one I'm in doubt about. Which would you get? EDIT: I also have the opportunity to get the Portal Of Atlantis for 430 DKK (half off), and the Toy Story Western Train Chase for 375 DKK (the same deal). Would you act on that? As further information, I still don't own any of the sets mentioned here.
  6. A brilliant review, all in all. It definitely shows how much effort you must be putting into this. =) Oh, and I want one, of course! =D
  7. Thank you! =) Certainly not, I'm very flattered to be of inspiration. =)
  8. Oh, thank you. =)
  9. I've had a different 'problem'. As it is, I've currently got 289 VIP points, which translates to 100 DKK. Now, one day I casually changed my country settings to see what special offers were available in England (because if I desperately have to, I figured I could always get somebody over there to receive them and then send them to me). The offers turned out to be the same, but another curious thing happened: VIP points: 289, Reward £100.00. One GBP is something like 7,5 DKK, so my 100 DKK became 750 DKK just like that. =J It quickly registered the mistake, though, and changed it to £10, just as I was browsing the 'exclusives' category. =P
  10. You know what I would love to see? A concert hall or a theatre (like, acting theatre. Not a movie theatre). =)
  11. I believe we're many FOLs who considers MOCing, when done properly, kind of an art. And many of us might even take that as far (I know I would) as considering some of the official set designers artists. Now, I know that that brilliant man named Jamie Berard has done most of the Modulars, the Winter Village Bakery and Post Office, the Fangpyre Mech and a number of Creator sets; but I'm curious about what else he and the other designers might have done. So can anyone here perhaps redirect me to an index of which designers created what sets? It would be much appreciated. =)
  12. Oh, might we be seeing a good Garmadon minifig? (no, we probably won't, I know - it's too obscure a character. Yet, with all the different figures we've already seen...?)
  13. So, somebody please tell me - am I getting one or two of this set? =)
  14. As much as I would love an annual, large D2C horror-themed set, I don't think that's likely. The Winter Village sets are already, from what I can make of it, a kind of cheaper alternative to the Modulars, built in the same spirit and with the same release rate, but a little bit smaller so it'll be bought by the A- and TFOLs who can't justify the cost of the same year's Modular. Now, if they started doing a Halloween series at this size (which looks at least like the price tag of an ordinary series flagship set - say, the cost of the Black Pearl (whatever that is, translated to pounds/euro/dollars)), it would steal the potential buyers of both the Winter Village sets and the Modulars. So I personally think it'd be a bad move for TLC to make another series of D2C buildings released at an annual rate. Besides, I wouldn't be able to afford that. So no, it's not an option. =P
  15. I think there's no doubt left that this is a brilliant set. I do believe it'll be the only flagship set I'm getting this year. =)
  16. Wow, so many responses! Thanks, everyone. =)
  17. Thanks, all three of you! It's nice to get such positive reception. =) No, they're really just ornamental pieces because I was too lazy at the time to find enough 1x1 plates. I'll admit that don't really like them myself, either.
  18. I'm not too much of a sports fan, and never cared much for the sport-themed CMFs (except for the completion of a series or the like). However, I'm a huge anglophile, so I would love to have a handful of these figs. I guess I'll have to pretend they don't exist, though, since they look like something that'll get expensive outside the UK. =\ All things considered, aren't TLC also showing a little Anglophilism lately? The CMFs have had a Grenadier Guard, a Sherlock, a Leprechaun, a Highlander and a Bagpiper. And then there's the exclusives - Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Sopwith Camel and now this. I'm personally overwhelmed (in a very positive way), but I do find it strange that they'd release such location-specific sets.
  19. And Sandy, don't forget her. She doesn't look particularly scared, either. ;) Anyway, thanks! =)
  20. Thanks, Flobnomdob and Soccerkid! I'm glad to have such a positive reaction to my vignettes. ^_^
  21. Okay, thanks. I'll be getting Shelob Attacks anyway, but Sam's hair isn't the shade I want, so I'll probably put this on the list as well. Oh, thanks! I knew there had to be some kind of registry somewhere. =D
  22. I regret not getting the original Harry Potter and Batman themes, along with the Knight's Kingdom 1 I didn't get. But that was inevitable; when those themes were available, I was far too young to have any kind of overview (or even consider that some of the sets might not be there for the rest of eternity).
  23. Is this set worth getting just for the figures? I don't want to resell the rest of the set, but I won't be building it either; I'll just keep the pieces. The thing is, I really want Legolas' hair, that hobbit's torso (the blue one with the scarf) and Gimli's helmet, and the orcs look nice, too. Still, there's a lot of sets on my list, and I'm in doubt as to whether this is worth getting.
  24. I've had several Dark Ages. None of which, I'd like to add, lasted more than seven minutes. =P
  25. Here you go. =) Photographing The Big Jellyfish by Multi Versal, on Flickr
