Hello everyone. I'm planning a fire HQ and I have a lot more fire vehicles than will fit in the garages. Does anyone have any ideas of a compund/parking lot I can put on the side?

This is amazing work. I started on these DMUs when I was first on BR. You've captured it really well. They were so old & worn-out we had to use the foil from a cigarette packet or a Kit-Kat wrapper to replace the missing fuses in the guard's van to give the driver the ready-to-start signal. They could still do a good job though.

You've captured the simplicity of these units well. I still hate Pacers though, I used to be a guard on them for British Rail. The ride was so bad that drivers & guards used to have to take time off work due to bad backs (me included). British Rail said they were a stop-gap measure meant to last a maximum of 10 years until better stock could be introduced. That was in 1987 and they're still running. Absolute garbage, I was on one last week which broke down and totally blocked the line at Rotherham during rush hour.

MOC/MOD Blue Bonnet SantaFe with B unit

I'd be interested in stickers for this. A blue Warbonnet would look great pulling freight cars. -
I like your new small station. It reminds me of the front of Breda station.

Outstanding, it's great that it's modular.

I have recently ordered and received street signs from altBricks and I have to say that the quality is superb. I'm sure the track will be of the same high standard.

Nuke them all from space. It's the only way to be sure.

I think all the other brands are dreadful and will never be as good as Lego. Megabloks bring me out in a rash.

[LDD MOC] 71,000 piece, 13-foot Super Star Destroyer
galacticslave replied to Fox Hound's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd consider buying the instructions if a build was possible. It would be a very long-term project though, months and years rather than weeks. -
A stand alone locomotive like 7760 or 7755 would be nice. TLG could also release a series of wagons or freight vehicles similar to 10017 and others. They could fill a gap in the train market while they develop new train sets.

This is a great model. I think it would look good pulling the Santa Fe coaches. I bet the loco looks even better in Indian Pacific livery.

I like the look of the engine. Are there any more pictures of it? -
Jake McKee's Getting Started With Lego Trains
galacticslave replied to galacticslave's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The main reason I want the plans is so I can buy your Union Pacific stickers and use them on the GP-38 in the book. I know that they will work on a yellow, grey and red 10133 but I like the version in the book. I've tried my local library but they can't get it. It's a shame that Bricksonthebrain isn't around anymore. -
Does anyone have any links to the building instructions in this book? The price is too high for the book now and I would like the instructions.

What a great colour scheme and you've captured it particularly well in Lego.

[MOC] Spanish High Speed Train "AVE 112 class DUCK"
galacticslave replied to Aitoruco's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Very nice. -
This looks great especially the front and catenary. All you need to do is fill it with 3000 minifigs and it will be a perfect replica of a rush-hour train to London.

I haven't got a garden at the moment but I've thought about a Lego garden railway for some time. My plans would be to lay a flat p-way bed and leave it empty. I would only lay the tracks when I wanted to run trains (isn't part of the fun of Lego actually building?). I'd take the tracks indoors when trains weren't running therefore minimising wear & tear from the elements. I'd also leave spaces for modular buildings here & there and they could be brought out as & when needed. Power functions on the trains would get rid of the problem of electricity supply outdoors and also metal corrosion on the track if it rained.

I'd love some UP stickers, please let me know when they're ready.

Do the Microscale O guage "Building America" decals fit on this loco?

You can use it for street running or maybe a dockside scene. You can put smooth plates over it (like on a level crossing). I think it also looks good on a bridge with plates in the middle.

Would it be possible to use these rods to fit a 7760 engine and what wheels would you use? It doesn't have to be powered.

Hrw-Amen, is it the Weymouth Tramway that you live near?
