I don't usually post to this forum, but I just found Set #365, Wild West Scene from 1975 MISB on Ebay. The set is a Buy-It-Now for $595 USD. I can't believe someone had saved it all these years. Take a look: Here's the link to the Ebay listing: Ebay Lego 365

Now that was annoying! EDIT: I was starting to enjoy the glamour. X-D

Thanks. I'll try that and see if it works. I don't usually click the "Today's Active Topics" to get in.

First, let me say that I really enjoyed the artwork and the questions asked by IS. Great interview! Also, thanks for listening ;-) . And a big thank you for that feedback Batbrick. I'm glad you enjoy it. My web site is organized a little better and provides the stories and inspirations regarding Grave Stone. But, enough about me. My comments: Great choice of three favorite sets. I love the Dwarf Mine as well, although I only had built it once, leaving it up for just a short time. It did inpire my Grave Stone Mine, with the pieces needed to build the mining cars and tracks. I also own the Dragon Fortress, but have not opened it yet. I'm not sure why I'm saving it, I just really like the set. The Batmobile is awesome as well! In regard to Batman, as you have eluded to BB, I too have always loved the mystery surrounding Batman as well. Although I think that the movies have not done a good job at portraiting the more mysterious side of Batman, he is a great character. I thought it was awesome that Lego pursued the theme, esp. after a not to popular Spiderman theme. Reading your themes that you'd like to see Lego offer one day, I don't think I read Wild West or Ghost Town, although I thought you were a fan. Did I miss this, or are you not a WW fan? I won't hold it against you if not, just curious. Also BB, I'm interested in knowing some of your inspirations and why you and others that build MOCs, enjoy the Post-Apocalyptic theme? The theme seems so popular by many Lego fans now. Is this becoming a strong cultural interest these days? I had a few more comments, but can't think of them at the moment. Perhaps I'll remember them later. In any case, great interview and I enjoyed reading more about Batbrick! To the batcave - oh, other than the Batmobile, what is your favorite Batman set? Now, on to the Batcave...

I love the new banner. It's very bright and vivid, and has a professional look to it. Overall, the new look is nice. Great job! Although mentioned above, speed does seem significantly slower. In addition, I keep having to sign in. I'm going to look for the option to remember me by. Overall, nice job! *y*

What an excellent little set. It reminds me of 6665 River Runners. I hope this becomes more than a promo set. I love the raft *wub* .

I really like the tan vintage car. This would have made a great addition to the Adventurers theme. Nice one! *y*

I was browsing through Brickset today looking for some additional jungle or river-related sets for my Jungle Adventure, and I stumbled upon a Shell Promotional set. The set is numbered 2537, and is #3 of 10 promotional Shell sets. Remembering a neat little find in my local 99 Cent store several years ago, I managed to pick this set up with six others (#s 3-8). I had never opened the box and only until now did I realize I had this little Adventure/Extreme Team set. Here's a few pictures of the box: I was wondering how rare these sets were? I didn't find them in a gas station, but rather a 99 Cent Store.

You all did it again. I think this strategy might work. Once we kill all the townies, no one will be left but the outlaws (and me).

Oh, I'm just teasing KD. BrickMiner and I have had this friendly competion going on for some time now, as we both enjoy the Ghost Town sub-theme. No problem at all. ;-) As some would say on this board, Partner On!

Hey, what's that suppose to mean? I just don't have the fancy box art.

Yes it was. He approached me to make Part II, which would find Flatfoot Thomas and the gang in Grave Stone. Wouldn't that have been awesome. He's got something else going on now; however, and will not be pursuing. I was looking forward to writing the script. He's very talented in the movie making arena. Here was the announcement he made last year: Flatfoot Tompsen and his bandits escape from the law and ride off into the setting sun, but what they find in the next town is something they never expected! How will they make it out of this one? Ghost Town is the sequel to the brick film America: Outlawed and picks up where the last film left off. Get yer self ready again for some Rip Roarin Western Action! Yeee Haw! Status: Announced Release: Halloween 2008

KD: if you mention Brick Miner's Ghost Town one more time without drawing any attention to Grave Stone, I'm not going to be your partner any more. :-( . EDIT: PS. And that goes for Piranha to. ;-)

You mean you don't like mixing them? Others have said just the opposite. I usually try not to mix. I didn't do it in my Jungle Adventure for that reason, but I don't think it looks too bad. The outside could have been more detailed, but I ran out of white pieces. I also wanted to expand the 2nd floor, but had to stop.

What kind of a critique is that Phes? I'll draw your attention to and older MOC/display featuring a member of the Armada: I think the caption read, "Passing by Port Legend. There's the Blacksmith's Shop and the Guarded Inn along the docks. Hey look, there's Phes waiting for his ride. "Don't let him on", the sailors yell!" :-D In the case of this MOC; however, they were the first to die in quicksand. *skull*

Imaginary Jungle Adventure List
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
:-D Good one! -
Thanks. I really like the green-shirted Johnny Thunder. He comes from the small Orient Expedition Jungle River set. I thought he came out pretty well with the new hat and satchel too. Thanks J-Kerm. See this thread if you're interested: Imaginary Jungle Adventure List

Jungle Adventure WIP
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yes, I agree in re. to the underbrush. I have pieces on order from Pick-A-Brick. In regard to the trees; however, I will be keeping them. They may not be the most jungle-looking trees, but they are green and seem to fit in with the overall scheme of things. I would love to add some of the vine pieces and other moss pieces, but i don't have any to add. I like the plane, although I've never seen Lost. Thanks. Batbrick had recommended adding it and I think it came out pretty well. Here's an updated image: I saw that. It served as a good inspiration image. As I get more foliage, I'd like to fill up my jungle in the same manner. But keep in mind, it's a lot easier to fill up a small scene with foliage than it is an entire tabletop jungle. ;-) Just compare a more recent picture to when I first started: See the new image above, although I like your idea to wreck it a little more. This is an official set, so I don't plan to change the wings. Thanks Gahu. Appreciate your positive feedback. I've been looking at the Amazon set, but also like the Pirate Islander Enchanted Island a lot. I plan to buy at least one old classic to add to the scene, just not sure which. More to come... -
Thanks fellas. Playmobil had some really terrific jungle sets that I picked up a number of years ago. This, among others, would have made a great theme. While the Egyptian/Desert adventure sets were terrific, Lego's jungle sets weren't as good (with the exception of maybe River Expedition among my top few favorite sets). Lego could have really expanded the jungle adventure theme with more sets like this. More jungle traps, bridges, and jungle ruins to name just a few set ideas that would make great adventure sets; not to forget perhaps even adding some wild animals like tigers, panthers, and gorillas. I appreciate the feedback although the pictures really came out bad. Photographing at night with dim light just doesn't look good. In any case, thanks for the feedback.

What an impressive build. I love the building to the right, and the blue and red buildings that resemble the Blacksmith Shop. It's an excellent medieval street. The bridge is also well done. Overall, the entire scene is excellent. *y*

Drunk and tired of being treated like a barmaid, Molly walks ouside the saloon. She sees an approaching stagecoach in the street hurring to make the next train out of Gold City. She throws herself in front of the stagecoach only to stop and stare at it like a deer in the headlights 8-
