  1. *wub* Awesome...tiled pavements, SNOT-type roads roads, beautifully detailed buildings, split level design. Sigh... I'll get my coat. Dr. S.
  2. I voted for the old design - this thread says it all, but better articulation and "proper" arms swing it for me. Dr. S.
  3. You've got me there...no room for one! The planes are in a permanent holding pattern! Tabletown is mostly official sets, with a sprinkling of MOCs - the houses and high-rises are all MOCs. I'm glad you spotted the satellite - I enjoyed adding that little touch, although the MF is very lonely up there. :'-(
  4. Here's a picture I took in 2004 of the one and only fully-operational Tiger I tank at the Bovington Tank Museum. Dr. S. Oh! Sorry - forgot this one...one of my favourites, I like to take pictures of the Moon... Dr. S.
  5. Point taken - except it IS coming in to land. :-) Oh, and the front landing gear is also vital for some of the threading - to stop the fuselage from slipping. Here you go: I've seen one of those - it looks awesome, but I don't think it would work in my town either. Dr. S.
  6. Trust me - I would never utter...that word...here. My two-year old son was given some of that...stuff...by a misguided relative last Christmas and I won't have it near me, it brings me out in a rash. :-X Talking of the Aliens machine gun - they do a Colonial Marine MF too - the gun is sweet, but my favourite is probably the MP5 or the .44 Magnum. Dr. S.
  7. I'd thought about adding some flames to one of the engines and having an emergency crew on standby on the ground waiting for it to land. :-) Dr. S.
  8. That looks like a great set - I already have a petrol station in Tabletown, but I'd love to get it just for those vehicles. Dr. S.
  9. Thanks for the heads-up. According to my Sky+ box there is a whole afternoon of those shows - any idea which one it might be? Dr. S.
  10. Cool, I just wasn't sure if we only had to discuss "pure" LEGO. :-D BrickArms also make custom Minifigs - I ordered one of their WWII German soldiers, he's really nice, I think I might get some more when I order up some new guns. Dr. S.
  11. I finally got around to hanging up one of my most recent acquisitions - set 7893, the Passenger Plane. I absolutely love this set - it looks really good, it's HUGE and it's functional. I approached the hanging ceremony with a little trepidation as I'm trying out this new "invisible" thread and I wasn't sure how strong it would be - so it's hung in three places as it comes in to land at Tabletown, anc in two of those places the thread is strung three times. The airspace over Tabletown is rather crowded now with 6 helicopters, three planes and a Zeppelin flying overhead! Dr. S.
  12. Are we allowed to discuss Brickarms here? Or is that like...swearing? I decided I wanted to give all the Western rifles and pistols back to my Western sets, so I had to strip my Police force and issue them with sub-machine guns instead. The quality is amazing - hard to believe it's not real LEGO. Dr. S.
  13. "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd would be a good one to recreate - might give that a go later... Dr. S.
  14. Another very nice TARDIS - you even got the information panel on the front door! I prefer the use of those dustbin lids on the Daleks in this thread - but alas that piece wasn't available on LEGO Factory. :-( Dr. S.
  15. Very nice fort - makes me want to break out my Western collection! I can just imagine a battle scene with the enemy trying to climb up the sides - do you have any Red Indians (can I say that, or should I say Native Americans these days?) who could mount an assault? Dr. S.
  16. Hmmm, try it again - it's definitely working, the site isn't down or anything (I'd have my minions killed if it were :-) ). Many thanks - I'm sure they'd have a great time! Dr. S.
  17. You swine! You have the timer! My wife drew the line at that one. But I will have my revenge... Dr. S.
  18. Indeed! And on this basis I'm a proud owner of the corkscrew and bottle opener, money box, eggcups and the salt and pepper shakers! Now all I need is some people to come around... :-( Dr. S
  19. Thanks to everyone for the feedback - my MOC skills are limited and I was quite nervous about showing Tabletown to the world as it's predominantly just plain LEGO kits, but you've all made me feel very welcome. Dr. S.
  20. Many thanks. WOW! :'-) *wub* I'm in awe... Dr. S.
  21. You took the words out of my mouth! I'm sipping my glass of Coke with LEGO ice cubes right now as it happens. Dr. S.
  22. Oh my! Those large scale Daleks are awesome - and so accurate! *wub* Thanks for the link. Yes, I thought I had seen that TARDIS before - I don't suppose the plans are available are they? Dr. S.
  23. Great! You have competitions here! (Can we have "Kill the Ewoks" next time? Or have you done that already...?) This one is entitled "Race against time" - as in, who will get to him first? EDIT - Oops, didn't realise until just now it had to be on an 8x8 plate - my bad, this one is ineligible. *wacko* Dr. S.
  24. I like the TARDIS! I might have seen that one somewhere else - was it displayed on Brickshelf in a town setting? I tried to make a similar one in LDRAW but couldn't get it to work. Here's my rather feeble effort. Dr. S.
  25. Here's a picture of the newest style of Dalek, as seen in the latest series of Doctor Who. Dr. S.
