  1. You don't need the 2 servo motors! you can run the 4 motors over one receiver! 2 motors on each of the outputs! Left side, right side with one controller, so it drives and steers! The other receiver's are for the other functions!
  2. Thanks Not really to be honest! All the pictures I took can be found here, https://www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?media/albums/sandcrawler-wip.6792/ but I do not think that helps! But, there are 3 rechargeable batteries, 6 XL motors, 2 M motors and 3 IR receivers installed! Battery 1 --- all LEDs are directly connected to this battery Battery 2 --- is connected to receiver 1 --- Receiver 1 controls 4 XL motors ( tracks right side, left side / 2 motors on one output)! Battery 3 --- is connected to receiver 2 and receiver 3 --- Receiver 2 controls 2 XL motors for the main hatch (both on the same output) --- Receiver 3 controls 2 M motors (winch on output 1 / conveyor belt on output 2)! Hope that helps a little bit! P.s. The 3 IR receivers are exchanged for 2 SBrick (BT) receivers!
  3. Another small update
  4. The printed parts are not in the manual, but in the LDD files! It therefore makes sense to compare these with the instructions! Then Export BOM and you have the parts!
  5. Thank you Christian, it really does, and it was a pleasure to build it! So thanks to you and cavegod for the opportunity to build this beauty! The Sandcrawler is definitely a highlight in my collection! The half pin is correct, just cut off the small "lip"! It's for the main hatch!
  6. Almost done now! I think I will make some small changes to the cockpit top panel, but I have to order some parts for that! _MG_5854 by steffen black, auf Flickr
  7. You have to support this ball joints with some extra plates! I first attached the ball joints to the cockpit, separated the cockpit into two parts, and then reassembled it on the model! I have the upper side walls attached last, so you can see the ball joints! In addition, you have at least some space for your hands! Sorry for the bad English ball joints seperate in two pieces And some more pics
  8. Hey guys, after a little timeout last month, I resumed working on the Sandcrawler over the weekend! I have made further small changes to the interior and the cockpit! I will post more pictures in the next few days!
  9. Sorry, no part list! It's not designed in LDD, just trial & error! But I can try to summarize the most important! https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=x169#T=S&C=88&O={"color":"88","iconly":0}
  10. I would say everything ok, my version looks exactly the same!
  11. I think you need 170 elements/parts for the conveyor belt! 30 for each of the 2 shorter ones and 55 for each of the the longer ones!
  12. Use three 1x1 plates in dark brown instead!
  13. Thanks everybody! At the moment I'm doing the last little adjustments! I added the missing light in the front area at the winch and started with the final assembling! The plates in the front, upper area are currently not attached, because of further small modifications! https://www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?media/albums/sandcrawler-wip.6792/
  14. Interior almost done! Yesterday I started to add the ceiling. I also added some light and a winch for the crane! At the moment I'm waiting for another order from Lego...more Led's! Sorry for the picture quality but it's not so easy with the light conditions! I will try to make some better pictures!
  15. That would be very nice!
  16. The video you posted on page 1! Looks like it lines up perfect here! But there is also another top-panel for the cockpit in the video!
  17. Ok, I didn't notice that! Not really to be honest, everything is running pretty well so far! And with a modell of this size there are always small "problems"! The only thing I was thinking about are the sidewalls of the cockpit! I attached them for testing, and they have a small offset of a half stud too the lower side wall. It look's like on your flickr, and it's totally ok for me.....but in the video it looks like this little offset is gone! Did you change something?
  18. Thanks mate! Yes, I do ... works great! There is something that I noticed! I had to remove this 4x4 plate and this 1x6 plate, so that the body sits correctly on the chassis! Otherwise it looks like that, and I think that's not correct!? picture brickvault picture muhkuh picture cavegod manual picture bricksmarlin Another thing. 47 chain links as in the instructions! picture brickvault 45 chain links are enough! https://www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?media/albums/sandcrawler-wip.6792/
  19. Interior almost done! Yesterday I finally found a good solution for the wiring of the front lights! The next step is the installation of the ceiling and further lighting!
  20. Well done Max! I am currently working on further changes to the interior and a few more details! I also changed the sidewalls slightly!
  21. Thanks Added the front walls for testing!
  22. Yes, I noticed that! I think that's just a "careless mistake"! I'm pretty sure it has to be 1 hinge plate at the top and one at the bottom! There are a few small "mistakes" in the instruction! Example: The step where you fill up the little gap at the sidewall is missing at one side! Also missing at one side are this 1x2 tiles! other side so just add the tiles! Here you have to change the posotion of the plates like it's shown in the picture (you need the cutout for the wire in the back!)! Otherwise the caterpillar drive is mounted incorrectly!
  23. Thanks! Which ones do you mean? These ones? There should be no problems, I have replaced all 1x2 plates by 1x1!
  24. Some work in progress pictures! All power functions are running, I have fixed a few small details, and made a few changes! At the moment I am working on a third floor in the interior!
