  1. if u watch carefully, u will see that when i turn this thingy with sensors, motor dont work imadiately, there is a bit space in left and right where sensors dont work, and servo is uncentred ill try making better vid

  4. Yes you are right, but engines started to not work good imadiately, rc unit servo started doing it about week ago, ill try clearing it. but it wasnt in sand, it was near playground, and there was a bit sand on path
  5. i will post photos of servo, cause i have demonted it, and i see that clicking sounds are not worth minding them, but really servo is never centered, always bit left or right and i see it better from inside

  7. Hi My rc unit is doing some clicking sound when steering to left, and i think that it is not perfectly returned to center, pin hole is always set a bit to left or to right, any solution? My normal pf servo never had that like problems...
  8. i just got new steering unit, and ai have to say - after few rides steering is driving slighlty left or right not a bit, but a big bit... I have just bought f1 formule and will have those great wheel hubs, try to do steering with em and also i will have 8 wishbones and tone of red pieces with ferrari logo ! :)
  9. What u mean at wheel hubs? My name knowledge is hopeless, about caster - for now no, i need to wait till i get more money, i need to buy two servos, new batteries, sbrick and cable, so about 750 pln ( 170 euro...) then ill put positive caster, now it is hard to do it with rc unit, i tried on another front steering - iit worked with cv joints great but now it would be more hard, but ill try maybe. and i got good news, it is driving almost perfectly straight on asphalt. i tried it home, and it was driving slightly left or right. When i tried it on 12 v setup and 8 v setup it was driving almost perfectly straight at full speed even. For now i need to focus on other things than lego - but not at all, i buyed f1 formule red one, forgot number, and i need to get some money till monday cause deliviery will arive at monday :D Even rc steering unit is driving a bit to right too much, i tried to fig it but cant, still thinking, i like it most - compact and easy - i can focus on other things than front with it but it dont goes as i want.

Okay, today finished new steering, still - when i want to drive straight, if i turn wheels left( when car stay ) car goes slightly right a bit, when i turn wheels right ( when car stay too ) car goes left a bit.   11. What do u think, whats the cruicial part of this steering? i mean part which gives perfect rtc, i know about that trick, with paper stripe, but anyone got idea if its construction is just made for perfect steering?

  16. no, 18 wishbones will cost me 2,50 euro and 2,50 euro for shipment, meh shipment is too expensive, i want to buy 9 l links but paying 1,50 euro for links and 2,50 euro for shipment...
  17. i saw white shapes video, his car was driving max 20 kmh, and perfectly straight driving, but his trick dont really work for me, i need wishbones, i probably buy some today
  18. if i want to break record, i would work at my tricycle, i want to make fast fun car, with perfect return to center steering, i hate when i dont steer and my car drives slighltly left or right btw my tricicle has same steering as yours, i tried to rebuild yours with 6 l links and it worked, but still, it was driving slightly left or right, i dont know whats the fault, i have seen that my steering unit and those pins used for steering got wrong position but it cant be repaired, when turning left or right, those pins are not returning in the center perfectly, one is placed a bit too far to right.

  21. It would be great, im kinda mad now and from yesterday i didint even take any brick in my hand, 2 weeks spended on steering, no results... Problem is that i dont got wishbones, got only 6l link no 9l ( i got 12 6l links ) i got two of this: 6571 Rc steering unit complete 4 of 92908 2 of 6572 4 of 57515 2 of 11950 2 of 11949 nothing more for steering unluckly ( not inclui]ding normal parts ) i cant buy nothing now, even if its cheap - im poor :D i have bought slash's wallpaper and metallicas, 3 lifepo bateries, new charger for them, ner rc unit, new supersonic and 2 brand new buggy motors, rest of month ill eat just bread :D
  22. I dont mean that, i got servo and rc unit but ill try using that trick on my rc unit :) Dont mean that, i dont want to decrease rotation of servo, i want to set steering attachment angled. Tryed your steering in my tricycle, it was good but still, it was driving slightly left or right, im thinking that my rc unit can have problems with servo, ill try normal pf servo today, if u want i can send u sum pictures of tricycle, it was build likely to your, but its max was 24 kmh, and rear wheel was conected to buggy motor, without gearing. I would see a video of how it works, before i buy it, but it could be a good idea to make rc unit's servo returning to center ideallly :)
  23. Ok, i have just ended last topic so now another question. I need to do steering for my car ( Driving 20 kmh max ). I want to do steering with good angle, it is first question - zerobricks told that for fast car best angle is 10 degree cause of stability, but i read that best is 30 degree, but i dont know if it will be best for that fast car. Next question - perfect return to the center steering, i have used white shapes trick with paper stripe, but it dont work well, meh, it work hopelessly for me - it i to easy to rotate pins in tube ( dont know how to name that part ). In comments of white shapes video of this trick technic dragon said that there are other ways or perfct return to center, for example rc unit, but i got it and id dont really work, even on my friends supersonic... So for now my most important question is how to do perfect return to the center steering for my car to drive straight, cause i was trying to make steering attachment for 2 weeks and nothing still, this weekend i spended on it all time...

Ok, i had to say that this topic is ended ( for me ), and i get much moore help that i want :) For anyone who will need some knowledge, i had to say what i discovered ( hehe discovered :D ), lets start of voltage, we will take for example 3 type of batterie set: 2 li ion xtar 800 mah 14500 3,7 v batteries ( we will name it A ) 6 brand new alkaine aa belgian super life cells ( We will name it B ) and 3 li ion xtar 800 mah 3,7 v batteries ( we will name it C ). So, now ill talk how work they will normal PF motors and how work with recievers. Set A work well in all type of vehicles or anything, they are rechargable, lighter than set of 6 alkaines ( just 40 gram instead of 150 grams from aa alkaine 6 ). It work good in normal and slow vehicles, but worse than set B, but still cheaper, they would work great when put them in really light vehicle. I prefer them in rc unit - set A a bit worse if we mean power than set B, but set B stand 30 minutes drive, set A about 45 minutes and they are rechargable. Lets talk about set B, great for fast vehicles, but not long runs, or for beating records of speed. Now set C, and it is really complicated, normal PF work well and using them in fast vehicle will be awesome but just in one configuration - 2 aaa battery boxes, one powered by set A and one by set C. To battery pack powered by set A connect s brick ( recievers ir are hopeless for long runs... ), to sbrick connect 2 servos. To battery pack powered by set C connect one switch and connect 2 buggy motors to switch, then just use one servo to turn on buggy motors and second servo for steering. Remember, Pf motors are M L and XL, not buggy, and now about buggy motor powered by set C, it is kinda tricky, firstly, conected to just battery box will work well BUT, do not change polarity radically ( rotation direction, for example from driving forward to backward ), cause motors will imadiatelly stop and stop working for few minutes, you need to wait till motor stop to change polarity. Now Rc unit, soo its complicated too, best working with 2 li ions, better with 6 alkaines but theyre not rechargable, and will discharge in about 20-30 minutes of driving... With set C there are few rules, not driving as fast as possible from start - just like in real car, dont stard driving in 3th gear ( rc pilot got 3 speeds ). U have to start in 1st speed, then 2nd and finally third, or if u dont want to - just discharge batteries to 3,7 volt or less, u wont have to. Next rule, if u drive from 3 speed or drive too long, model can stop and if u hear - rc unit will do sounds like zzzzzzzzz and u will have to : turn off rc unit, take off battery cover, take off one battery then put it back in a second, and put battery cover on and turn on model - it will work normally. i have to say that im driving my rc model from one month using 3 li ions on quick runs - 3-10 minutes, and its not firing or blowing up as some people would say. I have done a tricycle for speed, with set A it was driving 21 kmh max, set B 22 kmh, set C 24 kmh, but performance was worse in set A, it was getting fast so slowly compared to set B and C. Now about using set C generating 12,6 volt at full charge with ir reciever - i have tested it with v1, wont risk my only one v2. It work bad with it - motors are not as fast as connected to switch or battery box, and reciever was smelling bad but works till today in my modified crawler as reciever for winch and leds. Now costs: Set A cost 10 euro for batteries and charger, best is charger with lcd - it says every info about batteries, it cost about 15 euro, normal charger cost about 6-7 euro. Set B cost about 1,20 euro in Germany ( Aldi shop ) ( when i was in germany 2 weeks ago i have bought 80 alkaines cause it was 15 euro cost :) ) Set C cost just 5 euro more than set A. So what mean all of this? even at 12,6 volts generated by 3 li ions fully charged nothing from lego PF or Rc Systems except PF recievers will fry, but for rc system best will be 11 - 11,5 volts, max 12,6 volts but other motors from standard PF will handle more but remember - using that voltage will make shorter motors life, they will die much faster so watch out for rc system, other motors are cheap :) Thanks everyone for help, i get much more knowledge and was able to write this post, hope it wont help only me but more people with same question about voltage. And remember, doing really fast vehicles ( 20 kmh + ) remember about doing stable construction, my tricycle was that unstable that even on quite small turns it was driving on 2 wheels, one was in the air.
