I was just sad we never got mermaids. ???♀️ Wish the replacement for Lego Elves would be... Lego Mermaids! Makes sense, right? A whole underwater theme with minidoll mermaids and mermen (other than Ariel and Alana) and friends-style sea-creatures? And there could even be crossover episodes of the series and sets with the existing Elves. Seems it would totally appeal to the target market, enough to be even more successful than Elves.

Sorry guys, I didn’t push the dealer for details, as I do need my dealers to trust me with this kind of insider info. But my guess is that they will be modern rebuilds, think along the lines of what has happened with so many SW sets that have been re-released. Basically he was discouraging me from buying the older sets at a huge markup (this dealer sells old and new sets) because I could get the same characters and story line for less when the re-releases come in. And the emphasis is that he said that he has already ORDERED the sets, not just heard about them. Probably ordered based on name, price and piece count, to avoid photo leakage (my assumption, I didn’t ask). I don’t know, maybe they will redesign the animation like Netflix did with Elves? Ninjago Macross style?

A major dealer who will remain anonymous has told me that they have seen and ordered the winter sets. There will be major re-releases of S1 and S2 sets, including the Serpentine villains, original dragons, and a Fire Temple re-release. That may be why we’re getting an ice temple, nothing to do with S8 or S9.

If the theme is dying in sales numbers (I hope it’s not) then no amount of marketing can save it. Lego produced a massive marketing push for Nexo.

Greetings from Hong Kong, I haven’t posted in a while. Despite the fact that the Summer 2017 sets were available here before anywhere else, the 2018 sets still aren’t here. ? But as I’ve just moved, I don’t have space for the sets yet anyway, and all my sets are in boxes at the moment.

I’m not really excited about this wave. What a huge letdown when we were hoping for mermaids.

2017 no polybags or exclusives except the magazine builds. Three keychains were released: Fledge the purple baby dragon, Naida and Roblin the Goblin. -

Was I mistaken, or did the Netflix show miss that detail? -

Either way it would be awesome if they did. They could have two hairpieces for Emily and Sophie's grandma, one with elf ears and one without. -

Hopefully we will get some new fins. So far we've got Ariel's green fin and Alana's pink fin. It would be nice to have some new colours or even a more detailed fin with gold scales, for instance. And some new bikini tops... -

I don't have Netflix so I haven't seen it yet, but evidently there are mermaids in Elvendale. We're certain to get some mer-creatures in upcoming sets, yay! -

Nah, Pep's right, there's another forum for discussing the show. My bad. Now where are those Winter 2018 set leaks? We've seen them for nearly all other themes! -

I agree. The flirty crushy thing was just... yuck. And it wasn't just the girls crushing on the boys but also the boys crushing on the girls... a lot. Farran's crush on Sira was... erm... rapey. I've never seen a show with such weak brainless adolescence, and this show is supposedly for impressionable 7-12 year olds. -

Where is the catalog leak with the Elves? I'm dying here! ? -
Wow. Completely anime style. At least TLG realized that the big head style of the webisodes was horrid.

? We're not worthy! Thanks for your great work, Wes! I own every set, and I definitely hope we see many more years of sets to come. Friends, Disney Princesses and Superhero Girls just don't interest me. I love the fantasy aspect of Lego Elves mixed with the minidoll aesthetic. Even for Minifigs, there's currently no pure fantasy or medieval theme. Nexo is not my cup of tea, and is in fact my least favorite theme ever. -

Hopefully the offensive Nexo will be killed long before Lego Elves. -

I agree, there are an awful lot of the five main characters with just three outfits each (three years), but with the eight minor characters, that's 13, plus the ten goblins, the 16 different animals, the four pegasi, the seven baby dragons, and the seven big dragons, that's 57 different characters! Not too shabby for three years. -

I got you beat. I'll be 46 next week. Love the sets so much that I have every single one, including the polybags and the two activity books. Just missing the magazines. And I love the minidolls. They suit the theme. Wouldn't like it as much if they were standard minifigs. The only other theme that I have completed is LOTR and The Hobbit. And I've put all those sets in a box to make space for Elves. -

It is a fantastic set, in fact considering the new character and gorgeous dragon, I think it's even better than the Goblin King's Fortress. And Azari's chariot and fire Pegasus is great, too. I really loved all three. Thanks for the great videos! I couldn't approach anything that professional.
