  1. Saw Gerrera and his partisans would be a very welcome addition. That and as most people want, Zuckuss!
  2. I agree and disagree, Oganas, Vader and Palpatine I can do without but maybe at least a bit of Fett wouldn't go amiss, given the flavour of the film. I'm excited to see if Dengar is going to turn up as he's supposed to be from Corellia and have a history with Solo. Who knows, maybe that bounty hunter battle pack was such an early Solo set no-one noticed?
  3. Love this mini build! I'm excited to see the new (old?) Falcon on screen and in plastic. I've never owned a Lego falcon, and I really like the design for the solo movie, this might be my first!
  4. This. This how you build an X-wing. It's really coming along great! My question is will you be trying to get a working targeting computer in? It's a small detail that might just be too fiddly to get in but your attention to detail is astounding. Keep up the good work! Stay on target
  5. Tatooine battle pack. I now have an urge to create jawa and sand people armies, and it's given me a real Tatooine bug...sigh....time to find all sets ever sold from Tatooine....
  6. Clone heads are on pretty much any Imperial who wears a helmet. Some of the Jedi are being updated, Ayla Secura got a recent update with the Republic Fighter Tank, and there's a rumoured battle pack coming in the future which will have some updated Jedi in.
  7. So, I recently picked up the Imperial version of the V-wing, 7915. The first thing that struck me about it, as well as the other versions about this ship (apart from it being gorgeous and a little odd) was that none of them have room to fit the whole astromech in. So I thought I'd change that. https://imgur.com/a/PeDdZ I also made a few further changes; extending the lower fins by two studs with some smooth pieces to give them a little more mass and stability, slight changes to the side of the cockpit so that the canopy is closed and changes to the cockpit itself so the pilot has a console. I've also beefed up the blasters, they don't fall of as easily and the awkward exposed studs are covered. The mechanism to have the wings rotate in tandem is gone to fit the droid, but I've still put a technic pin in, this provides some friction to the wings, so they still rotate but not spin freely, and gives them some security. I think they also sit a good distance from the fuselage. The deflector shield heat sinks I think could be longer? Pictures of the ship have them covering the engine exhausts a bit more than I have here, I might go back and change this, maybe 2 studs longer? Not sure if anything more than this would take them out of proportion (Lego proportions that is) and I don't want them being too bulky. I'm happy-ish with the top of the rear, I wanted to keep detailing to a minimum because it's a Republic era design, but made in the rise of the empire so vents, grills, details would be more prevalent. I've used the gun tower power vent from the Attack on Hoth set, mainly because it was the right shape, but I think the print helps. The engines themselves I'm not too happy with and will definitely go back and play around with these, as well as the underside of the rear fuselage. I don't like the flat bottom, but it's supporting the rest of the rear. It's here you can see I've only added a few studs to the overall length. I'm a little concerned the ship as a whole is now too long for how big it should be, I may see about shortening the nose. I'm also considering trying to get more of a slope to the nose, without making the whole thing too thick, thoughts? Any ideas or constructive feedback much appreciated, there will be updates as I play around with it. Anyone else doing something similar?
  8. This is so amazing, the level of detail, research, time and sheer willpower is phenomenal! I can't offer anything particularly helpful other than praise however I'll watch ESB as many times as I can to see if anything useful pops up. keep doing what you're doing!
  9. I hope there'll be either a project log or a finished post from this?
  10. I think the FO snowtrooper legs work well, the printing on the thighs works well to represent the Kama they wear if you havnt got enough of the cloth pieces to go around, and even with the cloth on I think it just helps make them look wrapped up for the weather, though I hear Hoth is nice this time of year.
  11. Hello one and all! Glassjaw here, reporting in from good old Blighty; home of the official accent of the Galactic Empire! Discovered Lego before I can even remember and stuck with it right up till 2006 or so before other interests came along, namely Xbox live and the opposite sex (I know they don't often mix well), then a couple years ago my better half buys me the Hoth Attack (75138) and that's that. Addicted all over again! I've always been part of the Empire so most of my purchases and attempts at recreation and original design focus around that, or failing that something for it to bounce off like anything set in the original trilogy/end of clone wars era, during that transitional phase. Small army along that theme being built, with an even smaller rebel force to oppose. Projects and submissions to the star wars army posts to follow. #Hanshotfirst
  12. That was exactly my thinking too, both the helmet and the head can be used separately for other things but for now I'm keeping it all whole, and you never can have too many astromechs. Im trying to find a way to get it to fit without changing the dimensions all too much, when I've got it figured out I'll post it but for now I'm head scratching, I don't have LDD either so I can't play around on a computer. Time will tell!
  13. Picked up a V-wing, 7915 second hand with original figs. I know there's a more recent and detailed version but this is the one in imperial colours and goes great in my budding rise of the galactic empire era army, letting me mix imperial and some clone wars vehicles.
  14. The level of detail down to the cross section is just, like, +slow clap+ brilliant
  15. I'm in love with all of the little textures and details you have over the surface, really captures the 'hunk of junk' look the Falcon is famous for! I feel like the engine lights needs to be a tiny bit thicker maybe? Put I guess that's totally dependant on the light source you use but it doesn't take away from your build, that's just a critique I have, it still looks gorgeous.
  16. The first is definitely better, I'm a fan of the TIE series and the empire in general over the rebellion, and have recently started playing around with the V-wing design, trying to modify the imperial coloured one, and the wing flaps remind me of that. The V-wing is also the link between the Eta interceptor and the TIE series, maybe take a look, might help with the design of this one? Any thoughts on vertically attacking the engines? Overall the look of your first one pleases me, I like to think old Palpatine enjoyed sneaking Sith designs and stuff into his new empire.
  17. Any thoughts on expanding it further or creating some of the outside street? Looks awesome though, can you take a shot from above to see in behind the band? And where did you build up a collection of the dark tan plates? Just previous sets?
  18. Lovely design, much prefer the cold brutality of the Imperial colour scheme (or lack of) over the Republic red with hints of green. Any shots of the interior?
  19. Huge fan of the AT-ST, I'm loving the design of the interior, I don't know why TLG don't design it with two seats. Looking forward to the solid version, for now I'll settle for modifying the Rogue One version!
