Mounted police would work in the forest area where cars and other vehicles cannot access when chasing down criminals, not just for crowd control. the divers could be working with a secret agent to uncover a villains submarine base and be in the descise of a fishing boat. Kinda like officer JW Pepper from one of the James Bond movies. Another possibility is a police armoured train or a criminal armoured that the police are trying to hijack or stop. The police train could be the police headquarters and have a prisoner while the criminal train would have a cop as prisoner or whatnot.

What about a train carrying an airplane fuselages Or other oversize load. That would look cool as a set
-
I need to repost it, but I had a bus set on Lego Ideas that could become a bendy bus with the purchase of another set and alternate instructions like what older sets had
-
A police bus would be cool or something similar to the RV from Jurassic Park 2 but for the police instead
-
Train heist carrying passengers and possibly something valuable or for police headquarters, a police themed armoured train or a crook themed armoured train
-
Pretty good i enjoyed the system quite a bit
-
Just out of curiosity, although I’ve only ever ridden the metro when I visited the area
-
That’s a fair point more mass transit sets would be great to have also, what company do you drive for?
-
Yeah, that would be kinda cool. in the game Cities Skylines, I used to struggle with connecting mountain areas to the rest of the city before I got the Mass Transit DLC with cable cars in it, they would work well in a LEGO mountain city as well, not just as a tourist attraction. this has been the case with the metrocable in Medellin, Columbia as well.
-
Streetcar would be easier, then again, so would monorail, but it’s a possibility for mountain based cities that need effective public transport to connect areas.
-
The stops could be built to attach to the modular buildings on either the roof or under it, this would allow easy integration of the system into the city
-
When you look at the Spider-Man bridge battle set, there is a simple gondola car included, that’s the concept for the cabins of these sets
-
It’s possible, just extremely hard to do there are some cool videos on YouTube under lego detachable ropeway
-
That’s a different type of cable car than what I’m talking about, however, a set like the San Francisco system would be cool as well. im talking about systems that are also called gondolas that hang below their cable and are able to run up steep slopes and other odd terrain
-
Yeah, it would be pretty fun, but as of now it would also probably be very brick heavy although I’m sure something can be worked out to make it take less pieces
-
This would be a harder set type to do, but what about an urban cable car system with intermediate and end stations the basic set would include two end stations and some cable length as well as two cabins with the ability to purchase intermediate stations and extra cabins

What would people want from a suspended railway set
Greenstar replied to Greenstar's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well, on the direct left of the track, it has support pillars that hold the track from underneath- 20 replies

Staying on the vehicle based section, a railway museum could be an idea
-
It’s not really modular as in the current lego modular series, modular in this case refers to the way the vehicles are built as well as being able to connect the bigger terminals together for a bigger bus stop and possible other transit stations in my planned subtheme, the bus set is just the first of many, I will post others when it passes 100 supporters Also, I prefer the old school style for an articulated bus

What about my modular bus set on LEGO Ideas? It has some neat features to it

I like the looks of the diesel 10 style engine. My German version would have the typical German railway eagle of WW2 and the turret cars behind it also, I would love to watch that movie at some point I don’t have that piece available but I might be able to do something also, the 4 stud width would add more possibilities when running

Yep im working in drawing right now as my pieces are being used for something but I have the German engine drawn, diesel neun is loosely based off of the class but would have been built during WW2 as a spy train in America so he still adorns his reich livery as well as some cars from the time

I love the WW2 designs also, there is a small size railway gun on a MOC on my deviantart page, Greenstar-Lion as well as some drawings of mine I also think that Diesel 10 from Thomas and friends would make a great engine for an armoured train and am working on one now
