The reason I suggested recolours is because they're midway between awesome and cost-efficient. New molds are awesome, but far more expensive than recolours, and old parts in the same colours aren't as interesting (although they can be good). And besides, recoloured masks aren't that bad. I rather like the availability of the Berix helmet in two colours, as well as the Spikit head. And, you know, basically all of the collectibles from 2001-2003. If I had to pick two Legends, I would get Mata Nui (because he's Mata Nui) and Ackar. Or if you want them to be more varied, get Mata and Stronius.

Additionally, I don't think the driver's appearance is the most important part of the vehicle sets, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't spend as much time on the driver as they do on the vehicle. If people are saying left and right that the drivers suck, it must be a factor in overall aesthetics. These are mods I would make to the drivers, if it helps: Cendox V1 pilot (Crotesius) -- I would make his colour scheme more similar to Raanu, because Crotesius is a fire Agori as well. The helmet, I don't think really fits with the other three fire sets. Maybe a recolour of the Ackar/Berix helmet, perhaps a dark red and yellow mix? Kaxium V3 pilots (Scodonius and Kirbraz) -- Again, they should be more akin to Berix in colour. IMO black and Mata blue looks really terrible on these guys, so I think replacing the black with more blue should do, as well as better helmets. The helmets are okay, but they just don't fit with the other water sets. I think maybe blue-shaded Malum helmets? Baranus V7 pilot (Sahmad) -- This guy is the closest they've come to perfection in drivers, but that's not saying much. The orange and black looks rather good, the only thing I'd change is the hands, to black instead of grey. I believe his tribe isn't element-affiliated, so he looks good in that respect, as a nomad. Thornatus V9 pilot (Perditus) -- While he isn't terrible, he's still rather plain. I'd put some orange in his colour scheme, get rid of the grey and black. Give him an orange head, despite its overuse, it looks rather fiery. Skopio XV-1 pilot (Telluris) -- The design bugs me. It's half Agori, half Glatorian. I think they should have settled for an Agori design, then we could have gotten yellow Agori limbs. Yellow and grey is a good colour scheme for him. There's no denying that 2009 sets are the most elemental sets they've made, so I see no reason to break the overall theme with such plain drivers. One more thing: Recoloured parts = excellent Recoloured weapons = even better

Yeah, agreed. I don't like any vehicle drivers they've made so far. I don't see a problem with LEGO being able to make them at least as good as the canister/small sets, possibly with weapons which they can mount on the sides while they're driving. Also, I noticed that two of the blasters on the Thornatus are easily detachable, is that correct?

It says on his bio he's from Tesara. But that's... interesting. I might buy Toa Mata Nui after all. I think I could make Keetongu a lot better with those parts. And I've ordered the Legends. Woot.

Sahmad is from Tesara. Apparently. Doesn't matter, I'm still not convinced that Baranus is worth buying anyway. Grey hands bug me. They're alright on Ackar, but dark bley and orange is just no. Thornatus is way more awesome. As is Skopio. And about the movie clip. It was okay, but I don't get the Ignika changing direction. And I thought the comic was more epic in terms of "camera" angles, if you know what I mean. And Bara Magna looks weird. The colours. Are weird.

Thornatus should be a new invention that Berix made, or something, and the other vehicles don't exist Skopio can be a mechanical creature. Doesn't make sense but who cares.

At this point, I still don't see how the traitor can not be Berix.

I dig most of the design, the legs seem weird to me, and the arms are a bit skinny. The wings are especially awesome, and the claw is simply creative. And you gotta love the cannon.

They use TNG and TNO eyes because they tend to be the brightest. If you recall, light never shined through the dark green or dark red eyes. Or some others. As for titan Mata Nui, I have the catalog with its pic in it. The mask is like totally gold.

You can slip the zamor in easy enough that the amour doesn't come off, and it's tight enough that it won't fall out. Although I recommend using tighter pins. Yeah, but not much. A swiveling armour piece is better than a zamor that falls out, at least.

They don't come out. Ever. Unless you shoot them.

T-Nui -- The titan is mostly Mata and Metru yellow, with a few gold pieces. The mask is gold. Also. Long arms are long.

I had no idea Gelu was this awesome. All the Legends are now win.

I got the catalog with TMN in it. The mask is gold... it's definitely not Metru yellow, and they wouldn't make it in Mata yellow, unless they hate us.
