  1. Good job, I liked it. The timing is pretty cool. :-)
  2. I know what you mean about the board kinda, but looking closely at it it looks like it has a fair amount of design. But of course there's the fact of it not really fitting in Bionicle. I wouldn't complain about it until we know its backstory, however. The cordak blasters turned out to have a reasonable explanation, right?
  3. They make explanations for everything that happens though. They are reasonable to me. For example, the backstory of the cordak blasters and zamor launchers. The Toa Terrain Crawler. Etcetera.
  4. Two excellent points. :-) I'm no good at wording arguments, V-K is doing a good job. I should just become a spectator. X-D Anyway, one can't really say Bionicle should have died instead of "sucking," because all that means is you think it's fact that current Bionicle is crap, and that anyone who likes it is a shallow and immature kid. Basically. EDIT: What I should do is quote every instance in the 2007 books where a cordak blaster is used. We'll see how much the story relies on smash 'em up, blow 'em up storylines.
  5. I'm pretty sure they have heads under their faces. I will also bet a million dollars it's a new shape. :D
  6. Okay, they look like chain guns. That means they are. The Terrain Crawler is stupid. It has tech. Tech in a world of biomechanical beings is stupid. Bionicle should be confined to a primitive island cut off from everywhere else. So much potential for future story. And a world 100,000 + years old shouldn't have tech of any kind. You knowing what the sets look like = You knowing how they're portrayed in the story? Blah. Look at me. No wonder you guys hate me. :-D
  7. Do chain guns rely on air pressure? Or water pressure, as the case may be. The tubes aren't built-in tech, they're tubes. There's a difference. They act the same as gills, they're just fancier. Are gills high-tech? So basically, the commercials are what count, not the books and actual storyline? Like I said, you seem to judge it by the commercials. Last I checked, the Piraka aren't rappers, and the Inika don't live in a basketball staduim. Oh by the way, what's wrong with moderate amounts of tech in Bionicle, that is if you call tubes tech? Like V-K said, Toa in themselves are high-tech. Nope So you're qualified to assess whether cordak blasters are believable in Bionicle if you don't know what backstory they have? Nope, but three to five years isn't what I'd call a very short period of time. I apologize if I sound rude and all. ;-)
  8. Sorry about the harshness of that post, I didn't have much time to write. Anyway, my point remains that you're exaggerating. 1) The Terrain Crawler is a modified Rahi. Talk about high-tech. 2) A chain gun compared to a cordak blaster. Wow, they're the same! 3) The breathers are part of their bodies. No tech there. They can be compared to gills, thought that's not what they are, or course. They are non-detachable tubes enabling them to breathe water. So they can't breathe air. Savvy? ;-) Just one question -- do you know what Xia is? Because 2007 happened directly after 2001.
  9. I do wish people would stop refering to 2007 as if it's as bad as 2006. I know 2006 was bad. 2007 is way better. Wtf.Judge 2007 based on that movie. How wise. When you've read the books, bought a few sets (not too many) and read the online serials, you can then complain about the story. In fact, I no longer mind people complaining, but posts like this are completely uneducated. See, most judge 2001 because they know everything about it, the online game, the comics. You know what you're talking about when it comes to 2001, and that's great. I have nothing against 2001. But you speak of 2007 as if it's a generic underwater scuba story. I like most of the arguments against Bionicle here frankly, they're quite reasonable, although I don't necessarily agree with them. But this here post is just unintelligently exaggerated to make 2007 look like a freaking... bad story. :-P I'll respond to a few other interesting posts later on, if I have time. But there's this one I'll just quickly comment on; Let's see. Kongu has 16 rockets with him, and Hewkii has 10. The rest have 9. So about 62 shots. They need to break the cord in the right spot, and it being hollow should help them. Let's say they're weakish grenades. 60+ grenades would do quite a bit to a section of a stone cord, even if they're weaker than real ones and developed in a world without whatever things they put in grenades. I assume. :-PI are a nerd. :-D
  10. It's kinda annoying how they have them in one or two colours. Even more annoying is the fact that Piraka bodies have come in about 7 colours. Grah. News of the day -- 3 Toa Nuva 3 Makuta 6 Matoran 1 Toa Ignika 1 Icarax 1 Mystery Makuta Yes, our fifteenth set is a Makuta. Icarax and this guy are classed as Phantoka. So, 15 new masks.
  11. Since there hasn't been much discussion in this forum I thought I'd keep things moving... 2006. Where to begin. Okay, I'll start from the start. The build-up. The first things about 2006 we knew were from Time Trap, namely the Order of Mata Nui, Krakua's hint, the title of BL #1 (Island of Doom), among other things. It was kind of exciting at the time, but it doesn't compare much to the few weeks before 2006 started. The first teaser, the revalation of the name of the island, Voya Nui. The new Bionicle.com, the countdown clock to January 4. The scratched paint theme used for the Piraka. The Piraka's silhouettes flashing inconspicuously around the site. It was exciting indeed. Then came Bionicle Legends #1: Island of Doom. Our first main story outlet. Did it live up to the hype? Only just. The revalations were quite intriguing. The characterizations of the Piraka were okay, better than the Inika, at least. I can distinguish between their characters without much trouble, though most people seem to not like them. The Matoran of Voya Nui were excellent. Mostly. Well, they're okay. The sets started appearing. They were received well, namely the Piraka. Then the leak of the Toa names. Jaller, Hahli, Nuparu, Hewkii, Kongu, Matoro. This got many excited. Then the pictures were revealed. They were frog mutants. How cool... So yeah. They didn't look much like their Matoran forms, but that's really only mask-wise. Jaller had dark red and gold. His Matoran form had light red and yellow. So his Toa form was just darker. Hahli had the same dark blue, and white rather than light blue, but that doesn't really make much of a difference. Nuparu had grey rather than orange, but at least his zamors were orange. Hewkii, well, would have been better labeled as Toa Hafu, although character-wise wouldn't make much of a Toa. Compared to Hewkii. Interestingly, the 2008 Pohatu looks like a better Toa Hewkii. They are both orange. Kongu was the worst Inika in every respect, the colours didn't match his old form either. Matoro had trans blue as opposed to sand blue. Anyway. You get the idea. Now I need rest. :-P
  12. I am astounded that I thought Karzahni had a chance against Makuta. :-P
  13. I beat the game first try, though I only managed to get four Toa. The podcast was nice and lengthy this time!
  14. good idea :-P Yay. Now what? 8-|
  15. It's gone too far, eh?
  16. Would you like to find out? :-D Well, you're right, but that's what the question is asking. We're not taking about that, we're talking about how to phrase the question.
  17. The answer to the question depends on how much wood a woodchuck can chuck, namely if it can chuck another woodchuck's weight in wood at one time. Similar to if you can chuck a car's weight in marbles, that determines that you can chuck one car. So... If a woodchuck can chuck wood, could it chuck another woodchuck's weight in wood at one time? The answer is yes, however it doesn't necessarily mean that a woodchuck can actually chuck that amount of wood, it only means that if it can, then it should be able to chuck something that equals it in weight.
  18. We'll see...
  19. Excuse me SIR |-/ :-P , but you missed the whole thing: "How many woodchucks would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, since if it could chuck wood then it could chuck the wood's weight in woodchucks, that is if it could chuck enough wood to equal the weight of a woodchuck?" :-)
  20. Hmm, I don't think so, ammo packs aren't usually exclusives, and I'm not convinced they're titans, probably like the Toa Hagah except in the first wave and not the second. That would make more sense.
  21. I added more to my sentence. Darn your fast replies!
  22. I are not wrong! I are special boy!But -- "How many woodchucks would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, since if it could chuck wood then it could chuck the wood's weight in woodchucks, that is if it could chuck enough wood to equal the weight of a woodchuck?" And Avak is a Bionicle character.
  23. I think ammo packs would have more appeal in 2008 than in 2007 or 2006, since the ammunition for these sets appear to be more than one piece -- I can see that the Makuta weapons are, at least. I'd personally like a truckload of those Trydax-pod-kraata-mutant things, to bury the Toa Nuva in. *sweet*
