  1. Thank you! I wish it was easy, especially the Klappdeckels were a major pain to design! And purists would probably cry if they'd see what I've done in order to complete them... 🫣🔪 Thanks! Yeah, Pieter Post his models were a great inspiration to get started! Because once I got those brackets down it, construction went really well! I'm kinda trying to make stuff others haven't really made before as well to a degree, but that's quite hard I have to admit...!
  2. Seeing it in action looks amazing! Once you've got the control system down, I might need to ask you to share how it works exactly, I'd love to copy the system into a crane system myself! It's the perfect kind playability honestly!
  3. Thank you! Thanks! They kinda do, yeah! Especially the small Klappdeckels in my opinion, haha Oohhh, that's quite a range! There's some great modern trains around, want day I'd love to build a NS VIRM, as that's pretty much the main (and only) rolling stock we really work with at my depot 😅
  4. Thank you! I'll make sure to take some photos once my train station is done, so it doesn't just look like an empty circle on the ground, haha Thanksss! Thank you very much! Thank you! What would be your favourite ERA? My "layout" is kinda from between 1954-1964 so far, though I might make some more modern locomotives in the future as well!
  5. I used a mix of different sources, Google searching in German for exact wagon types usually gets you halfway there, but if there isn't anything, I went to model railway sites. They usually have a model in whatever scale, that tends to be scaled correctly, so I used those dimensions as a base and went eye-balling from there! There's also these books, but they're mighty expensive, and whilst I'd love to use them, I can't afford them if I also want to afford the bricks... 🫣 https://www.stefancarstens.de/gueterwagen-buecher And this is the link to my Flickr page: https://flickr.com/photos/188448357@N05
  6. Thank you! The G10 is definitely my favourite too! I got to say I love the Klappdeckels as well, I think this is amongst the first "proper" versions in Lego? Thanks! I hope I'll upload plenty more you'll find interesting in the future as well! Got a lot of plans, haha
  7. Hello! After having posted my Baureihe 89.8, it is now time to show you the wagons I've built to go with it! All wagons have 3D printed wheels, so they're actually to scale to the prototypes, rather than the too small wheels that Lego produces. And they all have the custom 52ZZ bearing treatment, to ensure smooth rolling! Stickers are made by Brickstickershop, similar to my Baureihe 89.8 stickers. I decided to only stick to the bare minimum of stickers, being the "Bremsecken" (The white squares in the corners) and the "Destination plate" (The black tile, I am unsure how to describe it any better, if someone can correct me on this, please do!) The technique used for the side of the wagon, using the bracket and tile to get the right width of the vertical beams was inspired by "Pieter Post" on Flickr. Though I have no clue how exactly he did his wagons, I figured out my own way, using a metal technic axle in the middle, with the sections all sliding onto it to eliminate any possible gap! Anyhow, time to stop yapping, here are the pictures! Rungenwagen (Stakecar) Klappdeckelwagen (Lidded wagon) G10 gedeckter Güterwagen (G10 Boxcar) And as always, feedback is welcome! 💪
  8. That's really cool! Especially the functionality, would love to see a video of it in action as well!
  9. That looks really good! I love the colour scheme!
  10. They're really cute! I love the little consist like that! There's something charming about detailed yet "simple" in style models, can't wait to see your matching loading station!
  11. I ordered something from them last time in August, and they don't say anywhere that they're closed. Could be a case of just having missed the email, 10 days ago was the tail end of the busy holiday period after all... Might be worth asking them about it again! Or if not, well, there's 3D printers for not too much money on the market, haha
  12. Thank you very much! Honestly the challenge to build so small is amazing, whilst my next project after the 70.0 that's almost done, will be a Baureihe 56.2 (Prussian G8.2), I kinda want to build some even smaller locomotives with the same functionality, haha These small locomotives just have something that really speaks to me for some reason, and it's hard to choose! To be fair, I ditched most of the really expensive dark green parts. Though I did accidentally order 2 1x3 bricks because I forgot to check the prices for those... So the cost of this locomotive, without any of the electronics/3D printed parts, is only around 60-70 EUR, excluding shipping at the time of writing this. So could be a lot worse! But I really wish they'd make some parts again, because choosing between structural rigidity and looks isn't my favourite part! Haha
  13. You could always try upgrading to a 3rd party motor, like the CaDa ones? Same for the 2200, it should be able to fit two L motors in the hood, one on either end I think? Less speed but more power than the standard train motors, just less speed, but you don't really need that with a freight train 😅
  14. Yeah, I've got them in-between the frame too! But I've stacked the two motors on top of eachother to leave space for wiring at the front because when I was building it I had an insane idea... But I'll leave that idea for later, haha Technically there is still space for the cube to be hidden as well, but this way it just lets me pull out the cube easily for recharging and turning on/off, as I can just pull off the roof. A Sik wouldn't be too bad that way either! But to get the right proportions you'll probably only get a single motor in there, which is fine for a small shunter like that! But for mine, I really wanted the two motors in there as it's also intended as a local freight locomotive And that sounds like it's time to buy another CC box! Haha
  15. Thank you! I actually tried to have a small cab interior too, it's there but hidden by the Bluetooth cube-driver, hahaha Geen probleem! I'll write it on a sticky note so I hopefully won't forget, haha 🫣
