I updated the first post with the current state of HMS Centaur - comments and criticism would be much appreciated.

Thank you, Admiral! I'm still waiting for a final decission from Dragonator whether the next game should be hosted here or in the games sub-section - after that, I'll upload the final version of the rules. Version 1.2 will feature: -improved graphics (Water, movement, islands) -boarding rules for crews with according tactics -a refined movement system with a new grid-size of 2kmx2km per square -a rebalanced cannon-damage system -a new fleet movement and -tactics ruleset Here's my sloppy trailer for the whole fun - I just could not resist

Aw, no, why did you do that review! I am trying to stay away from those muskets and U clips ever since I heard about them! And now you comfirm everything that I thought about them: great, nicely worked additions to every army-scene! Thank you for the review, it's great to see all the details

This is really a remarkable resemblance I mean, you are offering the plans indeed, so there is no reason why he should not have built and presented them - but a namedrop would have been nice indeed. On another note: The Valkyrie is awesome sauce.

It's nice to still see some interest in the game The "old" rules can be found in this post But they will not change that dramatically in terms of actual game-play - the weight-conversion-table is the most important change that is currently still a WIP. Aaaand I won't, of course do anything like a game here unless the shipyard crew is absolutely fine with it.

Attackharrharr von HMSCentaur auf Flickr Heyho folks! Some of you may remember a lengthy and interesting discussion about possible LEGO pirate games beside the legendary Evil Stevie Game. We made a game out of it and had a nice and successful beta-test with Tazmaniac and Capt.JohnPaul here in the Pirates-forum. The basic ida of the game is to test your MOCs out against other MOCs in a turn-based battle until one side sinks the other side. If the ship-yard crew is okay with this I'd like to start another match in order to further improve the game and to see whether Rocks & Shoals would be of any interest to the users. If you think this is too much trouble, I'll do further testing in private My question to all of you is: who would like to participate in another game? The new rules will make use of a better weight-consideration, boarding rules and new maps.

I think it's a great ship and I particularly like the bow! If I may add two suggestions: I'd place the main mast a bit more to the centre of the vessel as well as remove the cannons on the bow / build a smaller custom calibre. The modularity is awesome, by the way

Congratulations to you three! Very well deserved, indeed

Thank you all! I'm quite pleased with the box-art this time myself @Si-MOCs Wait until you see the Caprica-Pyramid game set

yes, me too.... A belated happy birthday, Admiral Croissant!

tough choice! Great avatars, everyone! My points go to darkdragon - 1 point Oky - 1 point The Penguin - 1 point

oh yes, that would come in handy in space exploration - air in space I find the ship to be nice and clunky - just as I would imagine a rusty repair ship! Maybe you could add one or two external arm-modules in order to carry, detach and attach hull parts from other ships?

Howdy folks! This is the next round of my imaginary licenced sets for "Battlestar Galactica" and all of the spin-offs! They feature better decals and a little more open-minded approach on what Universal could have done with Caprica and Blood & Chrome (both spin-offs that did not last long / did not hit the screen at all) Comments and criticism appreciated, as always! And I know, Lightningtiger, you don't like the dark and new reboot of BSG One day I will create a classic BSG-MOC just for you. Set: 7 Viper MK 5 commissioning set (Blood & Chrome) Size: medium minifigs: two This set features the first MK 5 Viper, an intermediate step between the iconic MK2 and the modern MK7, piloted by our beloved Captain Bill Adama. ViperMK5Vorne von HMSCentaur auf Flickr ViperMK5hinten von HMSCentaur auf Flickr Set: 8 Caprica Government ship (Caprica) Size: medium minifigs: two This is a mixture of the designs of the Phoenix VTOL and the airships from "Caprica" equipped to transport government officials - it features FTL capabilities. CAPShipVorne von HMSCentaur auf Flickr CAPShiphinten von HMSCentaur auf Flickr Set: 9 Resistance Base Pyramid Training Size: medium minifigs: two This (hopefully) is a TLG-style recreation of the match between Kara "Starbuck" Thrace and Samuel T. Anders on the Delphi Union High School Court from the episode "Resistance" ResistancePyramidVorne von HMSCentaur auf Flickr ResistancePyramidHinten von HMSCentaur auf Flickr

Le Fourageux, French third-rate ship of the line, minifig scale!
Horry replied to Captain Blackmoor's topic in Pirate MOCs
Noooo! Noooooooooo! Captain Blackmoor, Sir, you've got my sympathies! I really hope that you find the time and nerves to rebuild her again That is a strange post - on all levels -
Thanks! I'm not too satisfied with the box art of the two new sets and I will update them soon.

After a longer break from Sci-Fi building I've created a couple of new imaginary sets! Some more pictures will follow and a seventh set. Set: 5 Caprica resistance truck (Battlestar Galactica) Size: small set minifigs: 3 (and a Cylon) Truck01 von HMSCentaur auf Flickr Set: 6 U 47 testing complex (Caprica) Size: big set minifigs: 3 (and a Cylon) U47 Complex von HMSCentaur auf Flickr firing test von HMSCentaur auf Flickr Entrance von HMSCentaur auf Flickr conferenceroom01 von HMSCentaur auf Flickr

The same way you do it on a pc, use a resizing program - irfan view does have very good resizing capabilities, it's small, fast and free to use. Plus there is what Frank Brick Wright said in your USS Veronica post:

Hillarious! That answers a question of mine when I thought about all the dust that settles on my ship and then saw Victory resting in that picture

I'm happy to be able to bump this beauty! Since December 2011 she has earned herself a spot in the Berlin Technical Museum. If you happen to be in Berlin you should pay it a visit!

My favourite bluecoat set and you gave it to those redcoats! Just kidding - very good recreation of Sabre Island! I like the little wall, the fact that the cannon now has wheels and a recoil sleigh and the pillars! I'm not too sure about the tan elements in the building - maybe dark red would have been closer to the original? However, the colours always are a question of personal preference so I cannot really say something other than: awesome!

Horry replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's supposed to be a joke, right? because I don't find it funny at all so I thought I'd double check OT: I think it's great that more women are starting to build although I have to admit I did not know that there were that few women building with LEGO - That makes me kind of ponder about the gender issues in LEGO again.... -
Do I see an illegal building technique? Those small boats are great, everyone! I might borrow some of those ideas sometime. I especially liked Horatio's boat as it seems very sleek.

I am sad to announce that a heavy storm crashed our windows while my girlfriend I I were gone over the weekend. The window shattered my entire MOC-collection apart from the Centaur... the colony has fallen victim to a storm - ironic, isn't it?

I don't see why there must be any "flak" or anger for that matter on this theme. It's a game and LEGO is a toy - those things are made to entertain people, not to get into heated debates. I have strong feelings about some of the themes that TLG has produced over the years and some of them are not very positive - I would not care to debate them here as this is a place to discuss LEGO and MOCs, not to get enraged... On topic: I have played Minecraft for a bit and I did not really enjoy it. I admire the stuff that people have done with Minecraft but to me it's more like doing something in LDD - if you can build it with real bricks that clutter your floor all the time then it's much more fun

I am ambivalent on that one. The Enterprise D was really cool and TNG was a better series in general - but the Enterprise A is so elegant! The sleek lines, the clean hull... it really is majestic
