Yeah, allegedly "Lego Dimensions" accounted for 38% of all money spend on interactive gaming toys during November 2016. If anything, the other Toys-to-Life franchises die because Lego is so popular. I have absolutely no doubt that there will be a Year 3.

It's a "Deathly Hallows"-Hermione, so she could also be holding a "Beedle the Bard" book, a basilisk tooth or one of the horcruxes. For variety's sake. Or a time turner, because she comes with the "Prisoner of Akzaban" creature Buckbeak.

Best part of the review. -
There was a new picture of Hermione on Bricks to Life's Twitter. It looks nice, but I would have preferred her with her Hogwarts uniform and a wand.

I would love that! The builds in the "Lego Star Wars Magazine" aren't that great most of the time (except for the AT-AT), but if there's actual minifigs in every issue, I'd probably buy it every month! This would also be a good opportunity to bring more minor villains and variants of bigger characters. The franchise is certainly beloved enough and I'm sure, when the movie comes out, it will be even more popular. -

That Red Hood could of course just be from a Joker flashback. Did all the minifigs from the "Lego Movie" CMF appear in the movie? I'm really impressed by the moulding of that tube! Great work making it look inflated! -

@DangerLiam Thanks! The link redirects me to my country's Lego Facebook page though (Germany), so it doesn't work. But I found them now! -

I got my Lego Sonic now and just realised a disappointing detail. He has red printing (for his shoes) on the legs, but it's only at the front and the outside - on the back and the inside of the legs that part is still white. I was hoping it was a misprint, but the official images have that, too. I didn't notice before. Looks really odd.- 527 replies

It seems there is a widespread error that's affecting the Marceline tags in America (but not Canada and UK, apparently). I bought the Sonic set yesterday (after the third shop I visited finally had it) and although I'm not where my console is right now, I love the figure already! So much nostalgia! I can't wait to see what classic levels they incorporated into the level (and adventure world and battle arena).

They found a new Easter Egg in the "Portal" levels.

@pjonze Thanks for your response! Here's hoping that they will also include some of the more well-known characters! We'll see, I guess. -

I have one question regarding possible CMF figures: How likely is it that figures that also appeared in sets (like Kiteman, Magpie, Zebraman, these Twins etc.) will be part of the CMF also? I was just looking at the "Lego Movie" CMF line and apart from Emmet and maybe the Cop - were there any that also were part of bigger sets? -
It works just fine for me. The only issue I had today was that it somehow brought me to postings from October 20th when I clicked "Go to first unread post".

I'd say they are supposed to be her classic cheekbones. -

Wow! I love that Killer Croc has the head of a traditional Lego crocodile! That's a really unique approach to his looks! -
Probably only in the US, right? Again just frustrating for the fans in other countries.

Are there other sets that include new pizza stuff? -
And another Sonic teaser image from Twitter: The news here are probably that the old Chemical Plant Zone (from "Sonic 2" I think?) seems to be part of the level! Cool!

Wow, sorry if I hit a nerve here. As I said I used the search engine to see if that issue has been discussed before. I didn't find anything, so I thought I could start a discussion about female representation (maybe with a title that sounded too extreme - as mentioned, English isn't my first language). If you all have been through this a hundred times, by all means, show me the old threads. But after one person describing the issue and only one other person agreeing, statements like "Where does it end?" and "Why can't people get over it?" seem disproportionate and don't make sense to me. And of course printed waistlines aren't the only issue, it was just a thing I noticed as part of a bigger problem. Pointing out that there might be other issues doesn't make the current one disappear, though.
-
Thank you very much, your posting sums the problem up very good! (Maybe better than I can, but English is not my first language, so it's a bit hard to get my point across.) I'm not saying "All Lego is sexist" or "Ban the waistline printing", that would be absurd. Such a highlighted form makes sense for characters that are supposed to be seductive or overly feminine - like Batman's Poison Ivy for example. It's just sad that is seems to be the default nowadays, for representations of licensed heroes and villains, scientists, office workers and everyday women alike. (And characters that aren't even supposed to be slim like Abby Yates from the new Ghostbusters.) Because it's not about my own collection. It's about how Lego decides to represent women.
-
Well, if I just get corrected - so be it. I didn't know that that also happened in the past. I couldn't find such waist printings on any of my older figures. That doesn't make it a good or welcome detail in my eyes, though. Male (and neutral) figures are just angular blocks and females get needlessly slimmed to a stereotypical "feminine" shape. I still think this is really unnecessary. Especially when you want to highlight their talents, careers and other achievements and not their looks. I just used her to show that waistline detail. Thought that was clear. Of course she (like other female hero minifigs) is not an example for "underrepresented strong women". Also, AmperZand - wasn't the Research Institute a Lego Ideas build by a woman that was proposed because of the lack of female professionals in past sets? I'm glad that it got made, but it rather shows what was lacking in Lego than what they did on their own in terms of female empowerment.
