H3ssian replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
7 to 12 weeks here in New Zealand to get parts on average. it was 4-8 weeks :( -
It could be from the aprit fools thing, heck I don't know, thought it was worth passing on anyhow
-

The rumors from good leakers here in the forum and that grin on her face says it all to me, I'm saving beastmodez now :D
-
Re Ucs falcon rumors, People in the know here in NZ say that stores cant order or have any info at all about it etc, so either a no go, or lego store exclusive?
-

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Question for you gurus :D I'm looking at grabbing a sail barge but looking at both, the first 2006 set looks fantastic, but the figs are abit so so, the later more modern set, the barge with the cannon in the front just looks wrong :/ but the figs are awesome. what did many of you guys do in the end? or what did you prefer ? -
Jangbricks just did a review today for the R2 polybag
-
Man that's crappy, some of the best sets of the bunch :/ I'm guessing it might be the same in New Zealand, Im yet to see any of those sets in stores here
-
well they could cover both to a degree, as such many of the popular star wars figs are in large sets or in the case of the UCS SSD and the Death-star very large sets, so perhaps by bringing these figs out in battle packs but perhaps the printing is different, or they wont get the full arms printing treatment etc they can cover both markets... The hard-cores will want both, the young lad and people that just want them to get all the different personal from star wars can get the battle packs. food for thought... and sorry off topic
-
I winder if the bounty hunters pack is a trend and we might see a jedi pack etc etc, Is Lego marketing trying to make it more accessible to get harder minifigs to help fight the clone knock off figs?
-
Hey ya Kev, thanks loads for the info :) the bounty hunter set? look like reprints of the UCS SSD figs or new printing? thanks again
-
That might come down to what the seller sells also, eg they might sell items that breach the websites new rules and regs etc. you would have to ask a mod, I'm sure they would help
-
Man that is epic!!!!! well done... just so damn good!

Staff views on knock-off discussion and promotion
H3ssian replied to Sven F's topic in Forum Information and Help
Just just to be clear, just to make sure as most forums do a blanket ban not 50/50 We can talk about and post photos of non lego products breaching IPs that lego have the exclusive brick market rights to eg marvel/Disney,dc etc as long as they are not a direct copy of something in Legos current and expired products? Eg it's a protectionist ruling for Lego group not a moral rule etc for IP infringement? -

Just just to clarify please, it's ok for discussions/threads about products that breach IP's just as long as they are not LEGO IP's? regards -H -
Wow, thats fantastic, the brick count must be off the charts :P love the containment section :D the Lego GBHQ is one of my fav sets of late, but man this set you have moc'd is a beast! ta for sharing. some of the early pics are not showing me atm tho :/
-
Yes good call, I guess I thought if you had the large plates and did a swamp and detailed Yodo hut and Xwing etc, the brick count would be rather high. Yoda's hut was damn good in the movies and loads of detail inside. But we can all have our UCS dreams :D :D

Bit of a head in the sand type deal, but fantastic to have good clarification with this grey area, I'm sure it was a hard job for the mods to decide -
Fantastic post, and far better written that what I could ever do. The car argument baffles me, You do know that most Shelby cobras driving around today are full kit copy's due to the price of originals right? In fact the reproduction and kit market for classic sport cars is a booming market. 50k for a kit Cobra and 1mil + for an Original. everyone wants an orignal but due to the price most are just happy with a copy.

Just spotted this! fantastic work!!! some of the best mini-scale work I have seen. love the small details and the work underground, and you covered so much of the movies visually is such small scale
