DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

If they made a Batmobile based on Batman v Superman, the only logical addition to Batman minifig would be Superman, not Joker. -

I'm surprised how big the interior is in the new Tumbler! I remember that when I got Bane's Tumbler I wanted to build another one, but in black so Batman and Bane could have a Tumbler showdown or whatever. Its interior was so small that it couldn't even fit Batman, because his ears were too long. And now this one not only fits Batman (fat chance it wouldn't in a set based on Batman's vehicle), but it also has 2 seats and some control panels? Really great. Also, looking at HD pics, I love Batman and Scarecrow. Batman isn't overdetailed like the suit from 76240, not to emotion he comes with another head, and Scarecrow looks awesome. -

Wow, that set is surprisingly incredible! The build looks so well, I can't believe they pulled it off. The minifigures are the standout here. Batman gets a new variant from Batman Begins, AND he has a swappable head for nightmare Batman? Also, Scarecrow?! I was low key expecting another Bane, that's so amazing! Love TDK Trilogy logo on the box. Definitely a must buy, it will look amazing on display with my TDKR set It's 40€. -

I... don't like it. The build's main problem is that it's... well, The Tumbler. I hate that vehicle, I hate the design and how clunky it is. The build itself is also ugly, with its clunkiness and a lot of rough, almost unfinished looking edges. The minifigs are... I kinda like Batman, but with how overdetailed his torso is the arms really pop out, and not in a good way. Joker is great, until we get to the hairpiece. Really? Not only is the shape so wrong, but the colour is even worse. Was it too much to ask for olive green Sirius or Mad Eye Moody hair? Also, not us seeing the D2C before the system scale set, lmao. At least that rules out Joker from that set, really hope they surprise us with the minifigs. -

I'm not sure if the 2nd wave is even confirmed. The only person who did "confirm" it was Fulcrum, but I am not sure if I'll take just one word from one leaker as a confirmation. -

How? We didn't even know it was an "Avengers getting murdered 1 by 1" episode until the day it dropped, no to mention Yellowjacket could appear in literally any other episode, like Zombies for example. Also, he was revealed in official footage I think. -

Winter wave would mean 2022 sets, just saying. And it's a much different case with sets based on upcoming movies than sets not based on those. Upcoming movies always have a schedule of when to reveal all their merchandise, including Lego, so that's why NWH or Eternals sets were revealed. Other sets, on the other hand, aren't part of a "big reveal plan", so Lego can reveal them whenever they want to. -

It really depends what characters they got designs for. If they did get Yellowjacket, I understand why they went with Cap as he's a much more popular character, but seeing as they've already have 2 Caps and 3 shields in this series, I think they should've went with a different character. I'd love to get Yellowjacket, maybe someday. -

What do you mean by "2 maybe-sorta spoiler sets"? Do you expect like a 3rd wave after the hypothetical 2nd wave? We can sort characters by how spoilerific they are: Not-at-all tier: Spidey (Tom), Strange, MJ, Ned, Aunt May and other supporting characters from previous movies 1st trailer tier: Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard and Sandman 2nd trailer / movie tier: Spidey (Tobey), Spidey (Andrew) and the 6th member We expect Tobey and Andrew to show up in the hypothetical 2nd wave, so I don't see why we shouldn't expect characters like Lizard, for the "spoiler" type of reason. -

Perhaps I phrased that wrong - I don't expect we'll get a set like this. Honestly, I'll be thankful if we even get more NWH sets And if we do get those rumoured 2 sets, I expect them to have reused Spider-Man costumes (Integrated and Black & Gold), Tobey and Andrew (1 in each set), and only 3-5 villains. -

Imagine if we got a set like this in the 2nd wave. I would cry out of happiness I love that this bridge is very different from the last one, but it's also consistent with its style and looks amazing. The other we could get is a smaller set with Tom (Black & Gold), Andrew, Electro and Lizard, with a big buildable Sandman. -

I dunno, I just think that it would too quickly become a Star Wars type of theme where every 2 years we'd have to get new Hagrid's Hut or Great Hall. I also think that Harry Potter is much more limited to themes like Minecraft or Star Wars. In Minecraft you can do literally anything, and Star Wars has COUNTLESS starships, speeders, walkers and locations. Also, I like that they kinda treat this theme like an event - once every year we get a huge wave of sets we all love. There might be some additional sets, like D2Cs or gimmicks, but there's only one main wave. I love it about this theme. -

I honestly think that Moments sets were a one-time gimmick, and 2 of them are already retiring in December, so I don't think they've sold well enough. I don't see a whole regular wave 2 times a year, and I think they'll stick to June. So I think that either there will be no wave at all, or another type of gimmick sets. I wouldn't be surprised if they made 10€ expansions to the D2C, like Hermione's wand, Potions Master book etc. or maybe a whole new type of gimmick sets that are just wands, like 10€ Harry, Hermione, Ron and Voldemort wands for the first wave (with their minifigs). That would be pretty dope. That's actually a pretty amazing idea -

Didn't know about Mario or Minecraft as I don't follow those themes. The Batman and Dominion are 2022 sets, sure, but not in the context that the OP was talking about. Those are leaks from last year. We don't have an official 2022 list. As for Marvel, no one ever confirmed if it's true, so I consider it no to be. I mean four 4+ sets... -

No. There's a list from weeks ago that lists only one "theatrical Marvel" set for January 2021, but no one ever confirmed the credibility of it. The set(s) are coming out in January, so we'll learn soon enough tho. -

It really depends on how Sony wants to play with the merchandise for this movie, I can see only 2 options: They reveal Tobey and Andrew in the 2nd trailer (they'd be crazy not to do that) around October / November, and they reveal merchandise shortly after. They don't do that, and we officially learn about them in the movie, and they reveal merchandise at least a few weeks after the movie comes out. It's also hard to say at what time they decided to give Lego concept arts for the spoiler sets (well, and if they did). We know that the process of designing those sets take around a year and a half. So you know, it's not only REALLY hard to guess when the sets would be released and revealed, but we don't even know if they do exist in the first place. I sure hope so, and Fulcrum gives me much hope.
