Second that. Also loving Farmers' regular 20% introductory discount on new sets. Not sure if it's a new thing, but it certainly makes early purchasing rather tempting.

I'd be wondering what constitutes a complete red Vader figure. Is the torso printed? Why test print on a red torso? Or a red head? Is it sporting a red cape perhaps? That would be entire and entirely suspect.

This is absolutely fantastic. Love it. Is there any chance we could get some more detailed photos of the construction - particularly the internal framework? I would be more than happy to make a donation to your Lego fund in exchange for enough information to copy this model.

9525 Pre Vizsla's Fighter is in the left of the SW cabinet and that photo came out a long time before this set was released, which proves you wrong. Again. Sorry.

Toyco has 20% off SW Lego including the new sets. Edit: also applies to trains and maybe some other sets. Free shipping for orders over $100.

For real? It's in space. There's no up and down. I don't think it's going to rotate just to suit the viewpoint of a particular observer. Cool model.

Farmers has got quite a few sets on discount too - many the same as the WH. Battle of Naboo, the Bounty Hunter Gunship and the Creator lighthouse are half price amongst other things. I picked up the 7930 Gunship from the WH last night. Was $50 despite being advertised at $60. Quite a cool little ship with its funky colourways and clever mechanics. Especially enjoyable if you love applying large stickers to curved surfaces like I don't.

Quick lunchtime perusal turned up a few deals. Warehouse has the T-6 Jedi Shuttle and General Grievous' Starfighter on clearance for $90 each, and the plastic A4 4-drawer storage units for $15. Toyworld has the Atlantis Portal down to $70 from $200, and Kingdom's Mill Village Raid at $100. The latter are probably local specials though.

Found a few boxes of the 2260 Ninjago Ice Dragon at a store recently. I thought we'd seen the last of these at retail in NZ, so I was pretty stoked to pick one up having passed on it for a year or so. Judging by the BL prices this could be a rather hard to get set MISB in a surprisingly short time. I find it a little odd that the resellers would miss the Ninjago dragons as a possible target given that 2260 and the Fire Temple were in the top ten best sellers for 2011 by absolute revenue. Maybe they're biding their time, or maybe Star Wars has been sucking up a lot of the attention.

You beat me to it CF. There's been a few decent deals at the WH lately. Alien Conquest mothership was half price the other day. Judging by the cleaned out shelves at my local, they are getting ready to roll out a bunch of the new sets. May pay to keep an eye out for more quick clearance deals over the coming weeks.

Pretty sure this set will be exclusive to Toyworld or Farmers. Hence, they control the release date and may delay it while shifting other stock or to coincide with a store promotion. You could try contacting their customer service to see if they have any info?

Yep. Left an autobid on it with a few minutes to go and came back later to find I'd won. Most surprising. Not actually looking to trade sorry. Harmacy's reason for selling just reminded me that I need somewhere to keep this stuff. In my local WH too. I think the price for the 8-space set was about what you'd expect for this sort of thing: freaking heaps. Nearly $40 maybe?

Mwaaa ah ha ha ha Run out of display room though. Need a new cabinet. Trades anyone?

You wouldn't happened to have sold this bley 4483 recently would you?
-
Just picked up a replica 4483 AT-AT in new greys for NZ$80 (US$65) in an auction. God bless the common AFOL desire for sets to come with boxes and instruction manuals.
-
Keep in mind that the missing bag 1 from that set contained the highly sought after minifigs and enough of the structure to leave the set unbuildable. Not many people will want that at any price. You may want to spank some of your managers while you're at it though. Just picked up 7326 Rise of the Sphinx for $35 from the local WH. Being a green sticker requiring approval, I guess it was a local special. If anyone desperately wants one at that price + postage, PM me.
-
I guess it just doesn't hurt to ask, CF. This guy didn't even give me the pleasure of haggling though - didn't even look at the box. If I was being cynical, I might wonder if he didn't know something about that missing bag. More likely he didn't give a damn about how much someone pays for a damaged item. I don't think it would affect his annual stock options bonus, so why not make someone's day? Was from a central Nth Island store.

Found a damaged Slave-1 box at the local WH yesterday. It had been stickered as missing the third instruction booklet. Pretty sure I could do without that, so I checked the rest of the contents: bags 1 to 3, sticker sheet, windscreen and both manuals all there. Took it to customer service and asked if I could make an offer. Smirking employee said, "Sure, $10". 95% discount? Okay. Chalk up another damaged item, mischievous employee discount (a DIME special?). Except for one thing: 8097 normally has two number 1 bags. Whoops. So no Boba, Bossk or Han, but I did get Boba's helmet and jetpack. And a faily nice $10 parts pack.
-
Noticed yesterday that the 20% off lego at the WH also applies to the clearance sets. That makes the Slave-1 $80 and any of the remaining Pharoahs Quest sets about half price too. Wish I'd picked up the flying mummy one when it was still available.
-
Yep, it's on $99 clearance nationwide - presumably until sold out. Now where did those 50% off clearance sales go to...
-
Nice. Cheers TD1000. I see the TIE fighter is only a hundie bucks. That's less than I expected for a set with piece and figure counts around the same as the 8088 ARC-170. And it's awesome.

The magical $399 limit for GST does actually exist in law.
-
Lots of good deals on at iQToys - if you can find something in stock.
-
Yeah, I've never encountered an offshore online retailer that claims to pay NZ GST on your behalf before. S@H is likely just matching the RRP for obvious reasons. Or maybe they do have an agreement with the tax man? There is an easy way to know: if anyone here has had a parcel from S@H held by customs pending duty and fees, then TLG is not including local taxes in their pricing. Also, a wee woohoo for good people on TM: a trader I purchased from before xmas has sent two more parcels with recovered pieces, and my $170 Dropship with AT-OT is now 99.5% complete.
