Yaar. Infiltrator is the only definite for me. Maybe the frigate. As a mid-30s recent returnee to lego I thought I'd be all over a new Falcon set, but that sloppy front end damn near kills it. I take it the Battle for Geonosis has been out for a while then? No Kmart in my backwater.

Now going for $50. And if you're in need of a few bley bits and pieces, the midi ISD is only $40 for the next week. Less than 10c/pc for Star Wars lego. Is that some kind of record? Sales don't count I guess.

What's in the Farmers sale? Can't find any reference to lego on their site.

Warehouse appear to be dumping some older sets. SP3 police station down to a ridiculous $25 (from $150+); lunar limo and undercover cruiser down to $15. There may be other stuff too - didn't have time to check.

If - as I suspect - the Warehouse uses a national pricing system, then the 8087 TIE Defender will be back down to $29 at your local today, if they have any left. I was thinking about getting another to build a different TIE with, but the number of shared parts between 8087 and the TIE fighter or interceptor is actually quite low. Still, two figs and 300-odd pieces for less than 30 bucks is pretty tempting...

This is why I find the Warehouse's pricing activity interesting. The TIE scanned at $29 for two days only. Then it went back up to over $50. I've found similar very short term sales on their sets by scanning and there is no indication anywhere I can find that they are discounted. Such a tactic doesn't really fit with the goal of moving stock as quickly as possible. Their shelves are packed with BPs and midi sets which haven't been similarly discounted as far as I've seen. Perhaps it's a sort of covert loss-leader to give customers a pleasant surprise at the checkout and a reason to return. Whatever the rationale, it works for me.

Well I certainly didn't find out the TIE Defender was going cheap by trying to buy it for the $99 label price.

Hey all I scanned through some of this thread, but couldn't see any mention of this: Have other people noticed that the Warehouse occasionally heavily discounts lego sets without any indication? Usually for just a day or two. The discounts are sometimes visible on the website, but not marked as such. I've found the largest SP3 sets for $60 and recently picked up the TIE defender for $29. Is this common knowledge amongst NZ lego fans?

Just need to convince a certain someone that I need to get one more Star Wars set because this has just been listed on a local auction site and my sons can't survive without Vader any longer. I only have the Anakin/Vader fig from Palpatine's shuttle, but I've noticed his helmet is quite loose as well...
