  1. Thanks very much guys. Glad you like it.
  2. I challenged myself to build something out of my comfort zone and ended up with this. Outside microscale, I've always struggled with sci-fi stuff, but the recent rash of excellent mechs inspired me to have a go. I feel the body is a little "meh", but I'm quite pleased with the legs - especially pleased it actually stands on those silly wee feet. Hope you like it... Flickr link
  3. Some cracking little builds in this. Here's my favourites... 8. Iron Giant - cmaddison 3pt 23. Micro USS Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge - toutouille 1pt 49. A Journey to the Center of the Earth. - Mark of Falworth 1pt
  4. Some great stuff here... 15. Chicken Moonbase - vecchiasignoraceppo 1pt 16. Froghead - Yatkuu 1pt 37. rEvolution - zane_houston 3pt
  5. Thanks for running this contest. Good fun building for it and some great entries. Here are my favourites... 6 sdrnet - 1 point 10 Righty - 1 point 18 Priovit70 - 1 point 21 Kristel - 1 point 37 Etzel - 1 point
  6. The snow on the roofs looks fantastic, and lots of other nice details. Great stuff.
  7. Another bit of Soviet Steampunk... Flickr link
  8. Cheers guys. Glad you like it.
  9. Been messing about with the idea of Soviet Steampunk - "SovPunk" if you will. Here's a little something in the theme. Quite pleased with how it came out. Flickr link
  10. Lovely stuff. The interior is great and that little vehicle is just too cute. Great work.
  11. Thanks for the comment guys. Glad you like it.
  12. I used to run pubs for a living so I am firmly of the opinion that no village can be complete without its own cosy little pub. Therefore, here's my addition to the Winter Village: The Old Ship Inn. Inside, the pub has a bar downstairs, and a restaurant upstairs. The interior elements all slide out for easy play access... A lifetime's experience in the drinks trade has taught me two sure things. First, never trust a pub that doesn't have a brass footrail... And secondly, always (ALWAYS) offer the draymen a cup of coffee when they deliver your beer... Anyway, that's The Old Ship Inn. I hope you like it. Flick link
  13. Every now and again I get an urge to build something in this series. This one was inspired by that fat jet engine piece, and then for a change I decided it should be vehicle-mounted rather than in a hangar. Hope you like it... Flickr link Link to set of previous "Secret Weapons"
  14. Nice. I love the blast from the torpedo. I wouldn't have expected those parts to look as good as they do like that.
  15. Great stuff mate. The grey jeep in particular is excellent. (Just a suggestion, but maybe the rear rollcage would look better in black than in tan?)
  16. Hello. I've not built anything for months, feels like. But the muse took me last week and this was the result. I figure this forum is the best place for this, as it is a large scale figure. If I've put it in the wrong place, my apologies. First time I've built in this sort of scale. Any feedback would be appreciated. Flickr link
  17. Thanks for the comments folks. Much appreciated. Sadly this has no interior, but I plan on building some lights and perhaps some motorised elements into it for taking to a show next year.
  18. Been building this for months now, finally got it finished. Hope you guys like it. Flickr link
  19. Hi folks... Over the last few months I've been writing a steampunk novella, which is eventually at final draft stage. I'm blogging here about the process of first-time writing and self-publishing.
  20. That Samurai mech is the first set I've been properly excited about in months. Cannot wait to get my hands on it. Great stuff from LEGO.
  21. Another microscale Star Wars scene for you... Quite pleased with how this turned out, although taking photos of black LEGO pieces is a pig. Chuffed with the reflections on the hangar floor, but less pleased with the reflections on the side walls. I really need to invest in a proper photography setup at some point. Anyway, hope you guys like it. Flickr link CuuSoo link - if you'd like to see this or some other micro scenes as official sets.
  22. Thanks for all your kind comments guys. Much appreciated. Got another one of these scenes on the go at the moment, but it'll have to wait a little for a BrickLink order to come in. MrKlaw - With MOCs like this, I tend to only post one image. Other angles or close-ups tend not to add anything with builds as simple as these. I also have a personal aversion to posting WIP images - I prefer doing a big reveal of the finished article. Thanks very much for your CuuSoo support - it is much appreciated.
  23. Can't stop building tiny Star Wars scenes at the moment. Here's a new one. Hope you guys like it. Flickr link
  24. Thanks for all your kind comments folks. Much appreciated. After a couple of requests, I've put this and my other micro Star Wars scenes into LEGO CuuSoo as a project. If any of you would like to see these MOCs maybe make it into "real sets", then visit and vote here.
  25. Another Star Wars microscale build. Endor this time. Thinking about attempting Jabba's Palace or maybe Cloud City next... Flickr link
