  1. Just built this for a competition. Thought you guys in the Star Wars forum might like it... Flickr link
  2. I liked these little guys so much, I built a minifig-scale remix of the Maintenance Bay one...
  3. Thanks for your comments folks. Much appreciated. Glad you like them.
  4. Hi folks. Thought the spacers out there might like these...
  5. I love this. Great stuff. As others have mentioned, whilst the balloons are nice it's the hull that makes this for me. Nicely detailed and great shaping.
  6. Cheers guys. Thanks for the kind comments.
  7. Hi there. Not posted anything for a while but managed to get this thing finished off this afternoon. Hope you guys like it. Flickr link
  8. Thanks for all the kind comments folks, they are much appreciated. And thanks very much for the front-page feature - that was a very pleasant surprise. I'm glad you like this. Getting the backdrop built and turning wasn't particularly frustrating. The difficulty came when trying to motorise it. I must have had to rebuild it about eight times after running it too fast and watching it fly to pieces. I finally got the gearing right and it seems to run pretty sweetly now.
  9. I have been fiddling about with this idea for months and finally got it to work. The TV features a scrolling backdrop effect to make it look like Superman is flying. Check out the video of the TV in action. You'll believe a minifig can fly. Hope you like it.
  10. Hey there, finally back online after some broadband troubles... Just wanted to say thanks to Penguin and WhiteFang for running this contest. I really enjoyed putting together my entry and was delighted to place as the standard seemed really high.
  11. 1 point each for creations... 1, 3 and 11 Great stuff guys. Good luck.
  12. I love this. Your Batman figure is excellent.
  13. The W-3 "Fieldmouse" was the first jet-powered bomber to see service with the RAF. Despite its large payload capacity and high speed, its distinctive looks and ungainly handling earned it few fans amongst British pilots. Flickr link
  14. Yeah, the grey dish is my piece in the current round of Iron Builder vs Lino. Nicer bit to use than that tan arch - I hated that piece.
  15. This is fantastic. Immediately recognisable from The Killing Joke. Love it.
  16. It's just supposed to be a suitably crazy Joker addition. A normal bank-heist wouldn't be good enough for him - he's got to add his little touches of craziness. This would be some sort of robot sentry - knocking guards and cops about the place and waiting for the Batman to appear.
  17. Thanks guys. Glad you like it.
  18. On a bit of a micro kick at the moment and thought I'd try a bit of Star Wars... Flickr link
  19. Great stuff. Love it.
  20. They came again that night, seeking to satisfy their dreadful alien hunger for meat... Flickr link
  21. Thanks mate. That's exactly the feel I was going for, a sort of art-deco dieselpunk vibe that I love in the Burton films. I wasn't sure if I'd pulled it off or not so I was delighted at your comment. Thanks everyone else too. Glad you like it.
  22. "All units, all units... Robbery in progress at Gotham City Bank... Officers down at scene..." Flickr link And here's a close-up of Joker's little friends...
  23. Got another round of Iron Builder going, thought you guys might like to see my second creation for it... Flickr link
  24. My latest little steampunk build. Planned as part of something I'm hoping to take to STEAM, it no longer fits into the larger build, so I thought I would just post it in the meantime... Flickr link
  25. Thanks for the comments folks. Glad you like it. -zenn: No, the landing gear doesn't retract. Not quite enough room in the base for the legs. BasOne: I had no idea about the LucasArts game when I built my first of this set - I just thought it was a cool idea for a building theme. Of course, as soon as people started talking about the game I went and looked for source material. Another great place is luft1946.com - a website with images of the REAL secret weapons of the Luftwaffe. Well worth a look if you're interested in this sort of stuff.
