  1. Consider Haldor pre-signed as well!
  2. It's actually quite surprising as things so small and strange could be secretly hiding a massive fortune. As much as it would be awesome, it would be deeply disrespectful, what has Heroica come to? Using memorials to those passed away as a quick way to get down off a cliff, despicable behaviour.
  3. Sorted! Other than Haldor, obviously.
  4. Willing to trade my Plaything for it! No, um, not seriously, I was joking.
  5. At the various actions and orders whizzing around, Haldor thinks it best to swing at the possessed Sir Roderick from the front row, making sure that his claws are properly strapped onto his wrists. "Oh, how I've longed for this..." "Hmph, if our esteemed leader would rather get himself in the fight, I will wait back here, to heal anyone who falls victim. Gray Wizard ignores Haldor's irritated looks. Battle Order: Cronk Tesni Arthur Alexis Triad Bal Sasha Alexis Haldor Gray
  6. I bought the Batwing set some time ago, so it included the old cowl, but when I used The Sun's LEGO promotion to get the new cowl, I was expecting to find a blue TDKR version when I purchased the Catwoman set about a month later. Since I bought the set in a shop, it was pretty much luck which one I got, but I'm happy anyway, the blue cowl looks much better in the old mould. If you really want one of the old ones, you're probably best off buying the thing individually online. The chances of finding a set from the first production wave are very slim indeed, unfortunately.
  7. Let me guess...he's got a BALD PATCH?!
  8. Haldor had to turn around once again, this was turning to an annoyance. "Fine, I appreciate that you have different views on leading a party to me, but I'm going to ignore the fact that you again started this, and walk on. It'd be great if you could learn that not everyone shares the same views as you. So please, no more of this right now, if that is fine with you. You're becoming a distraction, and as you said yourself, I've got to remain 'outside my party', whatever the hell that means." Haldor smiled sarcastically, before reaching into his pack. "Fancy a tonic, Gray Wizard? Are we all set then? Arthur, you're taking a bloody long time time to pick up that flower, do ya' need a hand?" The Nord chuckled.
  9. That nicely sorts out the artefact rule, Sandy. As for Quest #38... Wow, Haldor has never been so scrutinised. Here I was, thinking that the NPCs would be quiet and do as they are told, but this being a Zepher quest, they have very deep opinions indeed.
  10. Haldor looked up into the crumbling tower. "This is it, folks. Before we enter, I'm going to make it clear that whatever happens, we must stay together and remember what we came here for." The Shaman sighed, there were a few things that needed to be straightened out. "Alexis, you believe what you want, I shan't push you further, but make sure that you can live with yourself after you knew the truth. I was trying to open your eyes, but if you must be so stubborn, I will not try again to help you." Haldor whirled around next to the Wizardy Cleric who called himself Gray. "Wizard, do not call me 'green', because I may only be so in the sense of the word that you would like. You would have lead things a different way to how I do, but I will not distance myself from my comrades like you may have done. I am not a Warlord leading my troops into battle, I am a Party Leader, and I do not claim to be anything above the level of my friends. Do I have to remind you that it was Arthur who turned the flippant remark against my whole life? What would you have me do, stand quietly while a boy, barely a man, scrutinizes me about things of which he knows little? How would that help our efforts?" The Nord shook his head, all of that had sort of flowed out of its own accord, maybe the Wizard was right, maybe he was too 'green' to lead. If he couldn't even control himself now. But Gods, how he hated how some people seemed to use a colour as a derogatory term... "I will continue to do things my way, and if anyone has a problem, please speak up now, before we meet what is up inside there. Oh, and I appreciate the help, Cronk, but you'd best save your energy. I have plentiful ether, so I shall heal Tesni, Cronk, and myself instead."
  11. Where are you, buddy?

  12. Haldor kept up his serious expression, nudging Arthur with his elbow not all that gently. "Go along with it, I'm doing this for Althior. Let's hope she'll feel guilty, or let me be the object of her anger. You're a smart man, Arthur, but don't overthink things, chaos isn't all there is is to know, sometimes things are as complicated as you make them."
  13. Happy Birthday darkdragon! You can't beat a Skyrim cake!
  14. Brilliant, that design is bang-on. I'm glad that I purchased that metallic silver great helm now.
  15. Haldor vowed to keep silent while Arthur philosofied chaos and the witch, the Nord had to admit that this young man had knowledge far beyond his age, and should be left to discuss his area of expertise. There was, however, one thing that Haldor had to do. Taking a deep breath, he turned to Alexis. "My friend, Alexis, you have such very little trust in those who trust you. I ask, did you ever love Althior, did you ever truly care? To leave him on the first trial that crossed your paths, that doesn't tell trust and love for my ears." Alexis looked astonished, but her expression quickly turned to anger, it was all going to plan. "...and what about Ellaria, you think that she would be affable to carry on with your man while her daughter lies missing? You think that little of your friend, you think that she is that shallow? Did you ever even trust the vunerable girl to sit next to Althior without her grabbing a sneaky bit of reflected love? Is that what you think of all your friends? And of Althior, who you will not allow to invite a helpless and victimised girl to share a meal with you? Because that means they are at it behind the curtain?!" Haldor stopped for a breath, Alexis had turned a violent shade of purple now, good good. "What about me? I'm helping myself to a bit of giant Hightribe on the side am I, because I helped dear Tesni up off the damn floor?! Is that what you think of everyone?! Oh, the ignorance of youth still bloody astounds me."Haldor was on the brink of getting angry himself, he knew he had to stay calm, or all this would be worthless. He took another gulp of air. "Yes, that's it, be angry at me. I'm the villain here, hate me, why don't you? Hate me, not Althior, can't you see now that he has done nothing wrong? You made him leave, you made him feel that you had such little trust in him that he wasn't even wanted. I know, it took all of my body and mind to stop him from buggering off alltogether. Hate me, throw things at me, I don't care. Alexis, just know from this that it is you who created the end to your relationship, out of nothing, and only you can fix it."
  16. Haldor clapped Tesni on the back, and went to revtrieve some objects from the charred corpse of the angel. "Excellent work there, we certainly showed that thing then error of its ways, whatever the hell it was. Let's see here, some more potions, and a couple of bombs, good, these should help us out. Help yourselves." The Nord then strolled on over to see the small creature known as Bal, to fill him on on what was happening. "Hello there, friend, I trust you do not need healing? We are sent from Heroica hall, to find you and uncover the truth of this place. Sasha, Triad, and the Gray Wizard are already with us. We found you here after you were betrayed by your allies...seven years after." Loot! 17. Really nice figures, your detail is excellent. I love the chainmail especially. I might have to print off a couple of your decals myself. [historynerd]But, as Axis600, I think you're a little mixed up with the uniform. The Templar cross is a plain red one with inverted points at the end, whereas your emblem was used by the Hospitaller Knights albeit in white on a black surcoat.[/historynerd] I don't mean to be a smartarse, just thought that I'd point it out. It doesn't detract from the overall look at all.
  18. "Seems like I still have use for the old gift, don't let him hit you like that again Tesni." Placing a friendly hand on Tesni's broad shoulder, Haldor hardened his expression and turned to Alexis, speaking with a cold tone. "Alexis, maybe you should keep cautious, wouldn't want you to get hurt now, would we?" The Nord said nothing more, he would have to keep his feelings at bay. 19. I'm speaking from an outside view here, but wouldn't it make more much sense, and a lot more fairness, to give everyone not knocked out in the battle as a whole the same experiance? Darkdragon's group get double, because they finished first, how is that fair?
  20. Haldor shook himself on the spot energetically, that distinct feeling of strength and joy never got old. He sprinted forward and jumped up onto Aura B, from the front row, making use of his height and muscle to claw at his foe. "If we can just get rid of this one quickly, we'll have this blasted coward at our mercy. Teach him a lesson to get in the way." Battle Order: Cronk Arthur Alexis Sasha Alexis Tesni Haldor
  21. Yay, Maurice is back! With a friend. I can't wait to see more of him, with his very strong views, he should certainly meet up with Pretzel. Actually, maybe not.
  22. Haldor reeled from the impact, covered in dust and spitting blood, he should have seen that coming. Coughing visciously, the Nord managed to weakly clamber to his feet, these creatures hit harder than they used to. "Ugh, that wasn't very pleasant. I'll try and patch myself up best I can from back here, keep yourselves up off the floor for me, will you?" Battle Order: Cronk Tesni Arthur Alexis Alexis Sasha Haldor
  23. It's not just the fact that the war was recent that LEGO won't be producing sets. Maybe you should read the first page of this topic, and you'll see that the issue is so much more than that. You may not see a problem with 'tanks and guns and stuff', but there is a massive difference between accuarate war models of vehicles from those at Airfix being acceptable for children on an educational basis, and LEGO 'build-your-own-crocodile tank' playing on the carpet with Nazis. Just because the bloody events of World War Two will be over one hundred years old by then, it doesn't mean that it is any more suitable for children's building toys. People may no longer be insulted by these toys, but much more disappointed at LEGO for showing children that these happenings are okay to trivialise and that nothing was ever really wrong with them.
  24. The Fantome was a boss battle to climax to a quest, whereas yours was literally the first few battles.
  25. Having read through the whole thing, I don't know what to think. For what was essentially just two two enemy battles, I was surprised at the difficulty that the heroes faced. There have been very many tough battles in quests accross Heroica, but I'm not so sure that I'm keen on setting the first fights as nearly unwinabble as they were. I like to see a challenge now and then, but maybe the balance was a little unfair for the heroes in a few places. The two battles in themselves were something that I'd expect to see far later in an escapade, certainly so if battles were all that the heroes were going to be doing. For a start, what was with the no-flee rule? I think that you made a quite unbalanced rule there, as you allowed the party to instantly fail the whole quest on the second battle, even though the rules state that they should have been allowed to retreat and heal themselves. Also, perhaps Dini could have been so kind to have given the fallen heroes at least something to compensate them, I know that I would feel irritated having spent weeks on a battle-only quest, just to fail, and only have something so meager as half a level of experiance for my troubles. I don't mean to bash you at all, Endgame, but it seems such as shame for a nice quest to end so very suddenly, when things could have been done to give them more of a chance.
