  1. Yes, they fit snug as a bug in a rug with Duplo! I added the price in now, it was 29. Thanks Kiel.
  2. The Italian toy company Androni Giocattoli has a range of plastic toys called UNICO Plus (very much the same as TLG's Duplo Sets), and in conjunction with SANRIO has brought out a new range of Hello Kitty sets. I picked up the ice cream shop set and I decided to review it for anyone who is interested in sets for the younger kids, or just loves Hello Kitty. Apart from the slight disappointment with a sticker sheet, I was really impressed with the quality of this brand. Read on to find out about all that. Brand: UNICO Plus Set number: 8654 Price: AUD $29.00 Age Range: 1 1/2 - 5 years Pieces: 43 Maxifigs: 3 Box: The front cover of the box The back of the box. No little baggies, the contents just spewed out of the box. I guess that is a good thing as it helps save the planet and on an age range this low, bags are a big choking hazard. The box was full of little bits of cardboard too, made the pieces a little dusty, nothing too bad, but it might show up in some of the photos. Contents: The contents unceremoniously dumped out. The colours are fantastic. And there are some really cute pieces, like the chairs and the 2x2 tiles. I haven't come across those in Duplo sets. A Dreaded Sticker Sheet is in a sorry state, none of them were peeling off which is a plus. The paper insert, I thought it might be instructions but it was just an advertisement. So I just had built the shop from the pictures on the box. That was easy to do, but I think a 3 - 5 year old might need something more. The Characters: A front view of the characters, Cathy Bunny, Hello Kitty and Tippy Bear Side view of the characters. Back view, including a little back printing detail. Here is a close up shot of the Sanrio trademark. The Set: The set without stickers is cute, but a little boring. You get the Ice Cream Shop, 1 umbrella, 2 tables, 4 chairs and the Ice Cream truck. The set with stickers, is just adorable. My 3 year old absolutely loves this set and I am happy to add some pretty colours to her ever-expanding Duplo collection. There are stickers for practically everywhere, on the umbrella, all over the truck and all over the shop. The plastic is a good thick kind, with bright, even colours. None of this semi-transparent thin-edged Mega Block type action. Stickers: I thought some of you might apprecieate a Macro shot of how the stickers look. They are adorable pictures, but are not of the best quality, and the colour match is not too great, but a kid of 1 1/2 - 5 years will not notice that at all. The pink stickers. The white stickers. Final thoughts: I love this set, the plastic is good quality, the characters are adorable and it fits well with Duplo. I'd recommend this set or any others in the range to anyone considering it. Grazie per il vostro tempo!
  3. Heeeeey, and look who was hiding amongst my LEGO when I was a child in the 80's. But I do not still have possession of these guys.
  4. Awwww. How cute would that look in a snow globe. Superb idea lisqr, and superbly pulled off. It is instantly recognisable. Is it possible to get 1x2 plates in trans green for above the door? That would be the icing on the proverbial cake.

    Post your own art

There is some seriously impressive stuff in here. I have dabbled a little with a paintbrush in my time. I went through a very Art Nouveau stage and painted a few canvases (here is one). And one of my favourites to date is an attempt at Pop Art
  6. My sister send me a picture of the minifgures like this. I didn't ask her to buy me one, but if I was there myself, I would have gotten one just for the novelty. I'd say the same if they started selling LEGO in such a way here in Aus. I'd do it once (regardless of the price). But only for the novelty of getting it in a different kind of package, and in a different kind of way.
  7. [refreshingly short] Seeing as a certain person with "moar powah" has visited my page, that would be my guess as to whodunnit. But the why, simple. I chopped a fair chunk off my username. It is pretty funny actually, as I am kinda short IRL, but got to pay someone else out just today because I am about 1/2 a foot taller than them. Yays!
  8. Happy Birthday sAmee darling! Have a small party snack.

  20. That is quite an interesting thought about the colours Kalle! One measly rose for Mother's Day? You really must not think your mother's are the best in the world. Now this... is more like it! But I do not have an LDD file for it as a) it is not mine and b) I'm not even sure it could be done.
  21. Goodness me, I haven't posted in here since 2007 when I had cannibalistic goldfish. I recently got 2 new pet chickens, meet Ponyo and Jiji. Only another couple of months till I get eggs! Woo.
  22. Wooooah! Now you are getting all freaky with technical stuff. That looks nice with the new skin though.

    Help me,please!

As Force is only 24 years old now, it seems unlikely that he meant he has had a dark age of 23 years. Hi Force, Welcome to Eurobricks. If you look at the LEGO Town forum you can see many different houses and cars that you can take inspiration from, and you can ask further questions in each topic you view if you wish. If you are looking for original creations made by Eurobricks members look for topics starting with "MOC - ". If you are looking for official LEGO sets look for topics starting with "REVIEW: " Hope that helps a little.
  24. Um, I feel a little silly asking this, because I am sure I have missed something. But what is this "customisation" all about?
  25. Just edit inside the quotes, by highlighting and pressing backspace on the parts of the quote that you do not want to show. Like I have just done to your post. ^^^ Sometimes you see *snip*, that is just to show that you have cut out part of the quote to only reply to the relevant parts. This is also great to cut out quoting photos and big sections of text when they have only just been posted.
