  2. Not really funny cralegboy. Hinck still has 2 hours until the 24 hour mark. Maybe he is busy... you know... running Our Lord and Savior, the almighty Eurobricks!
  3. Stop already with the twilight stuff. It is totally off topic. TLG will never make it and we don't want them to. Move on and stop desecrating this beautiful site. I love the Rapunzel style idea. As much as some girls don't like soft girls in need of rescuing characters. I think that would work really well. Princes, Princess and some cute mascots.

    Bart

Welcome to EB Bart! Please take a moment to read the sites guidelines, and always make an effort to use correct capitals and punctuation, it will make it easier for everyone to read/translate. Are you looking forward to the new Pirates of the Caribbean sets, or do you like the Classic Pirates best?
  5. Welcome to Eurobricks Legoless. Funny choice of name! I hope you can get your hands on some LEGO soon. And good luck with the job search.
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks! Glad to see another new member that loves LEGO(s)! Please take a moment to read the guidelines!
  7. You really do have a marvelous collection!
  8. I just think that the actual wording (Maybe stick to Suicide Bomber, and leave out the N.... word?) can be changed not the whole entry. This is just my personal opinion, but I think it is better to be on the safe side of inappropriate and keep the funniness. Don't you? I think it will be very hard to keep this competition on track without getting someone offended, even if they have been warned it is not for the faint-hearted.
  9. Did you by any chance make these reviews in a hurry? Although I am very happy to see any Fabuland reviews, it is a little sad to see such pristine fabulous Fabuland sets being reviewed with such blurry pictures.
  10. I would just like to say also... there is a fine line between funny and over-the-top. If I might say lisqr, you might wish to consider changing the wording around 2 of your entries. This contest is very very fun and funny and there is soooooo much we can touch on without getting into religion and politics, they are both subjects the Eurobricks does not encourage the discussion of.
  11. Happy Birthday Kim!
  12. This made me think of a funny little scene, so I made it.
  13. Does that mean I have to remove my last picture? I thought it was necessary to use a 3-in-1 picture there to show the functionality. Otherwise I would have to have made a video, but it is not that much of a good function to warrant it.
  14. Okay, so I am bumping an old topic because I searched and couldn't find if there was a Petition for Fabuland's Return, or a real reason saying why TLG will never make it again. And if they might, why aren't we fighting harder for it? I think it would do very well with kids of today, there is that gap in the market when kids think they are too big for Duplo but aren't quite interested in just System LEGO yet and still want to play with something cute. Kids of this age LOVE animals, and what is better than cute Fabuland animals to fill that gap again? In stores right now there is the Sylvanian Families that share that cute animal gap, but although they are cute, they are not compatible with all the toys that kids would have at home, like Duplo and LEGO. If that was the competition that TLG were up against for that market. That and things like Little Pet Shop and such, those just look like cheap rubbish in comparison, when you think of how Fabuland bridges the age gap and can fix with what the kids are playing with from a very young age right up until they don't want to play with toys anymore. Be it at age 13 or 130. I have to disagree here completely! My daughter (3) LOVES Fabuland! And that is not because of me. She found a few at my Auntie's house and inadvertently stole them. So I got her some more and she plays with them just as much as her Duplo. Her cousin who is 5 also loved to play with them when he comes over to visit, I can't say my experience has spread much further than that, but it is a start!
  15. After 2 warnings the "Any football fans out there? Not the american kind;)" topic was not differing from this topic so I have merged them. Play on!

    Running

I'm really not sure that this thread is going anywhere. Just about everyone can move there legs really fast if they want to , but if you are serious about discussing Marathons and such there are more appropriate places to do that. For instance: http://www.athleticrunner.com/ http://www.theforumfinder.org/blog/running-forums/3/ http://www.runnersworld.com/community/forums/index.jsp Thanks!
  17. Yeah, like you, I had been working on my entry today and was about to post when I saw yours... some are pretty much similar I had a few more ideas (flickr) but wanted to stick with these ones. It's all good. Inappropriate minds think alike
  18. Thanks again Vindice. I am pretty fond of this scene myself. I do not usually put so much effort into anything I create, but this competition has really caught my interest. I have had so much fun adding a whole bunch more stuff to this scene after I took the last pictures. To have it a but more like in the books description. And I think I will keep adding to it if I can bear to spare the pieces. I just might end up adding in that Post Office and such!
  19. This is a very ingenious build and looks great. Really well done on the snow and surrounds. It is very funny to see Harry with a pirate torso, and I like the change of hair you gave him, I think that it suits the 'movie Harry' much better. I guess TLG didn't want to change it seeing Ron has that mold now. Best of luck!
  20. So true, actually 2 of my sisters have asked for different Figs from Series 3. One a Zombie/Mummy and one a Sumo and neither of them are into LEGO in the slightest.
  21. Being a girl myself and having a three year old daughter I can tell you a thing or two about what we like. I bought that Pink tub myself, just to add a few pink pieces to my collection, as I hadn't got any from any sets I had bought. But I love minifigs. I love to mix and match and create a Fig that looks like everyone I know. I have noticed while feeling up the Collectible Minifigs packs in different stores that there are a lot of little girls picking these up too. So I guess I am not the only one. I am very much looking forward to one of the POTC sets, because of the 2 new Mermaids. Not for me, but so I can make my daughter some Little Mermaid MOCs to play with. Sure I get heaps of enjoyment out of that too. My daughter loves the animals. I think she would love a zoo theme. I have separated all my small and large animals from the rest of my pieces and she loves to play with them. All the frogs and spiders and parrots and owl.... Then the horses and pigs and ostriches too. She always makes cages (just a square or rectangle shape out of bricks on a base) and then plays with them. So I think a zoo set or range of animals, African, Australian whatever would really be appreciated by us both. She has been having a lot of fun lately with the Santa and little train from the 2010 City Advent Calendar too. Again putting the small animals like kittens in the carriages and flying it around. I was having a conversation just yesterday with a friend who has a 5 year old daughter, and she wants to buy her more LEGO but looked around and it all seemed so Boy oriented to her. I told her to get the Pink Bucket as she was complaining that all her pieces are only Red, Blue, Yellow and White. There is definitely people out there wanting more Girly themes, I hope TLG picks that up really soon. But most of all, to get girls of a great range of ages to buy a LEGO product. I think the best best best thing TLG could do, is BRING BACK FABULAND!!!!!!
  22. Mine is fixed and within the piece count now. Thanks for the heads up Taz. I wouldn't want to be looked upon as a big fat cheater!
  23. I did a piece count and realised that I could make a few changes, so I added those white plates to cover the ugly gaps between the plate. Before I added the plates and changed the tree my count was at... Graves, figs and the tree 105 Right fence and trapping 43 Left Fence and trappings 46 Christmas lights and posts90 Statue 39 Church 457 Snow and Base plates 91 Totaling at 871, so I didn't count the added plates, but at a guess I'd say there is around 50 tops and that's being generous. So I guess that means I am still under. Yay!
  24. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one or two of those Daleks. And I definitely want a sonic screwdriver. I do so hope it is compatible. Because if it is, I will definitely be mixing it with my LEGO. Of cousre! Why the hell not. Does anyone else find it funny that is it blind packed?
  25. Very nice work Matn! Love the stone work and the tilting trees are super! A cute little cabin in the woods, makes me want to go on a Winter Break. It does look well below 1000, well well below. I was really surprised when making mine just how far 1000 pieces can spread.
