I went to Myer, Toyworld and Kmart yesterday, Myer had 20% off lego (one day only) nothing AT ALL that I would have bought, no pirates no harry potter, no city/farm... . Toyworld had NOTHING either, Kmart had one Farm set $135 AU and then nothing.... made me very depressed actually. -
England Ireland Scotland Wales, inside, outside, puppy dogs tails. My great great great grandparents on my Dad's side were sent to Australia from Ireland for stealing! and on my Mum's side they are German.

I like the business cards with the lego minifigs that look like you. I have been thinking someone should do family portraits in Lego minifigs... (unless it's already been done ) they can start with me and Cutlass_amelie.

They think he's dead so get rid of all his things, then they find him but he doesn't remember them... some psycho guy had told him he is his son and he lives with him for long enough to not want to go back to his (strangers) family. Finally, he accepts the truth but still doesn't remember anyone. He hates all his old friends and is still mean to everyone... last I saw he was having a punch up with Ringo. Then I stopped watching.

Haha! I can't believe you watch that utter bollocks. IMHO, it has gone so far beyond... beyond... just beyond. I would have maybe watched it on the odd occasion a few years ago, but not now. I want to scream with every new hussy they introduce and it seems that every second someone it getting pregnant or dying. Bah! It's all the same.

I recently watched Slumdog Millionaire (for a new movie) but most recently watched Howl's Moving Castle (for the fifty millionth time) I'd give Slumdog 5 stars, I thought it was brill, funny and very clever... but I can't usually watch a whole movie in one sitting as I have the attention span of my 1 year old. So I have been watching tv shows. Latest favourites are SKINS (UK) and The Mighty Boosh (UK), so so so so brilliant. Incidentally the dude from Slumdog is in Skins seasons 1 and 2.

There is a Mr Toys Toyworld in my humble village, I can check the junk mail and let you know if any sweet bargains are going down. I thought it was Toy'R'Us that were rare not Toyworld. -
OMG! You sound just like my husband. He often wears his Morning Suit, Graduation Gown or some such fanciness to the most inappropriate places. He also only uses shirt with french cuffs so he can wear one of his many cufflinks. And his manner of speaking is QUITE QUITE specific, when he gets very mad he tends to sound British.

My thoughts exactly... why oh why haven't I got into CASTLE earlier? Love it, love the review. Love how the ladies are taller than the men, love the fish in the bucket -
Um... I'll let you guess which I prefer.

Where abouts in the CBD? I had no idea. What does education store even mean? -
Welcome .... your avatar seems... well... very well equipped.

Yes that kind of thing... that's just like the one I found... but in a more useable format... like black on white background so all I have to do is print and cut out and voila I have my very own stencil.

I am looking for some really good (basic and clear) lego stencils to put on clothing.. ie with fabric paint. I would love it if anyone could help me. I have found one that I like... One from spraypaintstencils dotcom... but I would really love a lady, pirate or child one... I am no where nearly artistic enough to create one myself. Therefore I was hoping someone would be able to help me out or point me in the right direction. Cheers, IZ

Who is with me... to try to petition for a LEGO store in Australia. Hehe. (not that it is at all possible of that I would know how ) I'd love to be the first to open a LEGO franchise down under. 20% discount to EB memebers. HA HA HA. -
Sorry to rehash old posts but I was just going thru all the old stuff in community and saw this. I couldn't just leave it without saying thanks to all you lovely people who wished me a happy birthday. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Baby is (and was) doing very well. She was 5 months old at the time. (It's nearly my Birthday again, Hehe!) Amelie on my Birthday Me on my birthday... is that Copmike in the car?

That is so true... you can either laugh or cry.... and alot of people would rather laugh as it is easier for them to deal with their feelings that way. The whole 'rebuilt' thing can be a positive message but i think by adding LEGO into the mix does cheapen it.

I'd say that is the one... she mentioned it in her memoirs a little while ago, but didn't describe it in full. That is the most famous test screen isn't it?
-
That is very cute. My mother remembers the Indian Head test screen from when she was a child in the 1950's. (yikes )

Hinkie has mine... I'd love to be in on this if you'd let me.

I think that the first three pictures are quite funny and very effective. It is just another clever and funny way of saying that there is better things to do than watch tv when there is SOOOO much crap on it constantly. Even in the early hours of the evening when all the little kiddies are still wide awake. I do not want cutlass_Amelie growing up watching all those show with that kind of crap in it. There is always several shows a night about murders, rape, drugs... etc etc etc. I also think that the 'fake' lego adds would be more effective if they had kids getting up to no good with the same slogan. To really strike a note in parents hearts about better alternative for their kids time. Three cheers for the good old days when there was only a test screen on television after 8pm (?)

It's a pity you are having trouble ... I just signed up and it worked immediately. The site looks really good. It will be awesome to get in touch with people who have local knowledge about what is available and cheap right here on our own lovely shores.
