  1. She definitely has had alot of 'work' done. I'd say she is based on the tw@t that designed the packaging. I love how they have drawn helmets and hair on the basic head shape. It makes them look severely disabled.
  2. Bahaha! Now that really is a BOOM Box, not many things I can think of to do with that though. Beside the obvious.
  3. Yeah I LikePi that is 1 cm deep / thick / high / downward / Yes the cookies taste great and I would reccommend for the price as it is just another way of showing your love for Lego! Leave no aspect of your life untouched by Lego! (ooh! that's good I might use that )
  4. Edited first post!

OMG!!!!!! That is pure genius! Why didn't I think of that... Oooohhh! Hooray for YOU!!!! I am so getting to work! I'll figure something out for sure! To Be Continued....
  6. Household Accessories: Lego Minifig Cookie Cutter Price: $9.99 AUD Color: RED They are approx 1 cm deep and 12 cm tall. YUCK! I'm pretty sure they didn't actually ice these but just drew it on the packaging with paint or photoshop. Shameful! The packaging these come in is SOOO ugly , extremely $2 Shop style, and the picture of how to decorate are absolutely appalling. I get that these sorts of things are meant for a slightly younger market than me but seriously! LEGO, you should be ashamed. (Rant over) The plastic they are made of is slightly flexible, so if you squish it inwards you can make a really skinny minfig cookie, outwards a fat one, etc etc. The shortbread recipe I used doesn't rise very much at all therefore they kept their shape pretty well but you'd have to be very careful as you can easily lose the hands and head shape when the mixture rises. SHORTBREAD RECIPE: 250 Grams Softened Butter 1 Cup Icing Sugar 1 Cup Cornflour or Riceflour 2 Cups Plain Flour Pre-Heat Oven to 160 degrees Sift Flours and Icing sugar together into a bowl, add softened butter and mix together when a dough is formed place mixture on a lightly floured surface Flatten with a rolling pin to about 1.5 cm thick The mixture should hold together, but still be a little crumbly around the edges Cut out your Lego minifigs with your Trademark Lego Cutters and place on a greased baking tray Place in your pre-heated oven and bake for about 20 - 25 minutes or until a light golden color Ice (or NOT) and enjoy! Hooray! Cookies for all. I didn't even try to ice them (for fear of them looking like the ones on the packaging) and also because I think you get a better look at the shape with them being plain. Plus who puts icing on shortbread right?
  7. Make the Doctor leaving Rose the second time at Bad Wolf Bay... with two doctors, (Human and Time Lord) Rose, Donna ... etc etc etc. Same Same but better!
  8. Household accessories: The Pro-Builder Toolbox Price: $34.99 AUD (30 on top of that for postage) Color: RED Dimensions: 32 cm long, 21 1/2 cm wide, 12 cm tall, 6 1/2 cm studs, Top Compartments are 10 cm by 10 cm, the two next to the handle are 9 cm by 10 cm, The top compartments are 4 cm deep The bottom compartments are 10 cm by 10 cm and 6 cm deep. So it is as exciting for you as it is for me... I'll share this experience with you as I experienced it myself. The parcel as handed to me by Toodles... with a premature Happy Birthday! (So, Premature Happy Birthday Everyone) Then I opened the box, Hooray! Plastic pillow packaging. Packaging.... No Packaging Open it up... 2 separate layers of 6 compartments. The lid and middle compartment lifts off over the handle. 6 round compartments on top that lift off for more storage... Handle is big enough (just) for adults. This tool box is a lovely color, very sturdy plastic and has large and deep compartments for whatever you wish to store in it... Although it is called a Tool Box I am pretty sure that only a Lego hammer or spanner would fit in it. I would have like to have seen maybe only two or four compartment on one of the levels... making them longer and easier to fit some longer pieces of Lego or sewing scissors or a real hammer in there. All the sections just lift off, there is no clips or screw on but it is still quite secure. Now what I used mine for... not Lego sadly, but I desperately need a sewing box and when I saw this I just had to have it. Now I am all tidy, minus the 6 pairs of other scissors that don't fit in. The END!

I'll give you a clue! If any of you actually read what I say... especially svelte_corps... then you would win.
  12. What is all this blacking out business???? A VCR? Are you serious? A video player! What they used back in the 90's.. hahaha... Watch ! It will be good for your personal education.
  13. Yes I guess I did mean the "1x2 tape real" I got mine recently in the city minifig set... I was pretty sure it's not the first time being printed but don't know how old it is. But I still thought it would be cool to see other peoples ideas as what they have been using it for. As for that actual whole stereo piece.... WHERE did you get that? What do you mean about AFOL's and TFOL's? As to their knowledge of old Lego??? Because I am just about 24 years old (That counts as an adult right?) but know very little about what was in Lego sets from the mid nineties till a few years ago... and only know about what sets we actually had before then.
  14. 1: 80's BOOM BOX 2: CAMCORDER 3: POLICE INTERVIEWS 4: REPORTER'S VOICE RECORDER 5: RECORDING STUDIO

    MOC: Pool Table

Just playing around with some pieces and came up with this pool (snooker) table... might look better with green SNOT but I don't have the right size.
  16. I like Men at Work too! Although that particular clip off youtube is rather frightening . Haha. Mmmmm, that was definitely the song she was blaring.... "La laaa laaaah Land down under!"

Oooh! Thanks CopMike! (Sorry for the late reply, I missed this one somehow) I photoshopped my one into a girl myself. Turned out... well I'll let ya'll decide. Thank You so much for finding those for me.... Love the coppa and skellie. haha. Will use them asap. EDIT: Insert pictures
  18. Gorgeous isn't she (they) It's my birthday on Monday! HEHEHE! You were just getting early right?
  19. Why, Thank You Zorbas... if I manage to do the 300th review I'll definitely give you whatever numbers you want. Although based on my CRAZY number voting... I'd say this was either carefully planned genius or a once off fluke. I'm pretty sure it wasn't iron maiden playing... then Mr Business Man wouldn't have dropped his spare parts when it got loud... he would have thrown them down deliberately and gone into a head banging frenzy. I'd have it was something retro and extremely grating to the nerves like.... ummm.... Madonna, or the Monkeys, or something starting with M.
  20. Congratulations Peppermint M Now may we know the crazy magic formula for this crazy number voting crazy competition?
  21. Thanks everyone for their kind comments... and congratulationss to the 199 other reviewers who made this possible. Thanks to my Mum and my Dad without them.... Oh! Hang on, that's my OSCAR speech. Oops! This is a picture of a light from Sydney... definitely orange. Hehe! Yeah that was $14.99 AU, not a good price at all. It is about $3-4 dollars cheaper in Kmart but I am an impulse buyer. Silly really! Haha! I guess that part of the story comes from my Dad, the only line he'll still be able to mutter when he is old and senile is... "Hey Rob, is the kettle on?"

  23. Congratulations Cutlass_IZ! Your review is the 200th in Trains & Town! Make sure you check out EB's Front Page. -TheBrickster ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Set: 8401 Price: $14.99 Minifigs : 4 Other: 1 BOOM box, 1 Fire Hydrant, 1 Traffic light, 1 Bench, 3 street signs, 1 trolley and 1 parcel, 1 megaphone, 1 walkie talkie, 1 yellow cup, 1 briefcase. The standard red trolley is the same as in many other sets, useful but common... however the parcel is new to me, nice size and shape, brown paper package tied up with string... um, yeah! I like the box. The park bench/Bus stop bench is very nice, simple but very effective, with a reclining back. I guess that comes in hand when some punk kids come along and try to kick the back off. The 1980's BOOM box is cute, very retro and reminiscent of earlier sets from TLG, a good piece to use in other situations... Police interviews... Recording studio... for reporters... etc. The fire hydrant seems a little 4+ to me, but I like it none the less. This set contains one set of traffic lights with red yellow and green lights. I don't know about other countries but in Australia we have ORANGE as the middle/caution/amber light, so I immediately fixed this oversight using a piece from the Gryffindor fireplace. (doesn't it look much better?) I must say the design on the female minifigs sleeveless shirt is also reminiscent of the 80's and I find it and all its silver shining glory to be absolutely disgusting, nice blond hair though so she is not all bad. So... this is how the story begins... One day, Blond Lady is waiting for a bus whilst listening to her boom box , and Business Man is crossing the road, Mr Plod is walking the beat in the background and Mr Delivery Guy is drinking some coffee while doing the post. Oooh I love this song, I might just turn it up... La La LAAAAAAuuuaaah Just walking the beat, just walking the beat I am in such a hurry... rush rush. Hmmm, coffee good. I might just turn this up really loud.... La LA LAAAUUHHH!!! WOAH, that's loud. Heyyy, where did coffee go? The loud music made me drop my briefcase, now all my spare parts have fallen out. Uh oh! I see trouble a brewing. Hey lady, turn that down, you made me drop my spare parts Don't make me come over there. Ugh, no coffee. Just walking the beat, just walking the beat Damn spare parts, how did I have all these in here? Hey lady, I've got no coffee! Your point being? You're a woman aren't you? And that is just when 'click' someone took the cover shot for the box. Aren't we all glad it wasn't taken a few seconds later... or else is might turn out like.... Overall it's a good little set and lots of fun. I'm glad a bought it.
