Just perfect! It has that "Awww" factor that the official sets give me. Beautiful colour scheme. Really well done, and brilliant photography too. Also in Flickr if you view all sizes, then chose the medium. Right click on the medium picture and copy the link, then paste it in here, it will be a good size for viewing and you can use up to 5 photos for this entry.

I just took 2 seconds with my camera, a piece of my daughters dark blue cardboard, and a Duracell torch and came up with this photo. A mockery of a Motivational Poster I liked, redone in LEGO.

Oh that is weird! I asked my local yesterday and she said sometime in January! I do hope that they come earlier! -
This is so awesome! That TARDIS (slightly too tall or not) is brilliant! I want one! I was over at my mother's house yesterday and called her in to look at these pictures and she said "WOW!!!! You can buy Doctor Who LEGO now?" And got all excited. Haha! I guess you can count her as another name for the petition!

Welcome to Eurobricks! That was a very nice introduction. You have got some very nice old sets there. If it was me... I'd put them aside and just use any new sets I got. Just incase... you might want to sell them later on a buy many new sets! Good shiny new pieces are the best! Nothing like that feeling! Hehe!

This is a great scene! I was really disappointed that they didn't really have this part in the movie, even when they walked right by. But as this is based on the books anyhow it is irrelevant. Really good job on your MOC! I love the parts usage for the baby. If I'd change anything it would be to add some smaller white pieces, 1x1/1x2 plates, tiles, or slopes around the place to build the snow up gently. And put some older looking hair on James, so he is not confused with Harry for those who are not familiar with HP!

Congrats to prateek, EB's first Arch Duke!

How about we go back to building with our LEGO and stop putting so much emphasis on post count and what you may or may not be called in 6 - 12 months if you are still around and are posting as much. It is NOT important and it is NOT what Eurobricks is meant to be about. This thread has turned into talk about ranks and there is already a thread about that. -
The reason I mentioned I was from Australia was because you mention I was from England! (see below) But I can see that it would be a common mistake for the slightly less uneducated people of the world to make. Just like Swiss and Swedish people always get confused. One has cheese and milkmaids, the other IKEA and blonde babes! Too easy! Hahaha!

Have you ever been to a Legoland? They ARE Action Theme Parks. Roller coaster, other cool rides, the whole works! But with one opening in Malaysia in 2013, I think that any tourist from countries closer to there would go there unless they were specifically coming here for other reasons. Also, Legoland Theme Parks all over Europe have severe weather conditions also. Snow and such. I do not think that the weather in Australia would really be a factor in whether or not to build one here. I went into a few stores today and nowhere in my town has ANY HP sets left! And so close to Christmas. Has everywhere under catered? -
Wow! Exceptional work as always. I was hoping someone would do Azkaban, but seriously couldn't think of how to keep it under 1000 pieces. Just beautiful.

I said year 9 or 10, not 10 year olds. That really is too young. Don't be personally offended. I was obviously still too young at that age to have read it. I loved English class and loved reading, but that just didn't appeal to me at all. I am from Australia too by the way! ;)

And don't you know it!

Renamed to help out? My first thought was, "What the hell is a Period Set?"

I am calm, as calm as a tranquil lake. If I came across as otherwise, it was not my intention. Thanks for your feedback. I chose to have the bright orange background for Ron deliberately, because of his hair! But something happened with the lighting and reflection and such that I can completely agree with you. It is over-powering. As for Harry's face being out of focus in the second picture. That was what I was looking for, like he is there and you can tell it is him, but the picture is all about Buckbeak. Whether it looks any good to anyone else or not... is another thing. Haha.

They're not half bad? Is that meant to be a compliment or constructive criticism? If you think that someone's photos (in this case mine) are not good, or could improve in some way tell them (me)! Please! There is nothing wrong with honesty, if you think the colours are off, or they aren't centered nicely, or maybe the angles are bad... whatever. Please try to make some kind of an opinion. There is a line between being outright mean and giving advice, but it is not such a fine line that you need to make comments such as "They're not half bad!" Please tell me what you really think. This is a thread about photography, and if you want to see people posting more photos and getting better at taking them then you need to speak up. There is no point in having this entire thread fill up with photos that are slightly blurry and/or have bad lighting. Nobody wants to look at that. And if anyone posts a... lets be real here people... a crappy photo and someone replies "That is a bit blurry, but I still like it. Thanks!" or something, then they will never know that they need to try that much harder.

Isn't Animal Farm that abominably boring Orwell novel they force children to read in English Class in year 9 or 10? I am reading Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, it is thrilling stuff. I love reading the book after I see the movie, then I have the actors faces in my head and I do not get so cross when they leave half of the book out of the movie. *CoughHarryPotterCough*.

Oooooh that Sort'n'Store is awesome. Why am I such a sucker for LEGO merchandise. How much did you pay for it? Not that Amazon price of $57 something? -
Please everyone posting in this thread, remember to keep all comments about Politics and Religion far, far, far away from Eurobricks. Thank You!

I am by no means a Pro at photography and my camera suuuuuuucks! But as it is Harry Potter month, I will add one or two pictures in here.

Happy Birthday Skalldyr!

I really like your "Funnies" Cloney! They are very clever and as always your photography is brilliant! Something to look up to. Hope you don't mind if I gate crash your party with just one picture. I was sorting out some figs today and noticed something that I thought was funny.

Very well done on this review Pretzel. I am happy to see those cute little short legs in Dark Red. Has that been done before? Those crabby hands are adorable. This set looks much much better set up than on the box. So many great pieces that I didn't notice from just seeing the cover shots. Not sure if I will ever get to buy this set, but it is now on my wish list!
