  1. Thanks for the great pictorial review, 'The Brickster'. It definately looks like an interesting model. Really great, TLC has added minifigs to the Creator houses, as they brigde the gap between city and modular. I really like the oven in the house. It's really a nice little feature. I just wonder, how the light brick is attached inside the tower. Does it rotate together with the slopes... or?
  2. Maybe we see the size of this boat differently? I don't see as "quite small". I see it more like this, maybe a little smaller, like this one. I would say, they have space for standing in the cabin. But hey, I'm not an expert on boats either.
  3. Thanks for the review, Brickster. One thing, you didn't point out on this model, is that the cabin underneath the deck is too low for a standing minifig. It's only four bricks high, it should have been at least five. Luckily, it's not more than it should be able to MOD it. Besides that, as 5150 Lego also wrote, there is no interior inside (probably because of the low height of the cabin). But you're right that this model (and others) has/have some classic feel which is really nice (especially for us who grew up with the classic town ). This model would be a nice addition to my sole police boat (and a few small speed boats). Edit: Btw, I gave it four, mainly because of the limited use of the cabin. Otherwise great detailed model.
  4. I never noticed those dead leaves, until now. But I think they do their job pretty well. I saw palms like that not long ago in Brazil.
  5. Indeed it's a brilliant article. So sad to think about that no houses were released after 1990, except for the Velux house. But great, if it's changing now. Though the city house from 2010 isn't a classic house, it's (hopefully) a new beginning for Town/City. For the years in between, the theme actually should have been called Street
  6. And I stick to my suggestion
  7. I might be a little conservative on this point, but I really like when you can see the studs/knops of the plates, instead of all that SNOT. So I like the water of your MOC That being said, I also admire some of the MOCs with a lot of SNOT. It can be really impressive and look awsome.
  8. Thanks for the article, Kristian. Even though, I haven't read it yet, it seems to be pretty interesting reading. I look forward to read it tomorrow - being more fresh and more capable for reading
  9. A good beginning for your town. I like the main street buildings. If you also collect pirates, you can use the houses for a colonial town. I hope to see some more houses soon. Edit: Btw, it's always nice to see new towns growing up
  10. Hi TYB! Interesting changes, you are making there. Now you have moved the Grand Emporium down to the harbour/beach. Maybe you should put the cafe corner/hotel there instead. Then the guests can book a room with an ocean view and then, maybe, you could make a promenade in front of the hotel. Edit: Just correcting a word spelled wrong.
  11. Really an impressive MOC, you have built there, Corioso. Of course, what steals the attention is the great fort, but I also like the village next to it. Really many - and funny - details. - Did you put any interior in the buildings? It could be interesting to see what is hiding behind the walls
  12. Great architecture and then all those details. This is simply fantastic! Edit: Can't wait to see the interior of the last flats.
  13. Thanks for the review. Interesting set, though I agreen that the tavern could be better. It really calls for some MOD'ing or even MOC'ing. The first floor (upper floor) is a parody - it's way too small for a building this size. I guess, I'd also put a fire place or two. Well, after all, we (should) know how to MOC... I really like the bottles, it's a nice addition to a tavern. The carriages are great, and really nice to see some redcoats (especially the officer). I only have two, and could need some more. So I guess, I'll have to buy this set...
  14. Really a nice diorama. It's a joy to look through the details, at it's a good mix of the MOC landscape with the official sets. And I think the town hall fits quite well into the town, maybe as the colonial government? - I agree with Admiral Croissant that the fisherman is too modern in his look. I just can say
  15. When you see the sets together it all fits very well. But of course not for a medieval town. But for pirates, it could easily work. Maybe a few details on the houses from Diagon Alley should be changed. But otherwise, it looks good, especially Ollivander's.
  16. Hi Strikeman Nice town, you are building there. Plenty of space and great to see some of the good old sets being used When you look at the layout at first, it looks a little weird with the castle, pirates and town sets mixed. I guess, it's mainly because, we are not used to see the different LEGO themes mixed that way. - But yeah, why not? There are plenty of reasons for mixing it. And it doesn't have to be theme parks or themed restaurants etc. As you write yourself, many towns and cities have medieval neighbourhoods or even castles. Just make it look harmonic, then I can't see it should be a problem. Actually, I'm thinking about that myself, when I once will have enough space for my town. Build your town, go to IKEA, buy some more tables and build even more I'm looking forward to see the process (will we ever see the 'result'? )
  17. Now the thread is here, I voted for the blue coats. But unlike most other people here, they are not serving United Kingdom or France. Instead, they are serving the Kingdom of Legoland - which they always have done
  18. Really? Hahaha... I learn something new everyday... But yeah, you got the meaning
  19. Very funny... But I don't remember, I wrote that
  20. Good luck with the show, LT. I'm looking forward to see pictures from there It has been really interesting - and inspiring - to see how New Mannum has been growing. And all the details you have put into this town. I'm a conformist! - as a wise word says
  21. I just can add the same words: Fantastic, brilliant, amazing... This design should be built into all passenger trains.
  22. Hi Artemik, Welcome to Eurobricks. I like your little MOC. Well, first I also wondered what the police officer was doing with that hammer... But now I take a closer look, it's rather obvious I assume it's a local - and busy - police station. It's nice to see a classic styled MOC for a change. I look forward to see the next MOCs from you.
  23. Well... After all, it's your city and windmill Thanks for posting the pictures. Nice to see the small, previous "blank", spots. I also like the MODs, you have made to the pizzeria. It looks really cozy with the outdoor pizza oven. And I really like the big ice cream next to the garage.
  24. TRB, you really have a nice big table for your city. I wish, I had the same amount of space for my LEGO. Your city is really interesting, with space for growth. One thing, though, keeps catching my eyes. The windmill. I think it's misplaced there in the city centre. Eventually, you could place it in the country side or alternatively off-shore. Maybe close to the harbour, you are planning to put where the police station is. Do you have any updates on your city? Btw, it could be nice with a picture from the area between the pizzeria and the beach. You haven't posted that so far. Enjoy your space...
  25. Hi Hoexbroe, Fantastic MOC, you have built there. Though I seldomly come by at the wharfs nowadays, I must say, I almost felt at home, when I saw your MOC. I grew up in a town with a harbour (in Denmark), so I have seen fishing cutters like that many times. And the small hut with the "beer people"... I wanna go home Really great details... And really great old-style cars. I just can say And btw, I look forward to see the combined MOCs.
