She is one of the 3 Parcae which are all women... And the color of Lachesis is all about pink ( cf wikipedia or any encyclopedia about mythology)

Sailing out off Tortuga for her first trip ever, the Lachesis heads to New Nassau with full sails. Lachesis, the second of the 3 Parcae, the lady in pink, which is weaving the destiny on the life thread. Details of the upper deck WORK IN PROGRESS

A promise is a promise : Atropos, the last of the 3 Parcae, the old bitter woman in black cutting the thread of life. The Atropos, a two masted brig built in Tortuga, here with the topmen triming the sails before reaching the port. WORK IN PROGRESS
