OK, so Call to Action is a great episode. Probably my favorite of the whole series. I had assumed that the reason the Inquisitor and Kallus were incompetent was because this is a cartoon aimed at kids, and suspension of disbelief has to be a bit higher than in film. But the episode shows that the two are incompetent within the context of the universe as well. Tarkin arrives and is just as menacing as you remember being him in Star Wars. The episode also plays into my theory that Ahsoka is Fulcrom. Think about it: from a storytelling standpoint, Fulcrom has to be 1) a recognizable, well known character and 2) not a predictable Rebel from the OT. The writers wouldn't draw out this mystery otherwise. And, by introducing Tarkin, it also introduces an adversary from Ahsoka's past. Young Tarkin sets in motion the events that lead to her leaving the Jedi Order. A face-off between Ahsoka and Tarkin would have an emotional connection. The only thing that kind of disproves this theory is that in Rebel Resolve, the newest episode, Fulcrom is seen from behind and a man's voice is clearly heard. Why would Ahsoka disguise her voice to Hera if she doesn't disguise her appearance as well? Oh well, I'm sure we'll see soon enough.

The Final Duel set is problematic for me. It looks nice and the figures are great, but the price is a little hard to swallow and it won't fit anywhere in my display. The Imperial Shuttle is a day one purchase. I love that the shuttle will theoretically be able to fit the Emperor and two Royal Guards in the back. I'll have to Bricklink a couple officers and buy the new minifigure book to get an extra Emperor. The UCS TIE is boring to be honest. It's made even less desirable because the TIE pilot cannot fit in the cockpit. That's what I loved about the UCS Slave I. The Force Awakens sets sound enticing. I'd bet that the Stormtrooper Transport, the X-Wing, and the new TIE are 75101, 75102, and 75103 (not in that order necessarily).

What was the last movie you watched?

Snowpiercer was more allegorical than it was science fiction. If you go into it expecting ultra-realistic, accurate sci-fi, then you're going to be disappointed. I personally love it. -
These look great! But do I see two STAMPs on the Mystery Machine? Wait... They would be on the other side as well... So four STAMPs? I could be wrong though, it just looks that way to me. The only separation between stickers that I see is right on the hinged area. I love the Mystery Manor though. These sets are must-buys!

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I can't see any way there's a substantial amount of seating in the Quinjet, seeing as it fits both a motorcycle launching feature and that little capsule thing. And hey, what do you know, the capsule is six studs long, the exact length of the trapdoor in the back. So I guess that's a little more confirmation that the front area of the ship contains the motorcycle. -
I imagine they'll keep the age range at something like 7-14, since the age range is concerned with the difficulty of the build, not the subject matter. LEGO is definitely going to stray away from the more risque parts of the show and instead focus on the basic premise of "nerd antics."

Not yet.

Shame that the Imperial Shuttle doesn't include any Imperial figures. But, with all of the Imperials we're getting in Rebels, I don't think it should be too hard to find some spare officers. I hope that it has an interior in the midsection and not just a cockpit. I'm all for an Agent Kallus with hair, his helmet hides all of the printing for his sideburns, so he looks kind of plain. Sabine with a helmet is also a nice surprise. I'm looking forward to this wave!

Hate the show, love the comic. It's great that we're getting a Miles Morales! -

I have a theory as to what the little structure around Hulk in the Hulkbuster set is: today, some hi-res pictures of the Hasbro playsets were released, and one of them has Hulk, the Hulkbuster, and a cage for Hulk that looks vaguely similar to what we get in the LEGO set. It's not a perfect match, but it's the only theory I've got. https://i.imgur.com/eDtvKR9.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YJlZI07.jpg -

Aaaaaaand Sony squashes that rumor... Like a spider: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=113663 -
Oof! This episode was a huge step back in my opinion. It felt extremely unfocused in the conflict. First there was the threat of the Imperials, then the gangster, then the puffpig got loose, then back to Imperials, and then a final fight with the gangster... What annoyed me is that the Imperials didn't really pose a threat. The Rebels weren't in trouble because of the enemy, they were in trouble because their slapstick antics accidentally caused them to turn their cloaking device off. Way too much slapstick in this episode for my taste. One of the only redeemable parts of this episode in my opinion was the return of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian. There were some nice character interactions as well; don't' get me wrong, this episode isn't without its share of merits, it just doesn't live up to the quality of Path of the Jedi.

75106 is an Imperial Assault Carrier (Gozanti-Class Cruiser) from Star Wars Rebels. I think it's different enough from a Star Destroyer that it won't act as competition. http://starwars.wiki...i-class_cruiser

I loved the mid-season opener, "Path of the Jedi." The appearance of Yoda and his teachings were very faithful to his portrayal in ESB. It was handled with so much respect. One question though: were lightsaber crystals always called Khyber crystals? Also, didn't the Rebels pull off a heist for Khyber crystals in "Breaking Ranks?" So I guess the Empire was hounding lightsaber crystals? There's a lot of stuff the writers are holding back on us (Ezra's parents, Fulcrum's identity, the supposed importance of Lothal) and I wish they would start giving answers before asking more questions.

That sounds like it would be a little complicated for kids to handle. Picking up the Quinjet with one hand, holding Cap's bike under the Quinjet with their other hand, making sure the trapdoor stays open, and trying to manipulate the lock system from the top... ...Unless you meant that the cycle would be put in through the top, which is impossible since the trapdoor has a 6x4 hole and the bike is 8 studs long. It's just my guess here, you could be right. Who knows what clever little system the designers have in store for us! Only time will tell. I think that's omegabob's point. LEGO has and always will be primarily a kid's toy and so we're going to have to put up with play features aimed at kids. -

It looks to me that the back hatch is actually 6 studs long. I'm pretty sure I can see a 2 stud long tiled section, then a 2x4 angular plate, and a 2x2x2 slope on the back in the middle. That, and I think those are 6x1 black tiles that form the edges of the back hatch. They could be 4x1, the angle is wonky. EDIT: My theory is that the motorcycle release mechanism is in the front of the ship, just behind the cockpit, and seating is in the back. Upon a closer look, the back hatch is constructed with the same 6x8 trapdoor used in the 2012 Quinjet. Why would LEGO make an opening hatch if all that's under it is a releasing mechanism? -
I would be a little angry if we got an Imperial Dignitary before Aunt Beru or a proper Wedge Antilles. But we did get Airen Cracken with the B-Wing, so I guess anything is possible. Those are a lot of sets. I was thinking about getting the Naboo Fighter purely because I like the design, but that may not be possible considering all of the OT/TFA/Rebels sets...

Agent Carter was great! The Ant-Man trailer was fine, I guess? It didn't do much for me to be honest. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything special either.

This year has been a great year in film, far better than 2013. So, like last year, I'd like to hear everyone's opinions! Choose five, choose ten, choose as many as you'd like. 1. Whiplash (dir. Damien Chazelle) 2. Birdman (dir. Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu) 3. Snowpiercer (dir. Bong Joon-ho) 4. Jodorowsky's Dune (dir. Frank Pavich) 5. Gone Girl (dir. David Fincher) 6. The Grand Budapest Hotel (dir. Wes Anderson) 7. Listen Up Philip (dir. Alex Ross Perry) 8. Life Itself (dir. Steve James) 9. Nightcrawler (dir. Dan Gilroy) 10. Enemy (dir. Denis Villeneuve)

Wolf is nothing, a placeholder name for sets. 'Tis a mystery what the codename means though...

Not to my knowledge. It just doesn't sound like something they would do to be honest. Unless the whole exclusives leak was a purposeful leak and the parts leak (21-B, Han Hoth head) was also planted. That seems like a lot of trouble...

Well, how could you blame them? It was the 80s and they were hard out for cash. They've spent the last couple of years trying to get them all back now that they're drowning in cash. This embargo is a plea to Fox to sell them back the rights. -
I was thinking that, but then wouldn't it make sense for the wings to curve a bit more and maybe feature some guns at the top? Those wings going sideways would look pretty wonky. But again, this is from concept art. The design of the wings could look more natural in a sideways formation once the design is in its final stages.

Tribute to 15 Years of LEGO Star Wars
montgocloud replied to Khaled Yousef's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I can't exactly remember my first one, but I did get all of the classic '99-'01 sets and I have fond memories of them. I'll always have a special place in my heart for classic LEGO Star Wars. People argue that the sets had bizarre colors and had horrible designs, but, in my opinion, they have a certain charm. -
It's fine! It happens to the best of us. I stopped at my next closest Target and they had everything except the AT-DP and Inquisitor's TIE. But that's not the interesting part. The interesting part was the prices! The speeder bikes set was $19.99 and the Wookie Gunship was a whopping $10 off at $59.99.
