What’s the term when you use torsos as they are without hands etc.

It’s all Lego as far as I’m aware. Purist don’t take arms out and out them in another lego torso etc. Purists are pure. Handcuffs?

Actually they would need a new piece making. On top of the babies’ head there’s not a stud but a bar but just really short, not long enough for the stud with a hole in. So either they make a new stud or mold it on with the babies’ head.

@Soupperson1 Regarding the PPP, mini dolls are apparently more expensive to produce than minifigures and what’s worse is Disney has expensive licensing fees.

If I just use a medium lilac soft spongy cape (the only type of cape I use excluding plastic ones) then I think that would work.
