Thanks, That's an interesting insight and is logical reasoning as different factories may have slightly different tooling and tolerances. "Attacking the torso with the arms" is probably where I'm going wrong if I'm honest lol. I'm full of questions today but I'll ask one more because you guys are really helpful. How do you tell what's Chinese and Danish made parts?

These look great, the red ones more so than the blue but that's only because the blue arms are so recognisable as shield agents and that would bug me somehow. That's just me being weird though. I'm always reluctant to swap out arms and legs because they tend to go all floppy afterwards. Is there a technique in swapping them that still keeps them stiff after the switch?

It's the head piece from 75127, Hera Syndulla, I believe. Great scene by the way, such a nice way to display your collection of aliens and background characters. Love your bartender and the guy with the red cape/goggles. The last Cantina set was such a fig and parts gem and really wish I had multiples of it but it was also expensive. The sandtrooper in that set is one of my favourite Lego minifigs.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
That Orange Thing replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
April fools or not, seeing that price tag suddenly brought it crashing home that this set will be very expensive. You can see why the original MF wasn't a great seller. The idea of owning an UCS falcon is a romantic vision we all have but that money could be easily used for sensible things like the mortgage and bills. -

Was about to post April fools but you got a fast edit in There's no way Lego would release a carbon copy of the old MF? Would they? edit- hmmmmm.. page now not showing. Very odd -

Just a bit of warning, prison bricks article is a bit spoiler inclined. If you want to go into the film with a clean slate I'd avoid it. I'm not too fussed to be fair. I read it and it was an interestingly insight "if true" but some folk would appreciate a spoiler tag. -
[BL] 10179 Milennium Falcon - with a twist
That Orange Thing replied to jemakrol's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sounds like a great project as always, if I was undertaking this I would really wait and see what Lego release in the near future. There have been very strong hints of a new USC MF coming soon. However, it looks like you a take lot of enjoyment from the sourcing of pieces so if that's your thing, all the best edit- just clicked that you've been doing this for a while. Let's hope the new set will include some of the expensive pieces you need then. -
Think I owe an apology to @Moff Muffins. I tried out a pair of jerk-14 legs on a snowtrooper and they look really good in person. The top half looks like a better looser fitting trouser whilst having printing that looks like knee pads and boots. Will have to order a few more now. I have a side question. It seems there is a guy in Germany that has houndreds of them on his bricklink store, are these real Lego pieces? I'm always concerned when a store has hundreds of rareish parts in stock, espsically Minifig pieces. How can they get so many?

The Han legs from the latest MF are a great upgrade as shown by Galaad. Moff Muffin, those are some nice tweaks by the way. In particular I love the Tuskan raiders. I think the AT-DP legs are more suited for the snow troopers but its nice to see something different used here.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
That Orange Thing replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I agree using 100% confirmed can be misleading, especially as other people start quoting it as fact like a page or two back. im not doubting you have very good reason to believe what's upcoming is certain but knowing someone who has seen them is not exactly 100%. Even Lego can pull a last minute delay on certain sets like the ucs snowspeeder and throw a spanner in the works. -

Well it looks as though they fixed the semi transparent white vests, in that picture at least. The arm printing looks good to me but side printing on the legs would have made this a far more desirable UCS exclusive. Along with a less generic face obviously. -
Fair point about Leia and I Can't see family friendly Disney releasing that figure again. Wasn't a statement released by them stating that?

These three sets were discontinued just as I started collecting and always wanted the Palace and Rancor pit but the sail barge never looked that good. I was lucky enough to get all three in an ebay deal when I was only looking for the palace and pit and I have to say the sail barge really does look better once built, maybe edging it as my favourite of the three. I've had to make a few mods to barge and like others have said the front section needs a redesign but it has a strange charm to it. Having said that, the palace has some great figures and the Rancor big fig is something to behold. If I were to buy just the the one I think it might be the palace as the look and techniques used still hold up today and contains some great figures we may not see again in a while.

Is that the line up or do you genuinely not know who's in the pack? Because you are normally on the ball with stuff like this. is this more cryptic runarounds? I really do get lost in this thread most the time. -

Let's just be happy they are releasing background characters at all in this bounty hunter pack. The fact this battle pack is being released with obscure figs in a cheap set is a good sign by Lego that the universe can get more depth. Remember how most sets nearly always had a chewie, C3-P0 and R2 in them. just watch them mess it up by charging twice as much for it ....because obscure figs -
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
That Orange Thing replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My local ASDA was having a huge sale with 75-80% off. I normally miss these but todays my lucky day. 75127 ghost - I love the minifig with this 75099 Reys speeder - I own this already but its a great set and a no brainer at 5 quid 75120 K-2S0 - This will be my first buidable fig. This was really cheap so I bought it to see what all the fuss was about. 75133 x9 Rebel alliance battle packs - Nine packs seems a lot but at £3 a pack I know I'd regret not clearing the shelf. I'm a big army builder and this pack has some great helmets, faces and prints that are very versatile. In total I got 12 sets for under 40 pounds. It felt like i was stealing as i paid for it! -
Lego Minifigure Scale Millennium Falcon with detailed interior
That Orange Thing replied to lou144's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Easiest thing to is buy the current Lego millennium falcon and just add your own interior as there is plenty of room in there. If you don't have the spare bricks to do it physically you could always download the ldd file for the current falcon and do the upgrade digitally then buy the bricks later. If you have a look around the many falcon topics on this site you will see how people have upgraded specific areas such as the gaps in the top plates, resizing the mandibles, updrading cockpits... the list goes on. Be warned, once you start your own Millenium falcon project it will be an ongoing project. i know too well building my own falcon at the moment how much time and fun you will spend doing this. Happy building.- 3 replies

Is the bounty hunter box still a place holder? It still uses the old fig designs. I don't think Bossk has changed and the fugure up front has no printing. -

I'd be happy if the new snowspeeder pilot had a white vest with few layers of paint applied. Those semi transparent white vests really bother me. Now that would be a worthy upgrade. -
I believe the change with Boba Is his base colour which is now light grey in colour more like his Rotj outfit. It's a nice change up to be fair, however, Printed arms will always be used to sell UCS sets I'm afraid.

The engines are a true piece of art. One of my biggest issues with the lego set was the huge gap between the engines where the wings folded back and the way they felt unconnected to the ship. This is a much more elegant solution. Really deserving of the UCS name.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
That Orange Thing replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the heads up rich. Two nice little sets in that magazine. It's a sad state of affairs when I'm most excited that they put a classic blaster in a poly bag. Here I was thinking they couldn't mass produce that part anymore -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
That Orange Thing replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't think anything is a given at this point. All we have is an initial rumour that we may get a snow speeder after many delays and a new mf. The problem is lots and lots of people keep repeating the initial romour to the point where it has entered the group conscience they are coming. It's now not helping we have lots of people saying expect amazing things but don't quote me on that, wink wink. its probably best not to over think it, expect some usc to arrive this year, then buy it if it appeals to you. New York toy fair should provide more concrete evidence. -
I'm guessing he probably had less fleshy heads to build with back in 2012

Haha, the Wampa attack from the deleted scenes. Only your recreation looks far more believable Great job on your research and getting all the small details into your build.
