Antman (finally) began production yesterday and here is the first image released

Darkseid will more than likely be a big fig, Gorilla Grodd could be brick built but idk...This Black Manta set seems like it could be a $13 to me. I'm also not a fan of the Killer Croc bigfig in the game to be honest and it doesn't really look real to me.

Groot and Sentinel aren't technically bigfigs. And also the Blackbird comes with 5 figs if you're including the sentinel. Also, there's no way we're getting a big fig Killer Croc this wave. 3 is way too many and will not happen. Killer Croc wouldn't really make sense either.

Tony and pepper are nice, but they're not as nice as a new hero. Mandarin sucks but his printing is great. I just gave him long black hair instead of the crap he had. I don't like the extremis people though, they look weird and I don't like how they made them white.

Maybe Marvel lied to them and told them the Mandarin was the villain so that no one would suspect it. And then they just made up the buggy to add another set? Idk..those sets were a disaster, the only good thing that came from them was War Machine.

I just hope however he looks he doesn't fall into the "bad concept art" transition to being a minifig like Loki did...But if the GotG figs are anything to go off of, they'll be really awesome and accurate. By the way, how do they base the sets off of stuff from the movie? Do they get to see the movie before hand? Or does Marvel give them concept art for scenes as well? That always puzzled me, considering they wouldn't even have much footage 12 months in advanced...

No, if they released another exclusive fig with the game there would be huge backlash since that would force you to buy the game multiple times.

That thought never occurred to me but I guess it's possible. He's supposedly about 8 feet tall in the movie and those are slightly taller than minifigs so it may work. But at the same time I'd rather have him and his minions as minifigs. That way they can be more detailed with printing plus they can still use a red minifig head underneath a helmet. They're also more playable. Those robots don't exactly look right next to regular minifigs anyway so that may not work..Yeah, I don't want him as one of those Hero factory guys. He's probably going to need to hold trans red studs in his hands and also on his feet so one of those robots wouldn't work for that either. His later upgrades may need some sort of body armor but I think it could still work as a minifig. Well Avengers 2 comes out in may which is still the first half of the year. We usually get the movie sets about 1-2 months before the movie comes out so we'll probably get the AoU sets in April just like with the first Avengers movie. We could get a few spidey sets in January though, and if so, we'd be getting rumors of that sometime soon.

Or at least make a new mold for Hawkeye because like you said, it's outdated.

Well, to be honest, Iron Man has a crummy rogues gallery anyway. Although it was a bit of a cop out. Still a good movie in my opinion though, just doesn't really feel like a comic book movie. Anyway, not the place for this discussion And even based on that concept art, I still don't see how they got Hawkeyes hair wrong? It doesn't look slicked back. I wonder if we'll actually get a real quiver this time? A printed one doesn't really give him the full "archer" effect.

Good thing! Hopefully (if he's not a S@H exclusive or even the dreaded SDCC exclusive ) we'll get him in a tie-in set for Captain America 3. Or I suppose we may have to wait until the inevitable Avengers 3 where he will have to be in a set. We could even get him in an Avengers Assemble set although I don't think he's shown up in that show. I'd love that! But he needs a separate molded arm for his infinity gauntlet. There isn't one on that version

Black Widow and Hawkeye better be spot on this time around. There's really no excuse. WS wouldn't have made good sets. The only thing that I think was a missed opportunity was the Winter Soldier himself. I want him! Thor 2 I think would've been nice to get Malekith or a Dark elf though..maybe one day we'll get their comic book appearances in a set.

Well they would have to make a new mold for Darkseid because he's not shirtless and has a different head and legs. They couldn't just repaint him. Unless you're referring to a whole new Big fig design with moveable lets that you mentioned which I would fully endorse. They at least need a moving joint at the hips and torso so he can twist or something...

But how did he get Vaders Helmet? It was burned on Endor, this guy would've had to an retrieve it from there right after their celebration. Unless there were multiple helmets that weren't on the Deathstar or the Super Star Destroyer...

$200 for a set that isn't an exclusive?? Yeah, right Star Wars doesn't even get $200 sets in their waves. It'll be $90 at most, and even that's a bit of a stretch.

Well Cap 3 and Doctor Strange are the 2016 movies, AoU and Antman are the 2015 ones so those movies are where the next SDCC exclusives may come from. I'd say it's likely to get a fig from Antman as an exclusive next year. But if we don't see Strucker in a set for AoU we may see him as an exclusive also..He'd be a really easy fig to do.

Idk, I think Cyborg is pretty likely. I don't think Green Lantern is the only new hero that we'll be getting this wave.

Don't say that....!!!! He's likely to be very important during the third act because Vision helped defeat Ultron when he first fought the Avengers and was basically the reason they won. We'll get him. Or someone will die.

Multiple reasons, I presume. The empire is wiped out and I would assume that the Stormtroopers were mostly destroyed. Whoever is heading the new rise of the empire maybe wanted to resurrect them but not exactly the same as before. These helmets pay a little homage to the past while keeping it fresh. Also (hopefully this analogy isn't offensive) if the nazis came back today in modern times, I doubt they'd have the same look as they did during WW2. Plus it'd be a little boring to see the Stormtroopers look exactly the same as they did in the OT. Personally, I'm sort of wondering why they look so similar. If I was picking up the pieces of a fallen empire, I would change things up quite a bit. A new threat needs a new face. Although the reemergence of the Stormtroopers would probably be quite terrifying for the Republic, so maybe they're staying similar to instill fear. Or maybe I'm over analyzing things.

Yet I wouldn't be surprised if they showed off a few figs at NYCC or the NYTF possibly. But if the Hobbit is anything to go off of, I recall the Hobbit set names leaked really early this year so maybe we'll get a rumor or two in a month or so. Although those plot details may not be as heavily guarded since it's a book adaptation. Time will tell.
