Very nice!!! Set looks great. Grand Emporium was actually the first modular that I bought (was able to get the other 4 haha) as I came back into Lego a little late. But I love the design and the color scheme. Keep on MOCing!!

What store did you see the building in?

They really need to let us know what this is going to be. If it is indeed a pet shop, then I plan on making my own bank. But I don't want to get started and then have Lego announce this is a bank

travisco nabisco, I don't know how committed you are to I am but I too missed out on Cafe Corner. However, I bought all the pieces individually off BrickLink and it really only cost me between $150-200 which is not that bad. I am just about finished, just waiting on pieces for the 3rd floor. Those pieces were the only real issue with the set. You need a bunch, i think almost 40, of the dark red slopes. However, they are discontinuted so Pick a Brick on Lego.com doesn't have them and the only place that I found enough on BrickLink was an international seller and I am still waiting on them. Other than that, it was well worth it. I also did the same thing for Market Street and now have all 5 modular houses together!

I came back into Lego and missed the first 2 modular buildings and could not afford them off EBay or BrickLink so I decided to get all the pieces together individually. It wasn't really that bad. I mean it got kind of annoying to buy pieces from 10 different sellers on BrickLink but in the end, Market Street cost me about $120 and I am working on Cafe Corner right now and have about 90% of the pieces and its cost me about $175. So all in all, if you make the time to look through what you have and what is on BrickLink, it is definitely cheaper!

No matter what the modular house is I will buy it, they are all beautifully constructed and well designed but I too would prefer a bank! I love the new Bank and Money Transfer set but was a little disappointed by the small size of it so I contemplated MOCing a bank based on the same color scheme so either way, I will have a modular bank!

First I want to say that I too came back to Lego because of the modular houses. But anyway, I came back to Lego and could not afford Market Street so I did exactly what you did. I am happy to say that I completed it today, all of the exact pieces purchased through BrickLink or EBay and it definitely came to a lot cheaper than purchasing the entire set. Now I am working on the Cafe Corner So far, I have about 75% of the pieces.
