  1. Unfortunately I can't act this turn, what with being stunned and all. Thanks Barur, that'll ensure I'm fighting fit for the next round.
  2. Yays! I'm very happy to see my hiding panda on the advent calendar. Thanks again for the fantastic raffle giveaway CopMike! I think you have my address already, but I'll happily send it again if needs be to get these great figs.
  3. Unfortunately the only means we have at our disposal for putting anyone to sleep is you telling them another one of your stories, Larry. My Sandman's Parasol merely prevents me from being affected by sleep. This will be a long fight; I don't doubt our good Clerics will be required to heal us all at some point, so perhaps you could focus on that Barur? We're going to need you! Well, lets get this party started then. I shall bring out my trusty Amethyst and cast Darkness on the MOColian Palace Guard from the back row.
  4. Actually........
  5. I kinda think we do old man, and I kinda think we'll end up fighting him anyway, or somebody, or something. You could just hit him if you want, but a moment's quiet contemplation with the minor goddess Wikia indicates that there are items in a parallel dimension called Paravanes - used by humans for... fun... apparently.
  6. Uhm, yes. Black tiles. Uh huh. Nyx lithely dances across the black tiles after Larry and Amorith, mentally preparing herself for whatever wonder Boomingham has spotted.
  7. Happy Birthday Corny! Hope you have a great day!
  8. Once again I shall cast Darkness on Mocolian Auxiliary A from the back row.
  9. Aha, we seem to be getting somewhere. I shall cast Darkness on the Mocolian Auxiliary B from the back row.
  10. It was a fine day in Fabuland and Ricky Raccoon was having a great time riding around on his red scooter, which is something he always enjoyed doing. As he rode along he bumped into Pandora Panda and Rufus Rabbit, also out on their new scooters. “Hi Ricky!” they cried in unison, waving hello. “Hey guys!” responded Ricky with a grin. “How do you like our new scooters?” asked Rufus. “They look great,” replied Ricky “everyone should have a scooter; they’re so much fun after all.” “Yeah,” said Pandora Panda “and these are super fast. How about a race?” she asked Ricky whilst winking at Rufus. “Sure thing, you’re on!” and Ricky grinned some more. Rufus and Pandora sped off into the countryside with Ricky hot at their (w)heels. He was just about to overtake the duo when they veered off to a secluded copse. “Sorry Ricky, it was all a ruse.” said Rufus. “Yeah, sorry Ricky, but we had to trick you to get you here.” said Pandora Panda as she and Rufus Rabbit stood aside to reveal.... ....a surprise birthday party for Ricky Raccoon and all his friends with birthday cake, and beer, and presents, and a long table laden with food, including a large bowl of cherries! “Happy Birthday Ricky Raccoon!” cheered all the Fabulanders, as they all prepared to party long into the night. Happy birthday Rick! Hope you have a fantastic day!
  11. CopMike, thanks for yet another great raffle! A Family Christmas with the Skywalkers: "Aww, Dad! Can't you use a carving knife like everyone else?!"
  12. I'm still quite happy to offer two of the bones I'm carrying, especially in the name of progress. I certainly intend to drink as much as I possibly can when I get back to Heroica from this parched desert, and I'd be delighted to introduce you and Marvelo to the joys of Flaming Gumballs. Scheherezade even puts a little umbrella in and a cherry on top... They are girly drinks, but they've got one helluva kick to them.
  13. Well you can play it that way if you'd like.
  14. I have already asked for healing, perhaps I should have been bolder in my request. Would somebody please heal me? Anyone? I don't think we need to worry too much about how much Ether we have left, either. If bones are required to reconstruct the skeleton then I'll happily give two from my stash for that purpose, but I'd very much like to be healed first.
  15. This game is incredible. I thought Oblivion was fantastic, but this is soooo much better. The scenery is so much more detailed and there's just loads more to discover and do. My lesson at the moment... stay away from the mammoths, at least until I've levelled up a bit, but I have at least slain a few dragons too.
  16. I guess you just softened him up for me, eh Larry? Uhm, Sylph old friend, would you be kind enough to heal me up? I'd like to make sure I'm fighting fit for the next menace we encounter. I would ask you Barur, too, but your Ether's a bit on the low side so I don't want you to feel as though you must.
  17. This is wonderful! The detail you've put into the stage-set is fantastic - all the antennae and the sattelite dish! It looks just like the staging of the real concert, and the Trabants!! I'm so glad you showed the Trabants up close - they are greats MOCs on their own, and the coloured patterns really hark back to how they'd been painted for the tour. Even if they weren't U2's Trabants to dangle over your stage, they'd be cute little vehicles in their own right. When you said you were planning this MOC I wondered how you were going to suspend the Trabants, and you've come up with a great way of doing so; the staggered height really makes them look like they are dangling slightly precariously to light the stage. Great work!
  18. Excellent idea Amorith! Fireball, on the Super Scarab, back row; lets get this done, as I think we could all do with a short rest after this before charging onwards. I'm sure we're all thinking of the comfy chairs back at Heroica hall, and goodness knows Boomers and I are missing the free booze...
  19. Oh Larry, do you have to make such a racket? My head's still a little sore.. Nyx pulls herself together, and focuses her attention on the Scarab. Right you overgrown insect! You will feel my firey wrath! Nyx positions herself in the back row, and starts to bounce a Fireball in the palm of her hand ready to hurl it at the Super Scarab.
  20. Lovely scene with cute Fabuland piggies. I agree the straw house looks just that; it's a really nice way of depicting it, and you've included the door and window details. The scene really represents the story, so I'd look forward to seeing more of these. That would be great; I can just about make out the work you've put in on the path the pigs are walking along.
  21. Ahh yes, I remember the famous "Apple Catching" scene from the Empire Strikes Back! So is the midichlorian count included on the back of the packet?
  22. It took me a little while to notice, it seems... Rékocs attention to Hungarian men cry - [A very nice Hungarian person blogged my latest Fabuland Review (causing a ginormous leap in my flickr views all of a sudden), and when Google Chrome translated the Hungarian page, something akin to my title was revealed. I have absolutely no desire to make anyone cry, let alone Hungarian men. To recognise this Hinckley has continued his long tradition of giving my titles by bestowing this on me. Thanks Hinck!] Aaaand updated!
  23. Is it Tuesday? I was planning a marshmallow and joining a helicopter... Urgh, I think I'll just sit here for this round. My head feels a bit funny.. Go get 'em, Larry!
  24. Thank you very much Niku, I really do think there are some great pieces in this set. Thanks Cam! That's a whole heap of praise! People need to start opening their hearts to Fabu. Thank you very much durge74, especially for the pricing information (which I couldn't find anywhere). I would adore a re-release of Fabuland, really adore it, however I do fear that it might somehow not be quite as good as its previous incarnations if TLG did. And yes, long live Fabuland! Thank you very much for your lovely comments andhe! It's great to know you enjoyed reading the review, I really appreciate knowing, thanks! Thank you very much Callum. I think the Bulldog hats could indeed be removed on some of the first generation figures, as can be seen very nicely here in darkdragon's review of Buzzy Bulldog, however some of the first generation Bulldogs also had glued-on hats. The reason that lurks in my mind (and I have no evidence to back this up) is that there were fears over child safety in the United States and TLG were required to ensure the hats were firmly glued on. As you will no doubt know as a collector yourself, the hats aren't exactly smaller than some of the other Fabuland (or indeed other LEGO) parts so I'm not sure how much difference this made, however as I say I have no evidence to back this up and I'm very happy to be corrected. As to the roof tiles, I tried very briefly (and carefully) to separate mine but they didn't seem like they would separate easily or safely, so I'd rather take your word for it! Thank you very much Plastic Nurak, I agree it is a FABULous set! It is just such a shame they didn't keep the older, cuter eyes. And most people agree with Rick when it comes to Fabu!
  25. It's not a habit we'd like to get into (playing two halves of the same character). def provided us both with a great new opportunity to try it in Bloodbrick II and it was fantastic that he thought of that possibility. The same with you Hinck when you invited us to play, neither of us wanted to say no and miss out on such a great looking and exciting game (even though we weren't in it all that long ), so again it was a great opportunity - thank you. That said, I think it's less confusing for everyone else (and much less stressful for us ) if we don't play as the same character, and instead play separately. I don't think we'd be able to play as two separate characters in the same game - we couldn't hide our affiliations from each other, so I think we'll continue playing separate games entirely from here on. After we've hosted, that is...
