  1. Happy Birthday, Fangy!
  2. Well, I still don't believe that Yasu-chan is scum, but the least she could do would be to try to not get herself lynched. Vote: Yasu (TheBoyWonder)
  3. Unvote: Emi (Brickdoctor) After thinking it over for a while, I've decided to unvote Emi-chan. While I still think that my metagamey reasons are valid, she makes a good point that a scum wouldn't want to be so 'out there' on the first Day. I could see a scum bringing up slip-up like what Yasu-chan said, but I can't see one going on like Emi-chan has been. Oh, sorry! I'll remember that next time. That is a good point that the scum would only want to defend the townies after some time passed, but that was a pretty big blunder Yasu-chan pulled, and you could have figured that she would be lynched even that early in the Day. I'm not accusing you of anything, I'm just pointing out that your actions today could be that of a scum. Don't take it too seriously. I had originally included Shiro-san in my list of suspicious people, but took it out since he's known to be a sheep in these situations (can't... stop... metagaming! ). I'd be okay with voting for him though, since he isn't doing any good. I have to agree with this one. While Yasuko-san might have just been roleplaying playing dumb, those sorts of comments she made are definitely not helpful. She's another one I'd be okay with voting for, since she isn't doing any good either.
  4. No, I'm voting for you because you never act like this. This is a huge change in your behavior from usual. However, you do make a pretty good point. You've had tunnelvision for Yasu-chan all day, and I think a scum probably would have faded into the crowd after a while, and you haven't.
  5. Okay (not ok-ey) dokey, here are a few more people I'm suspicious of: Isamu-kun: Defended Yasu-chan fervently at the beginning of the Day. If he's scum and she's not, then he knows it will look good for him if he defends her and she gets lynched and comes up town. Defending townies is one of the best ways to appear town. Tamiko-san: One of the quiet ones, but when she spoke up, it was completely 100% unhelpful. Maybe this can be attributed to inexperience, maybe not. Shizuku-san: Again. She's taking the kind of 'middle road' the scum would want to take. Out of everyone, I'm still the most suspicious of Emi-chan. I hate having to base something on metagaming like this, but she reeks of scum to me. I suppose I should put my vote where my mouth is: Vote: Emi (Brickdoctor)
  6. I find it mind-boggling how you two still want to lynch someone who claimed an important power role. You keep making up more and more things that 'might' be true, and all of those things are overly complicated. She has a useful role, so she should have a chance to be verified tonight. Why are you two (namely Momoe-sama) trying to make verifying her sound so overcomplicated? I hadn't even thought of that! Good idea, Norio-sama! The problem is, nobody's confirmed at this point, so the second role cop might not know who to go to privately. I know that I'm a loyal member of the Yakuza, but there's no way for me to be verified when we haven't even had a night phase yet. This is another good point, however, those people you're gambling with could very well have important roles of their own. Hopefully, if need be, they won't be so eager to claim as Yasu-chan was. Claiming is a last resort, people! Thank you very much, Grandfather! That's a big help! Okay, since voting's started, I'm not wasting any time. Let's lynch some Mutineers! I agree that the scum wouldn't want to be in the 'quiet person' crowd today, and that they'll likely be around the middle. Now, to start off, there are several people who have caught my attention today: Emi-chan: She's acting very differently from usual, but I understand that this is called 'metagaming' (as if life were some sort of game ), so I won't push this too much today. Momoe-san: Trying to make verifying Yasu-chan sound overcomplicated. However, I don't know if the scum would want to put their necks out there so early. Yasu-chan: If you have to ask me why she's suspicious, then you need to read the thread. She could be scum or she could be the town role cop. But like Norio-sama, I'm willing to work with Occam's Razor. I'm going to go over what else has been said today, and I'll come back with more names when I'm done.
  7. Yes, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. I'm sorry, Father. Well, that's because there aren't very many good options for lynching today. I would be more than happy to get Yasu-chan and her reckless ways out of the Temple, but she claims an important role, and I'm not about to just ignore that. She could be a scum role cop, she could be a scum goon (or whatever) claiming role cop because she's isn't very experienced, but the truth is the argument of her being scum is more of a long shot than the argument of her being town. I have to agree. Yasu-chan will probably survive the night, and that's why I said to plant a watcher on her - so the scum won't go blocking her.
  8. Yes, sorry, I misspoke. I've always had a tendency to believe roleclaims.
  9. That's a Role Cop. That's what Yasu-chan is.
  10. Okay, apparently, looking back at my private discussions, I didn't say that she would be investigated. Sorry, Momoe-sama! No, I certainly wasn't ignoring it, I guess I just forgot. Besides, if I was scum, and I ignored the possibility of her being investigated, then I don't think that would stop the investigator from going after her. Any investigator with half a brain would target her tonight. But thank you for saying that I always know how night abilities can best be used. Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding, Emi-chan. I don't see much of a better option either, but there are plenty of lurkers around for us to lynch I guess.
  11. Wait, are you asking me to explain, or Emi-chan to explain? I had actually said that maybe she's a scum role cop. Yes, sorry, I had already said in private that she should be investigated, so I forgot to say it in public too. I agree that scum role cop is a plausible role, so it's important to clear her. Yasu-chan should be investigated tonight, and if it would make everyone sleep better, then someone should go ahead and investigate me too. Although I find it interesting that this accusation is coming up right after I pointed out how strange Emi-chan is acting...
  12. So wait, you say you don't think she's Scum, yet you don't see a better option than to lynch her? That's ridiculous. You shouldn't vote for someone if you don't think they're scum.
  13. It's because she's so inexperienced that she claimed. It reminds me a lot of a certain Mad Hatter from a Batman comic. She asked me several times in private if she should claim, and I told her every time 'no'. I go out for my lunch break, and she completely defies my advice. I find it interesting that you're still trying to imply that Yasu-chan is scum. While I don't trust her completely either, there is no way I'm letting her get lynched today. We'll let the investigator clear her/condemn her tonight, and her fate will be decided tomorrow. I also find it interesting how 'proactive' you're trying to make yourself look this game. I don't remember you being anything more than a sheep for several lives now... Changing your approach since you drew scum again? I wasn't saying 'make yourself useful and claim to me', I was saying 'give me a logical argument as to why we are wrong about you'. A good rule of thumb in these situations is to not claim early. 'What if'? We'll choose her target for her, and hopefully the watcher and the tracker will have to common sense to go for her tonight. But your weak attempts to get the town Role Cop lynched are duly noted.
  14. :wall: Great job, Yasu-chan. Great job. Voting hasn't even started yet and already you've cracked under the pressure and claimed. Yes. I contacted her earlier saying that I thought she was scum, but I was willing to listen to reason, and she immediately claimed to me. I'm not sure if I believe it, but Role Cop is a terrible false claim for a scum, so I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Or maybe she's a scum Role Cop... No you didn't. Voting hasn't even started yet! Plenty can change before the Day is over. And now you're going to get blocked/killed/hijacked by the scum. If there's a watcher out there, please keep an eye on Yasu-chan tonight. Well, obviously, we're not going to lynch a claimed Role Cop, so now we once again face the dilemma of who to lynch. I'll go back through our discussions and come up with a list of likely scum (I'm looking at you, Shiro-kun). Hopefully Norio-sama will do the same. I have to agree with Emi here. Why the hell did you claim to me!? I wasn't asking for a claim, I was asking why you said what we're not allowed to talk about!
  15. This response just reeks of scum. You see our logic in suspecting you for your slip-up, and you're trying to shoot it down by saying that it's unfair since it happened before we had all arrived. Nor can I. As a matter of fact, I just woke up from a good night's day's sleep. Was I worried that people would say I'm 'inactive' and try to point the FoS at me because of that? No, I wasn't, because I'm innocent and I have nothing to hide. Yes, plenty of people have been lynched for quietness in the past, but please keep in mind, there are 72 hours many hours in the Day, and inactivity is unlikely to get you any attention until the waning hours of the Day. Plus, we all understand that not everyone is on the same timezone that not everyone's body clock is adjusted to the current time yet. If we had been looking for inactive family members and someone had mentioned you, I or someone else would have looked at your profile to see when you were last on gone to your room to see if you were awake and seen that there was no way you could have participated because you were sleeping. Lynching someone because they are on the other side of the world sleep at different times than you do would be incredibly stupid. And why do you think people would try to get you especially? I think what's going on here is that Yasu-chan is scum, and she was scared that people would find her out. The scum all know something we don't, and one of the best ways to catch scum is to catch someone who seems to know more than everyone else even though they shouldn't. At this point, all the scum know is who is on their team and who isn't (unless they have some sort of secret weapon this game), but this is still very valuable info, and something that they are pretty likely to accidentally give away. The scum (especially noobish scum like Yasu-chan) know that we're going after them, and they think that it only makes sense for us to be accusing them. Because they know who they are, the scum automatically think that there is something different about their behavior - even if they're playing pretty well. In reality, it's very unlikely that anyone would have gone after her for inactivity - even if she had kept her head down most of the Day. I am very confident that Yasu-chan is scum, and I will certainly be voting for her when the time comes (unless something else comes up, but that's pretty unlikely). I have to agree with Norio-sama here. Multiple factions and converting cults aren't the most common things around, so it's pretty likely that there are seven-eight scummos here for us to catch.
  16. Thanks, def! I'll definitely be using a few of those! I don't know if this is the correct form (and I don't know what the Hiragana character for it is), but isn't 'brother' 'onii-san' and 'sister' 'nii-san'?
  17. I agree. One of the town's biggest assets at the beginning of the situation is the ability to overturn a bandwagon in a matter of minutes. But we can't do that if we only have one unvote! Oh Grandfather, won't you please take that rule out? We'd be eternally grateful. I see no reason to. While there doesn't appear to be any penalty for not voting, that doesn't change the fact that not making a lynch today is detrimental to the town.
  18. That statement stood out to me, too, Emi. Why would she be so scared of the FoS? Now, Yasu is a bit of a noob inexperienced when it comes to our hectic family gatherings, so it makes sense that she'd be scared of suspicion (I was when I was new to these gatherings) but still, that does look suspicious. I remember a Pie-maker in a certain comic book who asked at one point for people not to vote for him or accuse him or anything since he was going to be busy baking pies that day, and it turned out he was scum. He was obviously expecting to be voted for, and since the scum know that they're evil, they figure that they'll eventually get voted for or accused. Like Yasu said, she's sleeping right now, but when she wakes up, I'm sure we'd all love an explanation of her strange fear of the FoS. Unfortunately, we only get one unvote per day. It looks like we're going to have to be careful when placing our votes today.
  19. Genies? Visions? Grandfather, what's happening? We need to vote off one person a day because you had a vision that someone is trying to bring down our family? Where do we start? I'm going to need some more herbal tea...
  20. Sorry, Mother. Grating for you, what about us? You need to honor and respect your mother and me! I'm not going to go on and on about this, because your Grandmother has made it clear that she doesn't want us fighting like this.
  21. Aaand, that's your mother. Keep this up and eventually you'll end up picking a fight with your grandfather!
  22. That's no way to talk to your father!
  23. You're walking a pretty fine line, son...
  24. Ichirou here and ready to begin! I do! Let's just hope he doesn't lobotomize anyone...
