  1. I thought my entire argument was based off of me knowing I'm town? We don't know there's a living sane cop either. You're just conveniently assuming that you're sane. You need to wake up and smell the roses, Brickelodeon. There are more possibilities than what you've convinced yourself of. To everyone else - who are we thinking for a lynch? I want to lynch fhomess, but I don't know if enough people will get behind that. I don't think the vig action is of much help anymore.
  2. ...but you were just arguing that there are not multiple cops. The reason to believe it is because it fits perfectly. Two cops, and I'm clearly town (not just to myself, either - over half the town is backing me up here). If anything, there's no reason to believe Blackbeard's Shag is the SANE cop.
  3. I realize I'm being lynched today, and if it means it will "verify" this cop - great. But as a townie I know that there's a better use for today's lynch (like lynching fhomess). If you don't want to listen to me, don't listen to me, but this isn't a game of who can scream the loudest. My argument is based on my behavior and the fact that there are two cops. I do know that I'm town, but since you don't seem to want to hear that, I'll put that aside. You shouldn't be so sure of your investigation. I have made a myriad of points all day, and you have failed to respond to any of them. That's fine, but you don't get to turn around and strawman my argument. That's bad play and it's irritating. I'm disappointed. Thank you - this sums up the biggest issue here extremely well. We aren't playing a mechanical game here - if we were, there would be no reason to have human beings playing it at all! There are much better candidates for a lynch today than me. Shadows, fhomess, Zepher, etc.
  4. You're like a bull seeing red - you aren't able to see the full picture. My argument is not only that I know I'm town, but also that we know there were two cops, and even you're having doubts. I'm town and it's clear to everyone here.
  5. The proof is in the pudding, dude. If there was one cop, yeah, my fate would be sealed, but there are two. Why would Shadows lie about Draggy's claim? As scum and as town, there's no reason to, and it's a believable story (the one thing of his there is). Since I'm town, the other cop must have been the real one. There's simply no way I would act how I did as scum. Revealing the vig was a pro-town move and you know it. There was no reason for me to, and to put my head out there like that and open myself up for investigation - that would be suicide. If you think I'm such a good player as scum, then believe me when I tell you that play like that is not my play. I have been completely committed to ensuring that this town wins the game. I've said it all throughout - my actions speak for themselves. You can't name one scummy thing I've done except that I "didn't try to get a block together" even though it's unrealistic to do so on the first day and I pretty much started anyway. Is mafia a game of mechanics and night actions, or is it a game of behavior? This is the same mistake that was made in Party Lines - the Speaker assumed that the vig was real and dismissed the possibility of there being something more than just the mechanics. See what's right in front of your eyes, and evaluate me for what I've done, not for what a faulty night action says about me.
  6. Look, the evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of it being an insane (or paranoid, now that I think about it) cop. Dragonator was almost undoubtedly also a cop as well, which means that the chances of one being insane/naive/paranoid/etc. is much greater - especially since we also have that flavor cop! I've been nothing but town this entire game, and the only shreds of evidence you have against me are an insane/paranoid investigation result and the fact that you think I'm a good player (I'm really not - this is my townplay). At some point, Brickelodeon, you have to accept that you're barking up the wrong tree. That's just the bottom line. If the cop is insane, this is a great idea. The problem only arises later in the game if it's paranoid... In most cases, that's the best course of action. However, in most cases, there aren't two cops, and there usually aren't many better choices for lynch. In this case, there are. There's no one way to play, honestly. You take things as they come and deal with them as best as you can given the situation. While I know that my death won't be the final nail in town's coffin (although it will contribute to it), I believe that there are better courses of action. We have fhomess, who took the vigilante action. Bob made a good point that maybe it's best to not keep it in the game at all - I'd personally like to lynch him. We also have Shadows, who I think is playing a scummy game. I don't know what his angle is in telling me Draggy was the cop - maybe to throw shade on Brickelodeon tomorrow when I flip town? That's possible, actually. At this point he's just sitting back and letting me get fried, enjoying the fireworks. He'd be a good lynch too. Then there's Zepher, who I tried to kill and personally still believe to be scum. I don't see his lynch going through today, but I certainly can't be the only one who sees it in him. Bottom line is that there are better options than me, and they should be considered. I think you're on track with this except for thinking that I'm scum with him. He revealed the Draggy info (which I assume to be true, honestly) to discredit Brickelodeon when I flip town. I think you're over simplifying it. I don't think I'm the best lynch here, and lynches aren't about verifying. They're about catching scum. This needs to be considered too: if you lynch me, you get a dead townie who - at least in my opinion - is useful to town. I don't get to be a stump this time. Even if that confirms the cop hat as either insane or paranoid, it doesn't confirm which. Insane? Paranoid? What if it's a paranoid cop action and after my death you assume it's insane and clear everyone who turns up "scum", accidentally clearing real scum in the process? And what happens if the cop action is tampered with or Dave killed? Everyone's calling for the protector and watcher to be on the cop. First of all, we don't know we have either of those (although a protector is safe to assume), and it might even be possible that scum has those roles tonight. This game doesn't function like most. Then what happens if scum gets the cop action and uses it to "clear" one of their own? This game is not what we're used to, and we should adjust our play to reflect that rather than blindly lynching the investigation result. If town decides that it wants to be rid of me, then I'll accept that, but it doesn't mean that I won't try to open your eyes to what's really going on here.
  7. What does the flavor cop do??? Brickelodeon, I understand that you're very excited that you think you caught scum, but I'm honestly town. You can lynch me today and confirm that the cop is insane, but all it would result in is a dead townie. Your other reasons for suspecting me are bogus. Am I supposed to put together a town block on day one? No, and even so I actually began to (I was contacted by someone with an important role and weve been coordinating). Even last game started off slow, and I came out guns a blazing ready to catch scum and keep the vig out of their hands. I don't know what else you want from me. I'm disappointed that meta is clouding your judgement.
  8. I'm not sure. I'd like fhomess, actually. Shadows did lie, though - but why tell me Draggy was the cop? This Day is awful.
  9. If you accept that you were insane, then my lynch only gets another townie lynched. You don't get to believe that I'm scum AND that you were insane. And this is another thing. In a game like this, night action results aren't enough for a lynch. I believe my actions have spoken for themselves - investigation result or not. I really don't think I should be lynched today.
  10. So I'm not supposed to bring to light information that helps town? Dragonator's dead - his results won't help us anymore, so there's no reason to conceal his role. It isn't about saving my skin. I definitely don't want to get lynched, but if I'm going to go down, I'm bringing some scum with me. Awww, it's ok. This is a really good point. I found myself inclined to trust him last night and earlier today since in my experience vocal means town. But after being so totally duped last time, I can't be so sure this time. Well, Draggy wouldn't lie about having a cop action as town, so either Shadows lied about it or it was real. It makes sense though, an insane cop is usually paired with a sane one. Remember in Bloodbrick I? That went horribly wrong because of an insane cop. Didn't we just have a naive cop last game? If you're town, your cop action is insane. It's not stacked against town, since they had a real one too - he just got unlucky. Yes. That makes sense - both Draggy and TPRU would have been great SK targets (under the radar and not too vocal but not necessarily likely to be scum), and that explains what happened. Shadows redirected me to TinyPies and his scum team killed Dragonator because he told him his role. The only unresolved issue here is this: why would Shadows then tell me Draggy had claimed cop? That just illustrates my point that I was checked by the insane cop. This is scum trying to take advantage of a messy situation. Brickelodeon and I were talking about it last night (ironic, huh?), and we decided that Zepher would be the best kill. I had a townread on him early on, but the vote on DarkDragon was scummy to me. Scum are the ones who like to "poke" at quieter players - not town. I'm starting to agree with this.
  11. And why would he redirect to TinyPies? If he suspected Mencot, he would have just redirected to him. TinyPies was obvious town after yesterday, and his death would have meant nothing about Mencot's allegiance. Shadows is a better player than this. I think he redirected me to Dragonator because he told him he was the cop. But then why tell me he was the cop? We also need to consider who is to get the vig hat. There's nobody I trust now who hasn't gotten a costume yet. How are we going to decide this?
  12. So Shadows just told me that draggy was the cop. Do we trust this? I think it's possible that he redirected the real cop from me to scum so I would show up scum, then lied about redirecting my action to Mencot. When Walter's story got confirmed by DD, he knew he had to change his story. And what if he's telling the truth? Then we have no confirmed townies to give the vig action. And then what of Brickelodeon's cop? Insane? Fake? This is awful.
  13. Well, if it really is an insane cop, there should be a sane cop too, who hopefully has a town result. If Brickelodeon's cop is scum, then that simplifies that. What?? So you did redirect me to TinyPies?
  14. If there's a 4th killer, it'd have to be nontown, and that's stacked against us. If scum has two killers or there's two SKs, that'd be unfair. And then there can't be a second vig, or else they would have spoken up...
  15. This is possible. Maybe Shadows redirected the cop after all...
  16. Then what happened? Shadows' action can't have worked, because Mencot is still alive (and who would protect Mencot?).
  17. Someone used the poetry action against Walter... but he made a post earlier without verse. I highly doubt it. Scum must have a kill, and there's probably a SK, and then there's the vig, which we know didn't kill last night (much less kill one of those guys). Actually, now that I think about it, if I had no action because it was stolen, it probably wouldn't let you redirect it... Since Flash Cowl sends in night actions during the day for the steal, it probably takes precedence to your action.
  18. Well, Mencot's still alive, so your action can't have worked. Did it say you were unsuccessful? Why was there a third figure with Draggy and TinyPies then?
  19. This is a good point - whoever takes the helmet needs to confirm what it does. I wouldn't have done that as scum. I'm an audacious player, but there's a difference between audacity and stupidity. That should be a good indicator of my affiliation.
  20. Egon's Proton Pack is a redirector. I picked the item because Brickelodeon took what was supposed to be my item and I freaked out when I found that he had somehow gotten a scum result on me. In hindsight it must have been an insane cop, but I thought I was the victim of a gambit and took something as quickly as I could. But if you were unable to use it, then there is literally no other possibility than Walter stealing my action. Also, if I was scum and had found out about the action, why would I want it?? You're right, it doesn't help town. I wouldn't be taking anything of substance down with me.
  21. I plan on revealing the pack when def tells me what it is.
  22. Then why were there 3 kills on people I didn't target? You stole my item and used it against one of the other dead. Unless there's a redirector out there?? It really sounds to me like this Flash item is basically a redirector anyway. Walter is lying and is scum.
  23. I want Walter to answer this. I'm super pissed that he did it. I hope he lies about it so we can lynch him tomorrow when I flip town.
  24. Then Walter must have stolen my kill and used it against Draggy or someone. That's the only explanation. Which begs Walter's affiliation into question. If I had killed one of them, or even tried to kill one of them, I'd have said so. There would be no reason for me to lie.
  25. Also, thought you should all know - I tried to kill Zepher last night and failed. Was he protected? Was I blocked? I'm on my phone and having a hard time posting - but of course you'll try to pull the trigger on me as quick as you can because of Unrest in the Forest.
