  1. Fantastic, I always wondered what to use those radar dishes for, now I know, aslong as it's alright.
  2. Ok so is the one in this myth just a baby? Cool myth and great idea for C3 very different, would never have thought of that
  3. Thanks Mikel, I'm considering using the parts from the other two to try and attempt a larger Centurion type one. NM I forgot to reply, I can't see many people buying it, it's a nice idea but I think all they need is a little organizing into one topic or over on the wiki or something. Tashbaan that wyrm looks fantastic and a great story. Angeli It was my inspiration and felt they could belong in Historica. Si I think opening it up to all would be good, get some more votes in
  4. Hey guys, some great stuff with the politics thing I figured these had relevance in Mitgardia. A couple dwarven sentries to guard the mines. Flickr
  5. Abu Ali Great Myth! Khorne Thanks, I thought these might have been more Mitgardian but figured there's mines all over historica, I may or may not do a moc featuring these, for C3 a handful would look great but I need more pieces and they don't really fit in with my story either. If anyone else wants to try and make one feel free. Damaximus Cheers! I made another because the other was lonely.
  6. Abu Ali this is a great myth and lovely mocs, enjoyed the read, good job
  7. Great furniture, love the bars underneath, might have to borrow that although I don't think I have that many headlight bricks, bricklink!
  8. Sounds great Kayne hope the golem turns out good ThanksMikel. NM I'm sorry to hear about the disaster, I hope the inhabitants and locals are alright and everyone can be accounted for I managed to come up with a story but no mocs yet, I do have an idea though which I'll have to put into bricks after challenge 3, I'll still do the mini myth regardless I messed around with some gold parts and made this little fella, the Dwavern Sentry, protecting dwarven tunnel networks across historica.
  9. Sweet! The splash is fantastic and I love the brick built boat and the rock island, the dragon is great it reminds me of Leviathan from FFVIII. Great job
  10. Thanks Kayne, it's going to be an underground scene, the water crystal hidden in the depths of a ancient tomb, guarded by something? The growth around is coming from the crystal, after all it is the water crystal, the 'party piece' will be the light up brick underneath the perpetual pool, the crystal itself floating on a small sprout of water. I was thinking my first scene would be a dig site, yes a bit Indiana Jones but I'll try and make it a bit different, second scene would be in the tomb, the group of soldiers fighting off the restless undead, third scene being the shrine and a seperate one showing another guardian, a possible tentacle monster, the perpetual pool being some kind of incubator and a possible final scene showing the succesful minifig in retrieving the crystal and leaving in one piece. Can't wait to see your entry and everyone elses, it sounds cool, I would love to see some WIP shots and the guardians sound interesting. I always thought about some kind of Dwarvern automaton like Skyrims' but couldn't figure out how to do it without using technic/hero parts, might have to mess around with my gold pieces. Does anyone else have some ideas for guardians? There could be ghosts, skeletons, undead, mummies, tentacle monster, dragon, giant spider, giant scorpion, sand worm, something a bit different.
  11. Angeli That creature is truly terrifying, winged death. Mikel Your micro city and cave is looking great, could you add light grey to the cave to mix it up? Si Lord Flagg, I remember as a child being told of your great story truly amazing. (I love the thought bubble style photos) Here's a little something I whipped up, inspired by Skyrim I wanted to see what it was like in legos and probably incorporate it into my moc for C3 Here's a WIP shot of my entry for C3 I'd love some advice, I'm wondering what to put in the other corners, I have a few ideas, I could move the stairs into a corner and have a sand pile exit in the opposite corner but idk what to have in the other, any suggestions? perhaps incorporate the burial chambers into the scene and they could be the guardians? I was going to save it for a seperate scene maybe. Also, here's a minifig view of the shrine. C&C please.
  12. It's a sweet little set, I guess what sells it is it's price, at $10 it's a nice little gift for you to receive from your relatives aswell as being a multi buy to create a larger Apiary and extend the wall, also unless the cauldron comes in another set then to obtain it could be a selling point. I think it's a great little addition
  13. That's a cool ship there Si, would fit lovely in Kaliphlin Seeing all the wonderful ships popping up keeps reminding me to try and make one, maybe after Challenge 3
  14. Lovely scene, the pumpking bed is great. I think what lego's been doing with MMV and Joust Tournament and I suppose Mill Village Raid has been great to start making a medievil village scene, I don't think it's neccesary to have a whole line of castle creator sets, I'm sure after Lotr is finished TLG might do another castle theme with some more sets orientated around the more domestic side of castle, no idea when Lotr will finish though, could be a year, 2 or more. Cool moc
  15. Hey guys, Great tower Mikel, are those a load of discs making up the tower part? Love the ball bits and rope ladder, great story too, sounds like it could lead up to the discobery of a certain type of crystal Just noticed the spider on the string Robuko I plan on sending a small contingency instead of my sigfig, also the rock baseplate is from the 7739 Coast Guard Patrol Boat & Tower. I'm going to have to put the mini myth challenge on hold so I can get an early start on Challnege 3, I already have an idea which I'll be sticking with I was thinking of doing a few seperate scenes, one will be the discovery of the enrance to the Crystal's resting place the other will be the discovery of the actual Crystal and a possible other with some kind of trap we'll see. Looking forward to everyone's creations MOC on!
  16. SI Thanks, the idea was for it be a local's bar set in the residential area so the drunks won't have too far to stagger
  17. Oh my, that's amazing, the details love the dragon throne and the big carpety bit Excellent I look forward to more interior mocs from you.
  18. Cute little moc, the little blacksmith 'shack' is great, I'd imagine it to be the front porch of his workshop, the stream looks a bit odd though, the blue plates should be set in line or a plate below the 'ground' plates, if that makes sense. Nice moc
  19. Cool mines, I have an idea when taking photos of lava if you don't have a light up brick would be to shine a small torch like a maglite or something on the lava patch, I haven't tried it yet but it's an idea. Love the mine cart and interesting pick axe.
  20. Dama Thank you for the comment. Mikel That scale converter is good, nice find and your map is good, the zoo idea is great, perhaps I could create an enclosure for the giant scorpion or golden scarab. Also a museum could be interesting, but I think a zoo would be more fun. We could create a topic and everyone could put their enclosure mocs in there to keep everything in one place. Ska A University is a great idea too, I wonder if we could list different subject areas, magiks, alchemy, arts, mechanics and engineering, combat theory, architecture, etc.
  21. Creator Log Cabin, brown, green, some blue and dark red roof slopes, not to mention other little details like a minifig, chicken legs, etc. Other creator houses could be of use, they come with a 32x32 green baseplate and multiples of different bricks and roof slopes but no figs. StarWars doesn't offer much, expensive and have fleshies, not many landscaping parts. The Pirates of the Caribbean sets offer a variety of parts but the problem is fleshies which you could just swap with yellows and because it's licensed can be expensive for not too many landscaping parts. City fire sets have trees but come with the fire trucks and figs. There's also the new City Forest Police Station, it comes with some green and grey plates, those new brick bricks, trees and a mushroom and a bear, but again you have the unwanted police parts. At a cheaper price you have Robber's Hideout, that has the small rock pieces, tree parts, some green and dark tan plates, brick bricks, and those brown pallisade bricks aswell as a bear. Well that's all I can think of for any sets, but really just use pick a brick, I waited a while for my order but it came, you can buy plates, bricks, etc and I think you still get your vip points. It's a shame that you missed out on Kingdoms, you could just wait for Lotr to come out and see if it has many landscaping parts.
  22. Great work Kabel, loving the brickwork, I like the variation on the ground and the busy look of the place. The stained glass windows are good and that guy throwing up is funny looks like he passed out in the last photo
  23. Mikel I thought about adding a removable backwall when I started taking photos, but I shall keep it in mind for future builds. Don't worry about the drunk, given his current state I don't think he'd mind, he needs a wash
  24. Cool hearse and cool scene, in a weird kinda way, you don't see too many mocs like this. The coffin design is great, so much fun with the wheels, next moc, the runaway coffin Good job
  25. Finally an addition to the city, it may be small but it's a start! Local Wine Bar The Front, nothing fancy for a small local bar, a sign outside along with a drunk. The Bar, a bit cramped but cosy. A local chatting to the barkeep about current events and Kcaj in the corner with a colleague enjoying some plonk The Barkeep's Room, the barkeep must have saved up to buy that four poster bed ;) The Roof, a place to enjoy the tropical sunshine. and it's modular. Notes: Origionally this was going to be part of another moc but ended up going with something else. The walls are a bit bland, wasn't sure what to do with the windows, just a kind of freebuild I guess, tried to compensate by adding details here and there. I'll try and up my game for the next challenge though! Comments and Crits Welcome. More photos on Flickr. Cheers.
