I am in that exact same situation right now with bricks and pieces. I am waiting on a 600 piece order to finish 10221. Called them after 10 business days and they said they were behind and it would be 14 to 18 business days till i would get my order.

Just finished BLing the parts for 10221, now time to sort them all out.

Do UCS sets usually go on sale right before retirement?

Do we have any idea which UCS set will be retired to make room for the new Hoth one?

I am currently bricklinking 10221, I would recommend it as most of the parts are easily available. I will have about $500 in it by the end. I used lego replacement parts for a good amount of them as i found their prices comparable to used pieces on bricklink.

Good luck! I am currently doing my first bricklink of 10221 and I find it to be much more interesting to piece it together rather than just buying a set off eBay. I also want to 2nd the use of the Lego replacement parts site, their prices are competitive and shipping is very reasonable.
