  1. Are you sure the $159 isnt the price with the 20% already taken off, cos $159 is 20% off RRP of $199. If you are right then that is kind of unheard of for TRU to sell a new set at well below RRP!! And anyone got a price on the series 2 minifigs? One of the children I look after at my work told me he got a couple of spartans at his local TRU the other day for $2.50 each....I didn't believe him as I didnt think they had series 2 anymore, but now I am wondering......
  2. Mine hasnt been cancelled yet....but I am sure its only a matter of time. I placed my order at the last minute so they might be cancelling them in the order they were placed. Or it could be cos I ordered another item as well and I will be very very annoyed if they cancel all the POTC stuff individually and send the other item...cos I do not want to pay for express shipping for 1 measly item......
  3. Im still trying to decide whether to get the Barnes and Noble pre-order...running out of time...I figure if I buy the sets I want today the 10% off will cover the express shipping and I should have it next week...tempting, so tempting!!
  4. Amazon.co.uk has the Brickmaster series of books on sale at the moment. You can preorder the 2011 ones for a pretty decent price. I put the Ninjago and City Brickmasters in my cart and the total was around $35 delivered for the two books. It gave me free super saver delivery to Aus even though the total is less than 25 pounds...oh well not gonna complain!!
  5. What is their pricing like? Below, at or above Aussie rrp?
  6. WOW well done that is brilliant!! If anyone sees this deal in SA PLEASE let me know!! I only want 1! Or lostdriveway I will buy one from you for $150 :P
  7. Cool Thanks Craym0nk, here is the link for everyone else: Edit: Oops my bad that was an old one I had bookmarked from last time!! Fixed link! http://images.lasoomedia1.com.au/imageicon/TRU/PROD/J00513688/C_001/PAGE_001/TOYS_R_USBABIES_R_US_002A5C52.JPG
  8. The code gets emailed within 24 hours, but a month or so ago they blocked it from use on Lego and as far as I know that hasn't changed :(
  9. Similar deals at Giftcards.com and Cardpool.com....10% and 11% respectively
  10. Ahhh damn I just bought a box of S1 figs and listed the spares on ebay last night....unfortunately I have already sold out of some!
  11. If anyone didn't realise the 20% off Lego at Target appears to be continuing for another week! Also if anyone knows any Team Members that work for Coles Group they get double team member discount (goes from 5% to 10%) Thurs-Sun this week, double bonus if you know someone who can lend you their card!
  12. I feel like such a bad Lego collector for not caring about the boxes, except when I am reselling....I have no idea where I would keep all the boxes anyway! I am currently looking into importing more sets from the US minus boxes and assuming everything from inside the box arrives sealed it doesn't bother me at all....am i alone in this? Does everyone here hold onto the boxes?
  13. I think you are spot on there, it is not as much the way B&N pack, as the method of postage used. I have had many orders from B&N and all have been well packed, with plenty of airbags and still arrived damaged 90% of the time....why? Because I choose the cheapest shipping option, which takes a month to get to me. Any package that bounces around the postal system for a month is highly likely to get damaged regardless of the packing technique. Its worth noting that some of my damaged boxes have actually had things pierce the outer cardboard box....I wonder what sort of treatment these packages get! Lucky I am not too fussed about MISB otherwise I would be very disappointed. Still when you pay good money for something its really not good enough when it turns up crushed.
  14. You are lucky yours came in a box....mine came from COTD in a shurtuff bag....very badly crushed. I recently received Lego from BigW in the same way, plastic bag the only protection, very very annoying!
  15. is very happy :) :)

  16. I recently placed an order with TheHut.com too (currently KSTART15 coupon is giving 15% off toys). Zavvi.com is its sister site, depending on which coupon codes each one has available at the time both are a viable option with free shipping. Also dvd.co.uk removes VAT but charges shipping, each set is different in regards to shipping, some sets the shipping is only 1.99 GBP but sometimes its exhorbitant. But as Brix says, range isn't the greatest!
  17. AFAIK Amazon don't ship Lego directly here from either the .com or the .uk site :( Would love to be proved wrong on that though!!
  18. My Diagon Alleys should arrive tomorrow. I unboxed them to save on postage and I am offering one up at exactly what it cost me, $199. Shipping shouldn't be too expensive due to the lack of Lego box. If anyone is interested PM me, otherwise its heading for fleabay....
  19. My local ToyWorld still has Brickbeards Bounty for $140. Might pay to check out your local, especially if they have any % off sales coming up.
  20. I have a sealed S1 box coming my way, hopefully sometime this week. Assuming the box is in good condition you are welcome to have it! Minus the figs of course
  21. http://cheekyjunior.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=501 Cheeky Junior have it currently for $281.34. Not much cheaper than S@H I guess but saves the ridiculous shipping fee. For most states shipping seems to be only $8.95
  22. hi all, i have one, maybe two diagon alleys coming my way within the next week. If anyone in adelaide is interested in taking one off my hands please pm me a price you would be willing to pay. Im happy to drop it off to you if u r in the metro area. Cheers.
  23. Thanks for that, might have to check out the Fire Brigade Modular, I missed it when it was $150 odd at Myer, still happy with $200 I think, it can go next to my new Green Grocer :) As far as the S4 go, I've already got more than enough of those but thats good news for those who haven't ;)
