  1. I paid $199 for Diagon Alley and after building it I felt that it was a fair price. Personally I wouldn't pay any more than that though. I would say its "worth" $150-$200 but $223 or whatever it is may well be the cheapest we will see it in Aus. If you want it my suggestion is try to find someone with a Staff discount card who can save you an extra $10.... ie if you are in Adelaide....Me :D
  2. I am strongly considering getting a second Tower Bridge at that price.....to keep MISB until it is discontinued :D
  3. Most of this was already mentioned last week. I don't get what is cryptic about the kmart note though? The pic is of the new shuttle expedition set, it's just the 5512 part that was a typo. The new sponge bob sets being released this year are glove world and heroes of the deep so it is most probably them.
  4. Cool thanks, although as someone pointed out I'll go with B&N, bit cheaper and I get to keep the box, albeit probably crushed.....hehehe
  5. may i ask where you got the knight bus? Im pretty keen on the purple bricks :)
  6. Excuse me but your post made no sense, and you say that like I am the simple one for not being able to understand it. A more appropriate response would have been something like, sorry I didn't make a lot of sense there, what I meant was....
  7. Sorry, did not understand what you are saying there, at all.....
  8. I use shipito, they are great for consolidating multiple packages into one and they will also debox sets and pack them into smaller boxes on request. Their main warehouse is in CA though so you have to pay sales tax on purchases sent to them. I also use HopShopGo sometimes but only when they have a deal going waiving the expensive first kilogram charge they have. They will not debox sets or consolidate several packages into one package but they are located in Oregon which means no sales tax.
  9. anyone got a photo of the roof built with double slopes as opposed to the single ones...i am thinking of going down that route and would love to get an idea of how it looks...
  10. hi there, im trying to send you a message but its not working. Any chance you can link me to a photo of your cafe corner built using double red slopes instead of singles? Im thinking of trying the same but love to see how it turned out!

  11. $319 for the Tower Bridge is not too bad though because it is a heavy set to import. I got mine from Bricklink for $280 delivered but the seller later told me he misquoted the postage by $40 so if he had charged me the correct amount it would have been the same price. FYI if it hasn't already been mentioned you will be able to preview the Kmart Toy sale catalogue online June 23rd, and the sale runs 30th June - 13th July (all 84 pages worth!).
  12. So in the Lego Club catalogue they confirm Myer is getting the Tower Bridge, Kmart is getting the revamped Shuttle Expedition in July and Target are getting HP Diagon Alley.
  13. bn.com have the 'Farnsworth House' now. No 30% off coupon anymore but would it still be cheaper than buying it locally?
  14. Actually just read some fair trading stuff and they are well within their rights to withdraw the item from sale, but it is illegal to sell the item at the higher price when the lower price is displayed. So what they are doing is correct. Damn!
  15. I wouldn't get too excited about this...I have already heard of two people being told they can't buy it at that price..... It scans at full RRP and their standard line seems to be "Sorry we can't sell it to you as there is a price discrepancy so it has to be withdrawn from sale". Going to try at my local store tomorrow anyway but I don't like my chances. Although AFAIK if it is marked at that price then realistically they should sell it to you at that price (It's not a sticker for a different set or anything, the price sticker that says $49.95 clearly shows the correct set number).
  16. What Indiana Jones sets did they have and what where the prices like? I wish I had seen that...
  17. Sorry to ask again but does anyone have the $5 off code for May through to July 2011? I am placing a big order and it would be much appreciated!
  18. I wouldn't beat myself up about it if I were you, there is no guarantee our orders will get delivered and now that the deal is on every Lego forum I have looked at today I am definitely not confident. One person even claimed to have called thehut and been informed that they only have 25 QARs on pre-order from the distributor and they have already pre-sold 30+ so some people may be missing out. The thing about ordering overseas is patience, a good deal will always come and if it falls through there will no doubt be another one, but a lot of the time you cant afford to wait especially if its a present or something. As someone else mentioned box condition is another factor. I import a lot of sets and usually anything that gets sent airmail gets somewhat damaged (box not the contents). If I were you I would be happy with your purchase, but as someone else said doesn't hurt to keep an eye out for these sort of deals in the future!!
  19. If there is anyone left who isn't against ordering from TheHut.com they have a great deal on PoTC sets today. The sets are a pre-order for release June 3. The prices are already pretty good on most sets and there is a coupon code giving 20% off Lego. You can put as many sets as you want in an order and you get 20% off them all and free delivery of course. The coupon code is LEGO20 and I think it is valid today only. Im not holding my breath on the PoTC order being honoured but I am happy to give it a go at those prices. QAR comes out to about $92 delivered.
  20. I feel the same, I think the RRP should have been more like $30-40ish, but I definitely don't regret buying it at that price, after all it's a licensed set with 4 minifigures....
  21. Just thought I would say Hi and welcome to Eurobricks!

  22. Pretty sure the 31.20 price has been mentioned a few times already but interesting to hear that they have finally picked up their massive mistake on the rrp! Only took them a week or so!
  23. Before anyone else bothers, gepps cross tru are aware of the mistake and are no long giving the extra 20% off. well that's what the night manager said anyway.
