  1. Ok, all done. 200 made a better height because of the boxed entries and a few people with names that are far too long *cough*Supreme Commander Grievous*cough* ;-) Did make one assumption and moved adik_sa_lego from City to Licensed since it is a license, and one such set was already in the group. In a few cases, they could have been narrower, but I didn't want it to seem like some entries were given a size advantage any more than already naturally occuring from their original images. So, barring additions, licensed has 22 entries counting iamded's potentially disqualified one, which I did anyway. Whole set of images ended up smaller than a couple of the individual entries. :-| Resize, people! >:-( Edited to add entry #23: Supercopmike, mild mannered reporter for the Daily Fabuland Tattler. ;-)
  2. Lucida Sans is always nice and readable. I'll do the whole Licensed set, so they'll all match. Do you want them linked to their full size counterpart, or the post in this thread so someone can see the other pics?
  3. No problem at all. Since you made lists dividing up the themes, perhaps you could pm me the one for licensed, so I don't miss any I could read the first post. :-$ Now, do I thumbnail all 3 entry pics, or just the best one for each entry?
  4. Looks great! *y* I love that the M:Tron colour scheme combined with all of the interesting angles you've used and the long tail makes it look like an angry insect, ready to swarm into attack. Imagine a whole fleet of these descending on your star cruiser from out of nowhere. I really appreciate both the cockpit detail and the way you incorporated it at such an interesting angle, yet it all lines up in such a way that it looks like the pilot could comfortably and effectively fly the ship from there. Sometimes people try to do something interesting and give up logical design for looks, you managed to capture both. M:Tron MOC On! *y*
  5. It's a great set, and I don't remember any structural weakness at all. Even the treads, which seem like they would be boring and repetitive, were fun to me, though I can't really explain that. *wacko* All in all, a fine set for building and displaying. I'm not convinced it's really great for rolling around, that isn't something I've tried. As suggested earlier, I did a 'Purchase of the Droids' scene and left it at that, and I'm quite pleased. That said, if you don't own the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer, I'd buy it first. Clearly, it's a better deal with the current discount, and more likely to disappear sooner. Just don't miss out on the Sandcrawler either, it really is a nice set (and the later ones apparently come with a darker coloured C-3P0 than the standard one, which is something I wish I had instead of the original one).
  6. Another classic RebelRock creation! How do you spot a RebelRock MOC? Brilliant build + a twist: Something unexpected, unusual, or just insane, but most of all, a pleasure to look at. Thanks for sharing all of your great work! *y*
  7. Kept this one very simple and definitely within the bounds of reason for an Impulse set. A useful little addition to any expanding town, our friendly construction worker directs traffic around a Construction Detour. Includes: Bob, the happy construction worker (hey, he's directing traffic, it beats digging a ditch) Barricade A safety orange crate Shovel Pick axe Radio Traffic safety sign Lamp post Between groups of cars, he dreams of being a rock star and practices on his safety sign. Or, in Haiku style (really, more Senryū style, but with the changes in both formats over time, perhaps neither. Let's just call it good old-fashioned 5-7-5 poetry *wacko* ): Bob directs traffic With dreams of being a star Watch out for that bus!
  8. Last entry posted, a simple little City Impulse called Construction Detour. Kept this one basic, and very much within the intended budget. If it had wheels, I think TLG would produce it. X-D It does include free poetry though, so obviously that's a big plus for it. *wacko*
  9. Since there's an entire set of 2592x1944's in the Impulse entry thread, it's safe to assume that it's been turned off completely. >:-( But yeah, 640x480 or 800x600 are quite reasonable upper limits that people should be doing on their own.
  10. What kind of deputy would I be if I wasn't offering? Plus, if I don't win your love in the contest, at least I can get a little on the side. That sounds exactly as wrong as I intended. >:-)
  11. I voted for the one theme that had absolutely no parts I could use in anything else, thus making it worthless, even worse than Bionicle or +4 Pirates.
  12. Would running each of the three classes as completely seperate threads save some confusion since people can enter all three? If so, would it make your life easier if a volunteer put together one of the polls?
  13. Welcome to EB! Always glad to see another pirate rejoin the ranks! *y* Be sure to check out the Big Billboard o' Doom™ at the end of my post for some great ways to get involved in this wonderful community that you have joined!
  14. You could always whack yourself, then put it in a thread for all to see. Wait, you just did. :-| For an official contest, you may want to submit your idea here. Otherwise, if you just want to challenge someone to a whack-off, I'd suggest you send them a private message and arrange it that way.
  15. Funny, that's what I say about you. :-P It did turn out well, mostly thanks to Batbrick being such a bumbler good guest. ;-)
  16. I think he was saying that since the forum was sitting at http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/, but most people were logging in through the main page at http://eurobricks.com/forum/, the cookie wasn't carrying over (a cookie set on one site not working on another). Since diligent effort has been made to make the forum now register as part of the main site, http://eurobricks.com/forum/, that problem should be fixed. *y* Like it's been said before, there will be little issues, but they're being worked on things are already coming together nicely. It's a good time to sit back, relax with some bricks, and wait for everything to fall into place, as opposed to trying to adjust to each minor change as it happens.
  17. It's baaaaack!!!

  18. Without reviewing them one by one, I have to admit that there are some excellent entries here. To be perfectly honest, I'd buy most of them if they were released, and some I'd buy lots of. Voting is going to be VERY difficult. Great job everyone! Don't worry, if there is one thing you can count on around here, it's a fair contest and that's all the more reason that judging such things needs to be left to the site admins who run the contests. I certainly wouldn't say that "quite a few" haven't followed the rules though. I've noticed a few little things here and there, but that's to be expected. Sometimes it's just the language barrier keeping someone from understanding a specific point. Now, that having been said, my last entry will be a city scene depicting your sigfig in a tiny airplane being shot down by a ground based mini-artillery unit. I like to call it "Shoots LegoLyons Down in Flames" >:-) ;-) Ok, so that isn't my real 3rd entry. I just haven't been inspired yet, and heck, it's still 3 or 4 days to go... 8- Impulse On! *y*
  19. It was discount day for me at Target. Used several of the $5 coupons (yes, I know it says one per transaction, but the cashier said, "oh, it's fine" so score!), some sets were on sale (maybe 10% off) and I had a general 10% off card for the store, so it was one of the rare recent times when I've managed to get a little bit of a deal. *y* Problem is, they didn't have much ... 4996 Beach House 7622 Race for the Stolen Treasure 7670 Hailfire Droid Couple of Mars sets (I can't remember which ones, I just figured I should) A few of each of the Original Trilogy Battlepacks Overall, a fairly decent buy. Visited a Wal-mart and they had plenty of sets that should have been on clearance, all priced within $1 of full retail. :-|
  20. Two words: Lighten up. :-| New Look and New Attitude On! *y*
  21. ... and pass the Lo Mein.

  22. Now please, stop asking to be on the show. If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, not again!

  23. Still not there.

  24. A nice guy, but bad at turning off settings.

  25. Great topic, I'd forgotten about these little sets as well. These were vastly superior to any of the fast food promos we've had in the US. Europe has had promos like this since then, and it's just a shame we can't get anything this good again... :-( Come on TLG, bring us back some of this happiness. Quality Promo On! *y*
