Yo Grevious, how much are you trying to combat the virus though? I'm just saying, the tougher your equipment, the less it bothers you (Case in point: My system is crackproof to anything but deliberate installation of virus by myself and perhaps a hardcore hacker who hates me for killing his family, and I've never seen the virus once in my life.)Of course, you don't have to be an iron casket, just get your firewalls up, either fix your holes in IE or get FF, get your antivirus going, use HijackThis to help clear out any extra holes, and you'll be free to surf BZP. And yeah, I can say I lol'd at Vezon in this new story. Really cool I think. I think Greg's getting better at the Serial style....I mean, I'd almost say this is a better way to give us story than the books, if it weren't so short.

Alright, so what is Onua like? Is he....I dunno, Strong? Thick shouldered? Short like Pohatu? I assume he's mostly black; will you let me know if there is any variation in the other standard colors (other then the grey overload....geeze Lego, I thought were past this!) Likewise on Gali...any notable feminine characteristics? (I'm not holding out hope). What about their weapons? Is anything distinguishable? For example, are they all flat looking blades, or something else?

Pretty hard not to be alienated if they're going in a totally new direction. It's just the nature of things. Out with the old, in with the new.
-
That's the news these days.
-
Oh, is that what it is? I dunno, perhaps just a description (if you have seen them in person) would be better? These are kind of....hard to read.

So this is why we've been getting all these cryptic hints about Shadow Toa...seems Takanuva is gonna do a flip on us. How fun. Really not a big fan of the little Matoran fellow, and unfortunately the bigger sets seem like they'll be too expensive.

Because there is porn on youtube and the bionicle fansite Mask of Destiny (or Mod) has forums that tend to contain material we'd like not to expose children to.
-
Good luck trying to show any kind of emotion with that.
-
Oh yeah? I need a Hakann ^^ Anyways, I've heard rumour of Icarax being in stores; I know we've got the Ebay image, but are there any better RL pictures or reviews of some kind?

I think your real problem is with your names. It's great trying to make them seem ancient and mystic, but they have to at least pretend to be pronouncable. If all else fails, steal from the Maori. I mean, Lego did it, right? I kid. Don't steal from the Maori :P

Basically you're right. 2007 was toted by the writer of Bionicle as having a tragic ending. So we're all like "Oh no" because we all thought someone was going to die. And they did. One of the main characters, the white "Good guy", if you will. So then this year started getting some mention, and it was toted as being even more tragic. So the topic starter is thinking, if one "good guy" is tragic, then three is uber tragic. And thus, we have a topic.

His mask basically enhances a power he already has-now he can absorb energy from a distance, instead of just touching. I figured that most of the mask powers would be Rahkshi powers.

I've actually thought about it, and maybe some clever switching of limbs might improve the Phantoka quite a bit. Give Kopaka Pohatu's legs and use his long arm peices to lengthen up Pohatu, and then do something with Lewa, although he's really not that bad.
-
Hear Hear. I know I'm the only one happy about Icarax's old mask (what a pleasant surprise, Lego staying consistent!) but Mutran is a complete failure after the work of art that was Nocturn. I see what they're trying to do with the Nuva, but I just don't understand why they can't give them realistic limbs. Kopaka Nuva looks pretty cool, and honestly in that comparison I might choose him if his limbs didn't look so stupid. Removing his launcher will help, but they really just need to be the old Metru legs like Jaller Mahri had. He had perfect proportions...why Lego, why must you change that? It looks somewhat alright on Pohatu, and while he doesn't look at all speedy now, his "function" is cool. Lewa looks good, but he suffers from the same exact flaw with the arms, and his lack of green and surplus of grey brings him down. I don't know why Lego thinks grey is a good color for sets. They were doing so good in 2007...all the sets were bright and vibrant, and now they're dull.
-
Some of them look good, but Kopaka Phantoka needs new forearms before anything else can be done. It is lucky he is in Metru Grey, it shouldn't be hard to find some shorter peices. He has the Monkey syndrome some of the sets have suffered from. Read my lips Lego: Hands do not look natural when dangling below the knees.

It's confirmed at BZP; the toys are POS. I would encourage people with smaller children or those who enjoy happy meals to refrain from purchasing them as long as this is running, if nothing else to show Lego they really must focus on quality or stop doing this kind of promotion all together.
-
Yes. It is. :P
-
I couldn't participate, but it would be awesome to see.
-
It'd be cool, but they have a piece limit of like, eight, so good luck. And yes, I mostly spectate, but I am here.
-
The food is still disgusting.
-
They have to advertise their sets because they distribute millions of free magazines with comics in them every two months. Do you realize how expensive that is? And more importantly, can anyone give a satisfying ending for 20+ characters in the eight or so pages the comic has available? If you can, by gods, please tell me how, because that's a problem I've been trying to figure out for years.

He got hired because back when he tried his art was amazing. Look at some of the landscapes in the first issue of his. Look at most of the characters...it is beautiful. The problem is it's very obvious this guy stopped caring about halfway through the Inika/Mahri saga. So he's just doing what he has to until his contract runs out. Anyway, what's the point of complaining about not having a battle and then complaining about how childish a story is getting *points to "2001 is best" topic*, because I'm pretty sure story exposition is considered more mature then an old school brawl.
-
Well, Piraka did too :P Anyway....Toa Ignika is weird. Plain and simple. I don't like the board.
-
I will bet you a million dollars it is. They're considered faces, so I don't count them. They can be used as masks...but then, so can a lot of things.
-
Personally I dunno if all these masks are a good thing...Lego got the hint in 05 and 06 that classic plastic masks are awesome for sales, but we're getting a huge amount. If each Makuta has a new mask, each Matoran has a new mask, and each Nuva has a new mask shape, plus the undoubtably new Titans...geez, what is the total count by now? Going by unique shape, we have 13 masks in 2001, 6 in 2002, 3 in 2003, 8 in 2004, 1 in 2005, 9(!) in 2006, 6 in 2007, and now 18+ in 2008?? geeze, that's some 64 masks. How do we even keep track anymore? :P
