  1. Thanks everyone. I have it finished. more or less that is. just need to add some more details and take some more photos. here it is: more photos on flickr
  2. There is allready enough space for a minifig to stand inside the bridge. Where ever there is a door a minifig can stand inside. Everthing is at least 6 bricks high. But I still need to build an interior for the bridge though.
  3. Nice loader and truck. I recognized it as dutch even before saw where you are coming from. The Netherlands of course. Well done. And build the truck as well. It will be a nice addition to the shovel
  4. thanks everyone, here's the result of receiving a couple of Bricklink orders: Now it's a matter of trying to get a hold of 500 tan platex 1 x 8 for not to much money. I need them for the two decks. Till the next update.
  5. Actually there aren't that many tiles in the ship. Only the black of the hull, the dark red hatch and the top of the deck of the wheelhouse are tiles. the rest is all bricks and plates. the tan decks consists out of plates 1 x X on their side.
  6. Here are some photos of my latest work in progress. Ship Calypso of Capt. Jacques Cousteau. It is in a 1:40 scale which makes the final Moc around 1.05 m long. I have used around 8500 bricks when it is finished. Still a lot of work to do. The front half is all most done. All there is left to do is detail work like handrails and some bricks to close the wheelhouse. I am now starting with the other half of the ship
  7. @ lightningtiger: I have never seen the designs you turned up with. But the designs are pretty similar . When it was finished, I thought it looked a lot like general Grievous' starfighter.
  8. In the StarTuning galaxy there are two starfighter pilots. One of them recently recieved a brand new KLT 37-v1.0 starfighter. Which, as it turned out, had some design flaws. Never the less the pilot was pretty happy with his flyer. But when his younger brother placed an order at StarTuning for a KLT 19VX20, in yellow, he became jealous. He decided to scrap his fighter and took the remains to StarTuning and kindly requested a new build..... Well, here at StarTuning we don't raise our eyebrows, we just go to work. So we took what once was a KLT 37-v1.0 and prepared our selves for some long days and nights of hard work Many designs passed, all to great enthusiasm of the pilot, but not one of them met the standards of StarTuning. So, when the sun set for the 7th time to end another day, this is what we came up with: A brand new KLT 37BL-70. Nicknamed “Blue Vengeance” callsign : J-10 It comes with: Three Engines, a custom leather seat, retractable landinggear and it is covered with mechanical bits and pieces, even we don't know the meaning of. All we know is: the pilot likes it. His younger brother is expected to walk in at StarTuning within the next week. Her are some pics: more photos at Flickr
  9. and here is the start of the Calypso. Still need so many bricks to finish the complete ship. I will first finish the complete front section and then start to build the back section of the ship. The two parts will then be connected with technic pins

Thanks everyone. Nice to be on the front page. At first I wanted to build a hanger, but since that is done so many times ( and some are very good) and due to a lack of enough tiles and bricks I decided to photograph the scene with just a white background. The advantage of that is, that all the equipment can be seen very well, which might not have been the case if I had build a hangar. Most of the set up is already broken down, because I build this for my two sons to play with. I am not a Sci-Fi builder at all, but the models I've build lately are just to keep building while saving up to buy bricks for my much larger project: Ship "Calypso" of Jacques Cousteau. The Lego I build the Sci-fi models with, is from my sons

This is a set up with my second Flying space thing (Would not dare to call it a starfighter.) some pilot dude was in need of some extra speed.....
  13. Thanks everyone, for those who can't wait (like myself) for the "Calypso" to be finished in real bricks, here is a render: Many thanks to blakbird for rendering the MlCad file of the "calypso"
  14. I like the rat rod and the delivery van the most. The van because it brings backgood memories. I had that set and your updated version is great. The colors of your rat rod are perfectly chosen. Well done
  15. Yes, Barman is a dutch guy and Lowlugger . It stood at Legoworld 2011 the complete 8 days and atracted a lot of people. I believe Barman is going to create building instructions for the crane as well.
  16. V-A-2B This heli is meant to be stationed at the heli-platform on the "Calypso". the famous ocean explorer vessel of Jacques Cousteau. I started building it without creating it first in Ldraw, so I just discovered that it is just a litle too big for the ship. So I made an Ldraw version of it that is just a bit smaller. here is a photo of the helicopter and this will be the ship it is meant for. ( i still have to finish it in ldraw, before I start building it for real) hope you will like it. for more go to my Flickr page:
  17. Great Moc. Just the machines I like. Large mining equipment. Perfect scale and nice details.
  18. That is one hell of good Moc. Superb build.
  19. I guess you are the same person who send me a flickr mail with this request. You can have the Ldraw file of this Tug. Just don't forget to credit me for it. If you sent me your emailadress via flickrmail I'll sent you the file. And thanks for the compliment
  20. Your cars are real good. I like the two citroen vans best. I remember my father had an orange 2cv van (from his work) and yours is just a perfect look a like. Great job.
  21. Great restaurant. I can really appreciate all the little details. well done. That chilli up front... great work
  22. Thanks everyone. It was a nice ship to build. @ leg godt gud: In width it is 29 studs and it is apr. 60cm long. So it is 2 studs wider and about 20cm shorter than my trawler. @ vincent Kessels: You can also see most of my other mocs @ legoworld ( 23rd till 26th oct) I'm taking my three mining excavators, my two Sandvik models and the two ships with me. @ L@go: The trawler. yes, I do think it will be very difficult to ever match that Moc. I might as well stop Moccing then.. Kidding. it is way to much fun creating things out of bricks.
  23. This is my latest Moc. A Tug used in the Harbour of Rotterdam It is Minifig scale apr. 1:40 Designed it in Ldraw first. took about a month. Building time was less than 3 weeks it is on display the last four days of Legoworld Zwolle 2011 Enjoy more photo's at my Flickr photostream
  24. Thanks. I know the sandgreen... especially the jumperplates were hard to get as were the tan pin joiners. they each cost a fortune. but it was worth it.
  25. it is finished. here are some photos it measures 27 studs widt and 101 studs long. more photos on flickr enjoy.
