  1. Now Finished, see Post # 45. Hello all, here we go again another vessel. it is a commisioned build for a employee of Fairplay towage. The FAIRPLAY-33 is a sea going tug of 49m. in my favourite scale that makes the model 123 cm long, 35 cm wide and 73.cm tall. FP-33 by Konajra, on Flickr As always I started to design the model in Ldraw. It is almost done after 150 hours of Ldraw work. fairplay-33-1 by Konajra, on Flickr FAIRPLAY-33-2 by Konajra, on Flickr The youtube video shows 360 degree view of the ship with only the reardeck to be completed. The first Brickstore list of 12.000 bricks has been emailed to the client. Now it is just a matter of finishing the ship, send another brickstore list with the last parts and then wait for the bricks to arrive and start building. More will follow when the Ldraw file is finished. Collecting all the bricks will take some time I guess.
  2. It is a nice model. Well done on the colorscheme and the hull. it has the right shape. great work on the rudder too.
  3. Wonderful creation. The roof of the buildings are very nicely done. I like the colors you have chosen. Especially the blue for the doors is a nice touch.
  4. Thanks for all the kind words. @ Alexgri: I don't know the exact cost because I had already a nice amount of bricks in my collection, but it did cost enough.
  5. Sorry, this time no WIP pictures. Here is my latest Ship: Consul Pust Steamtrawler by Konajra, on Flickr Consul Pust Steamtrawler by Konajra, on Flickr Consul Pust Steamtrawler by Konajra, on Flickr Consul Pust Steamtrawler by Konajra, on Flickr more on my flickr account
  6. Nice museum. And well done on the top dome. Also, I like the way you used the new wall bricks at the back. It makes the back more interesting to look at.
  7. Thanks guys, I have been working on my steam trawler again. So I think I'll have that one finished before Skærbæk.
  8. your roads and the trafic lights are great. As well as the green zone between the two lanes. I always like black roads. It's a shame that in real life they turn to grey after a while.
  9. I've continued working on the Consul Pust. after finishing the steam tug, I thought that I could start with the hull although I still miss a lot bricks. here is the result so far: Consul Pust WIP by Konajra, on Flickr Consul Pust WIP by Konajra, on Flickr And as usual I'll update this thread when I have build some more.
  10. What a great plane. well done on the details. I'll vote for it. I like the chrome and silver. It goes well with the other colors you have used.
  11. @ Phred: I'll keep it in mind. I manage to finish the steamtug today. Pretty happy with how it turned out. It is much smaller than my other ships but never the less it was a nice model to build. here are some photos: stoomsleper Maarten by Konajra, on Flickr stoomsleper Maarten by Konajra, on Flickr stoomsleper Maarten by Konajra, on Flickr more on my flickr photostream. Hope you like it too.
  12. Wow, great firetruck. I always envy builders that can create vehicles in minifig scale that are just spot on. I've tried it several times but was never satisfied with wath came out of my hands. All of your cars are so well build. A pleasure to look at.
  13. It's going to be my second. Last year I was 4 days at Legoworld Zwolle, The Netherlands. I don't know exactly when I can continue with the Consul Pust. I hope that the Lugbulk order arrives somewhere in june/ july. Then I'll be able to finish that trawler. I hope it is finished before the end of september. Why do you ask? Can't wait for it to be finished?
  14. Great. looking forward to meet you. I assume it is going to be denmark?
  15. Thanks L@go, if you want to see them for real sometime, this year I'm going to Lego® fanweekend in Skaerbaek, Denmark in september and to LEGO® Fanwelt 2012 in Cologne, germany in november. All of my ships will be there. the beamtrawler VLI-8, the tug Smit Bison, the Calypso, this one and I hope I can finish the Consul Pust before Skaerbaek too. als je nog even geduld hebt... later dit jaar zet ik de Ldraw file van deze sleper op mijn website. dan kun je hem downloaden. www.konajra.com
  16. Hello all, Since I could not continue my other ship because the lug bulk has not yet arrived, I decided to order the remaining bricks to build my other Ldraw file. the dutch steam tug "Maarten" stoomsleper maarten by Konajra, on Flickr I already had a lot of black for the hull because I took my P&H front shovel apart. The rest of the bricks I needed, I ordered on bricklink. Unfortunately one order got stuck in the mail, so I wasn't able to finish it. this is the state of the "maarten" at the moment. stoomsleper Maarten WIP (1) by Konajra, on Flickr stoomsleper Maarten WIP (2) by Konajra, on Flickr Hopefully the missing order arrives somewhere next week, so that I can finish this litle tug.
  17. thanks for the compliments. I don't work with such machines. I'm a bicycle mechanic. I just find those huge machine very intresting. Only the two Sandvik models are displayed. The rest has been broken down because I needed the bricks to build some new mocs. Right now I'm into ships. check my flickr page to see more. I build the Sandvik mobile crusher at first just for myself, but it turned out bigger then I thought it would. Then when Sandvik asked me if I wanted to build a second one for them, I decide to just sell my own. They did however wanted the beltbridge to go along with the crusher. So that one was build on request of Sandvik. glad you like them.
  18. A bucyrus mining shovel: bucyrus 495HF syncrude-29 by Konajra, on Flickr A P&H mining shovel: P&H 4100xpc__1 by Konajra, on Flickr A liebherr mining shovel: Liebherr 996_2 by Konajra, on Flickr A komatsu dozer: komatsu D575a_1 by Konajra, on Flickr A Sandvik Mobile crusher: Sandvik PF 300 mobile Crusher by Konajra, on Flickr and at last a Sandvik beltbridge: Sandvik beltbridge by Konajra, on Flickr All models are minifig scale (for which I take 1:40) and are fully operational via Power function and/or pneumatics. Both Sandvik models are without PF because they are displayed in the headoffice of Sandvik in Leoben,Austria. But they can be easily motorized with PF. I have tested that before the were shipped to Austria.
  19. Nice school bus. Good use of the plate 1 x 6 train end. And a colorfull Ice cream van.
  20. Great entrance. Looks just like the real one. You have used the right Lego colors and the letters are nothing but brilliant. well done!
  21. Thanks everyone. @ MetroiD: there are not so many yellowed/ dark grey bricks needed to get the result of the ldraw file. @ TheKingOf Building: I'm not sure what the total costs will be when I start on a new model. Every time I finish a Ldraw file that I think is worth building for real I start with collecting the bricks I need for it. I buy for about €125 euros per month on bricks and only the bricks I need for a certain model. Long live Brickstore and the Bricklink wanted list. After building three ships I know the cost for a 1 meter long model will end up somewhere from 500 till 800 euros. The smit Bison tug was the cheapest and the trawler VLI -8 the most expensive due to the sandgreen elements and a lot of dark red bricks for the hull. So collecting bricks takes me about (average) 4 to 5 months for one model. I have build some more: the deck and some deck equipment Consul Pust WIP (2) by Konajra, on Flickr At the moment this is all I can build since I am waiting to be able to order the last bricks so that I can start with the hull. After that I have to wait on my Lugbulk order to be able to fit the deck in to the hull and place the last details. when there is more I'll post it here. Hope you like it.
  22. Hello all, I have started building on my newest ship. The Consul Pust. It's a 1920 german steam fishing boat. There are no photos to be found of this ship only some images of cartboard models and a digital designed model. this is my example image: Consul Pust by Konajra, on Flickr I started designing the model in Ldraw first, like i do with all of my models. I finished the file somewhere in march. this is how my model turned out: Consul Pust final 1 by Konajra, on Flickr After some discussion on the Lowlug forum I decided to weather the ship. So that it looked more like my example: consul pust weathered by Konajra, on Flickr After that it was collecting bricks again. I still do not have all the parts I need because some bricks are in my Lugbulk Order, which I hope will be delivered somewhere in june/july. I did however had enough bricks to make a start with the brigde: Consul Pust WIP by Konajra, on Flickr That's all for now. I'll update this thread when I have build another part. Hope you like it.
  23. On the europe modelshow in Ede last march, Ingmar told me that he will never make instructions. He said, more or less, that if you want to build one of his models, you should try it with looking at photos of his Mocs. That is also the reason why he just showed some internal parts of his Bell tracked Dumper (youtube video)and not a complete chassis with all the gears and PF. He rather spents his time building new stuff then creating complete building instructions.
  24. Thanks everyone. It was a very nice ship to build. At this moment I have started a new one in Ldraw, Of course.
  25. Thanks L@go, I'm not changing anything just want to add some more scuba gear. Videos of this ship are showing alot of equipment on board, so... and of course the french flag has to come.
